Scenes From Our Weekend

Feb 6, 2017

Started the weekend off right with some cardio and leg weights.  This tank + leggings + shoes are on constant repeat.

Tank | Leggings | Shoes

Friday I hit up Xao Bao Biscuit for lunch.  I love that place so much.

The cabbage pancake is always a must and we also shared the black bean encrusted chicken.

Frances Moon was ready for the weekend in style.

Friday night I headed out to dinner with some girlfriends at O-Ku.

What I wore:

Blouse (also in white ) | Jeans | Pumps

We stopped at The Macintosh for a drink for first.  They make a martini with pimento cheese and bacon stuffed olives and it is so good!!

Saturday the kids and I took a road trip to Wilmington to see some family.  I was comfy and casual for the drive.  This sweatshirt dress is so soft and my scarf is only $25.  I am wearing a XS in the dress it runs on the large side.

Dress (also HERE) | Scarf | Shoes

The kids had never stayed in a hotel before and they were just a little bit excited.

Thanks for all the dinner recs in Wilmington we tried to get in Las Olas and Tower 7 but the wait was almost an hour and we didn’t want to do that with the kids.  We stumbled upon Blue Surf Cafe and it was perfect.  Kid friendly and the food was really good!  We loved the pimento cheese and bacon chips.

Enjoying a glass of wine at our hotel after dinner.

The boys chilling at my aunt’s house.

Frances is always a little left out when Sterling and Finley get together.  I love her gazing from the background.

Sunday calls for lipgloss:)

Realized that I may have a bit of a leopard obsession.

These bags are the best for travel and I can’t tell you often I wear this leopard dress.

Tote | Duffle | Leopard Dress | Pumps

Here is a look at the dress on.

I let the kids stay up for the half time show because they loved Lady Gaga.  She killed it, such an amazing performance.

Have a great start to your week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jan 9, 2017

Happy Monday!

I forgot to share a few picture from last weekend.  Our good friends came down for NYE with their 3 girls:)

My best friend Erin and I with our girls.

At Ellis Creek Fish Camp.

Getting excited for the big night. Confetti balloons are always a good idea.

We had a NYE lunch at Leon’s.  I dream about their Siam Salad and fried brussels sprouts.

The kid’s sharing a cheers of sparking cider for NYE.

Listening for fireworks.

NTE outfit, although I was in sweats by 10!

Vest (similar) | Blouse | Jeans | Watch | Lip color is Sensual Rose

Back to this weekend!  Friday night I finally got to visit the new Goat Sheep Cow.  I can’t wait til the weather warms up to enjoy their patio!

What I wore:

Blouse | Jeans | Pumps (similar) | Purse | Watch | Earrings

We shared a cheese plate, that was delicious.

I had the salad with “crack cheese” toast and let me tell you it was amazing.  They sell the crack cheese at their cheese shop and it will blow your mind.   We all also shared the roasted veggies.

We enjoyed this red wine.  It was really tasty.

We ended our night at The Ordinary.  Doesn’t our waiter look just like Stiffler?

Saturday was a gym day and then we laid low because the weather was so cold and yucky.

My favorite high waisted Zella pants are out in a few new designs.  Loving this black stripe.

Leggings | Water Bottle | Shoes

Two new juices I am obsessed with from Whole Foods.  My sister in law let me try the Mommy juice last week at her house and I immediately went and bought a bottle.

Sunday was another lazy day.  The weather was so cold here all weekend.

This sweatshirt is so cozy.  It is fleece and under $25!

Sweatshirt

I tried out Green Chef this past week.  I am typically not a fan of these meal delivery services.  I love to cook and shop for groceries so they never appealed to me.  My sister gave me a coupon for Green Chef and all I had to pay was the $9 shipping fee for 3 meals so I figured why not?  I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.  The food was really good.  I like that you can choose what category you want : Vegetarian, Omnivore, Vegan etc.  Plus it is all organic.  This was my first meal a spin on the Nicoise Salad and it was really yummy.

So true.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Dec 5, 2016

Now that it is December I feel like our weekends are filled with lots of fun stuff.  Here is this past weekend’s happenings.

Thursday’s Outfit.  My cashmere sweater is now 60% off.  Yes I am still wearing flip flops in December,  it has pretty warm in Charleston!

Sweater | Earrings | Jeans | Flip flops

We had a double playdate at our house Thursday.  I picked the girl’s up first and then we went to wait for the boys at the bus stop.  The girls were so excited to see their brothers get off the bus:)

A few of my current favorite cookbooks.  I meant to include these on my post Friday as any of them would make great gifts for the Foodie.

Host | The Happy Cook | Skinny Taste

Cooking for Jeffery | Its All Easy | Love and Lemons

Malibu Farm | The Forest Feast | Cravings

Foster’s Market Favorites | Mexico

Friday we had dinner/ playdate with a few of our best friends.  I made this cheese platter for us moms to enjoy.

I wore this leopard sweater that I bought earlier this week.

Leopard Sweater

My best gals.

The taught me how to use Snap chat.  We had a bast with all the filters.

Saturday we headed to the Garden and Gun Jubilee.  I had never been before and it was so fun.  We stopped for brunch first at Ms Rose’s.  This place was such a gem with a great menu and drinks.

We had mimosa flights and I had the Caprese flatbread and pimento cheese grits for my meal.  The grits were so good!!

What I wore:

Sweater (on sale) | Blouse | Jeans (on sale) | Boots

The Jubilee was split into a few sections.

This was the wall right when you walked inside.  Super cool to see all the past magazine covers.

There were so many cool vendors where you could shop and eat and drink.  One of my favorites Goat Sheep Cow was there.  They have the best wine and cheese.

They offer golf cart rides to take you to the other outdoor tents.

Sally King Benedict one my favorite artists was there.  I just adore her art.

She did a collaboration with Twine and Twig and the necklaces are gorgeous.

I loved all the flowers at the SYG Designs booth.  She also made some beautiful wreaths.

The event was so much fun.  I already told my parents they need to plan and come next year!

Sunday poor Sterling woke up screaming that his ear hurt so we headed to urgent care and he had an ear infection.  Crazy thing is he has never had an ear infection before.  We laid low during the day during so he could rest.

I picked up some fresh flowers when we got his medicine.  Christmas cards from friends are starting to roll in and it makes me so happy!

Two favorites currently on sale:

This white blouse is now on sale plus extra 40% off!

White Lace Blouse

This poncho has been a great find.  It is so easy to toss on over anything.  It looks cute with leggings and jeans and it is 40% today making it under $50.

Poncho

I made crispy prosciutto wrapped asparagus for dinner.  Sterling had been wanting me to make this and it was so simple and tasty!

Happy Monday.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Nov 7, 2016

Thursday night I headed to our monthly girl’s supper club at my friend Ann’s house.

Rocking some leopard and ruffles.  I am wearing the US 6 and it is slightly sheer FYI but I am not wearing a tank underneath.

Leopard blouse | Earrings | Jeans | Ring

I only got to stay about an hour before I got a call from Matt saying Frances had stuck a bead up her nose so I left to meet them at the ER.  Luckily it was not high up her nose and came right out.

Here she is sleeping soundly afterwards and no joke she is still wearing her bracelet from the hospital she will not take it off.  Matt laughed and said it was the most expensive bracelet she owns.

Friday I met my friend Ashley for mani/pedis and lunch at Butcher and Bee.  We tried the Greek wine flights.  I always love a wine flight it is a fun way to try out different wines.

I had the mezze platter with kale salad, spicy carrots and falafel.  You really can’t go wrong with anything at Butcher and Bee.

Later that day we took the kids to see the new trolls movie.  8 kids together at a movie was no joke.  I could barely watch the movie but the kids had a blast.  The music was really good!

Saturday we ran some errands and had lunch at East Bay Deli.  I love the Carolina sandwich.

I worked in Frances Moon’s big girl room.  I hung this painting by Marquin Designs that I am loving!! We also found a fabulous sparkly dress for her birthday and the holidays from Pink Chicken.

Saturday night I watched a Hallmark movie.  Words can’t describe how much I love a Lifetime/Hallmark holiday movie.    This sweatshirt and pants are my go to loungewear.  I have also been loving the Love and Lemons Cookbook.  So many great recipes.

Sweatshirt | Pants | Pom Pom Throw

Snuggles before bed.

Sunday we went to church.  Then did a little grocery shopping for the week.

My church dress is now 40% off, I am wearing a size 4.  I love it with heels for church but it is also really cute paired with booties or knee high boots.

Dress | Pumps | Necklace

Frances thought it was hilarious to put doughnuts over her eyes in the grocery store.

Made two salads for my lunch this week.  Both are so good and really easy to toss together.

No Mayo Broccoli Salad + White Bean Salad (this recipe came from The Happy Cook by Daphne Oz) see below

Don’t miss out the Nordstrom Clearance sale is going on right now.  Most items are 40% off and many are up to 60%.  I rounded up my top picks.  Scroll through to see them.

!function(d,s,id){var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’;if(!d.getElementById(id)) {e = d.createElement(s);e.id = id;e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘widgets.rewardstyle.com’ + ‘/js/lookbook.js’;d.body.appendChild(e);}if(typeof(window.__lookbook) === ‘object’) if(d.readyState === ‘complete’) {window.__lookbook.init();}}(document, ‘script’, ‘lookbook-script’);

Scenes From Our Weekend

Oct 3, 2016

Hello First Monday of October. We had some slightly cooler weather this weekend and it was pure magic.  October 1 Sterling insisted I pull out all our Halloween decorations so we spruced up the house this weekend including our front porch!  Halloween is his favorite holiday and my least favorite:)

I am obsessed with white pumpkins and had to travel to 4 stores before I found some!

Thursday night I hosted an event at Roberta Roller with these pretty ladies.

What I wore:

Blouse | Necklace | Jeans | Shoes | Purse | Sunglasses (on sale)

If you follow me on instastories you saw my parents and nephew were in town for the weekend.  We had a blast!  My mom treated all the kids to costumes and they were in heaven playing dress-up.  Not kidding Frances Moon wore her mermaid costume 3 days in a row.

We headed to dinner at Ellis Creek Fish Camp.  It is one of our favorite kid friendly spots.  You can’t beat the view.

What I wore:

Blouse (25% off) | Jeans on sale | Earrings | Sandals

The boys always have so much fun together and Frances just tags along.

Saturday I put my Dad to work around the house- I always do that when he is in town:)  We got Frances Moon’s bed assembled and I love it!  Side note next time I will just order a headboard instead of the whole bed.  So much easier just to hook up a headboard than install an entire bed.

Headboard (similar) | Fuzzy Pillows | Purple pillows are from Celadon Home

New artwork arrived too by the fabulous Marquin Designs.  You may remember she did the painting over my desk in the kitchen.  I love her work! I am going to hang this over Frances Moon’s dresser.

Matt took the kids to the beach Saturday while I was working with my parents and they had a blast.

Saturday night we went to Maybank Public House for dinner.  I had only been once and was glad we decided to go again.  It was kid friendly and the food was really good.  The truffled mac and cheese with bacon was heavenly as were the flatbreads.

How amazing does my Dad’s burger and truffle Parmesan fries look?  That’s a friend green tomato on top:)

What I wore:

Top | Necklace | Jeans | Purse | Shoes | Ring (on sale)

Oh and these shoes are the best.  They are so comfy, they also come in green and burgundy.  They run TTS.

Mom and I had a glass of this rose before dinner and it was really good!

My sweet nephew Finley.  He reminds me so much of my sister,  I just love his personality.

Sunday is always my meal prep day!  This week it’s Asian Kale Salad (I always double or triple the dressing)  for lunch.  This salad is addictive!!

The kids somehow talked me into going to the pet store.  We have been talking about getting another smaller dog for sometime now but I am just not ready so I compromised with a fish:)  They wanted every single Spongebob accessory we settled on the pineapple house.

Sterling named her Harper Rose.  He was so excited.  Let’s hope we don’t kill her.

Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Sep 6, 2016

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend!  Ours was extra long since they called off school Friday because of a hurricane threat.  Luckily no real damage here just lots of broken branches and leaves we had to clean up in our yard.

Big news we moved Frances to a big girl bed!  She has been asking me since our beach trip this summer for a big girl bed.  We are still waiting on her headboard and few other pieces for the room but her bed is in and she loves it.  This was the entire crew she insisted on sleeping with the first night.

Here is a peek at what it looks like now.  I will do a post soon and share everything when we arrange and get her headboard and other pieces in.

Loving this off shoulder top I blogged about last week.  It comes in about 7 color options and is under $50.  I wore it over the weekend.  Sizing wise it runs TTS, I am wearing a small.

Blouse | Earrings | Sunglasses | Jeans | Sandals

Loved having my parents in town all week!

This purse is my new obsession.  I love the color and shape.  Chips and dip for Friday happy hour.

Oh and the new Beauty Counter lipgloss color Fig is perfection.  It is not as dark as it looks, it goes on sheer and is a great shade for Fall!

Purse | lipgloss | Sunglasses

Also loving the BC Charcoal Mask.  It gets super tight while you wear it and then when you wash it off your skin feels amazing.  I also use it as a spot treatment for zits.  It helps dry them out and works great.  I dot it on the zits and sleep with it and then in the morning they are so much better.  This was my raging Friday night in bed by 9 with a book and my face mask:)

Since we stayed with my parents for the weekend, I loved sitting on their back deck enjoying my coffee every morning.  Such a gorgeous view.

Sterling loves my parents Maltese, Moonie.  I keep telling him one day we will get a small dog.

Saturday was a pool day!

My cover-up I have been raving about all Summer is now back in stock in all colors.  I have both the long and short version and love them both.  My cover-up, sunglasses and tote are all under $100 too.

Cover-up | Sunglasses | Tote

That afternoon I met my girlfriend for some wine and cheese and then we headed to dinner with my parents and the kids to try out a new restaurant on James Island.   I just love this tee shirt dress, it is so soft and easy to dress up or down!

Dress | Necklace | Purse | Sandals

Sunday was my mom’s birthday and if you follow my instastories then you saw I made her a cake to celebrate.  I made this Toffee Bundt Cake with Caramel Icing and it was so good!!  Mine does not look that pretty but I assure you it was delicious.

My Dad took us all out to dinner at The Grocery that night.

My mom and I shared several things: the oysters, butternut squash, chopped salad, and okra.  They were all incredible.  The Grocery is quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants, it never disappoints.  Even the kid’s meals were fantastic!

My brother and sister in law were in town for the night so they were able to join us which was really fun.

What I wore:

Dress also here| Sandals

I let Frances sleep in bed with me that night and we had the best time taking pics before bed:)

Monday I went fabric shopping for our chairs in the den and the cleaned house.  After 5 guys stayed there all weekend there was lots to clean:)   Then we let the kids play outside and caught a beautiful sunset last night.

Thanks to my Dad I found a new instagram account to follow called @thinkgrowprosper.  It has some really good inspiring quotes everyday.  I loved this one and so many more.

Have a great short week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Aug 1, 2016

I hope everyone had a good weekend!

I snapped this picture of Frances Moon Friday morning when I was trying to get ready.  She was ready to tackle Friday in her heels and lipstick, no pants needed:)

Friday my dad and I went car shopping and I bought a new car!  My current car was about 8 years old so I was so excited to get something new.  I went with the Honda Pilot and just love it.  I really wanted something with three rows and it has lots of space.  Of course we had to celebrate with champagne afterwards.

Dress | Necklaces | Purse | Sunglasses

Several people wanted to know about the fit of this dress.  It is loose and swingy.  Here is a full length view of it.  I am wearing a size small.

Had to include one picture of my new ride!

Saturday I made the most delicious veggie sandwich.  I had lots of comments on instagram wanting the recipe so here you go:

Use whole grain bread, then layer one slice with chive cream cheese and the other piece with sun dried tomato tapenade.  Then pile on veggies,  I used tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, avocado, red onion, and provolone cheese.

Another day in her bathing suit:) We have really enjoyed these Native shoes this Summer.   They are more light weight than the regular Natives, but they can still get wet and are easy to clean.

Natives – on sale in a few color options HERE

Saturday afternoon we went to a really fun crabbing party.  There was a crabbing contest to see who could catch the most crabs followed by a party with lots of great food and drinks.  The party was held at a gorgeous house on the water.  I could not get enough of the views.

We managed to snap a winning family photo.

This kid loves crabs.  Can you tell he is just a little excited to crack some open and eat them??

All the kids, they have been friends since they were babies.

Me and my girl Caycee.

Outfit Details

These cotton shorts are the best!  I bought two pairs last year in solid colors so when I saw the print version I was so excited.  They have an elastic waist so you just pull them on and they are so comfortable!

Blouse | Shorts | Sandals

The most gorgeous sunset and perfect end to our evening on the water.

Sunday we went to my parent’s pool to swim.

Stripes + Stripes and both are on sale.

Dress/cover-up | Necklace | Hat

Sunday night we had our neighbors over for dinner.  Matt was in a fishing tournament this weekend and he didn’t win but he did come home with lots of fresh fish, so we made fish tacos.

I made a yummy Mexican Salad to go with the tacos.

I honestly just made this salad up with what I had at home:

Arugula, 5 ears of corn boiled and shucked, diced cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, 1 jalapeno diced, 1/2 bell pepper diced, queso fresco crumbled.

The vinaigrette was just olive oil, garlic, lime juice, and red wine vinegar.

Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jul 5, 2016

Happy Tuesday y’all!  I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!  As I mentioned Friday we have been in Figure Eight for the weekend.  We are having such a great time here.

Friday morning Sterling finished his last day of nature camp.  This camp was so awesome we will be doing it again next year.  He was so excited everyday to tell me about all the cool stuff he saw and learned about.  We signed up through the Charleston Museum for any locals interested.

After camp we packed up and hit the road.

What I wore for the drive/first day.

Blouse (on sale) | Necklace | Shorts (40% off with code COOLSTYLE) | Purse

The kids were super excited to arrive and check out our house and amazing view for the week!

Several of you asked about Frances Moon’s blouse you can find it here and also in a dress version.

Our deck and view is pretty amazing.

We have been spending lots of time at the beach swimming and building lots of sand castles.

Hat (50% off) | Sunglasses | One Piece

Love that my sweet Sterling is such a Mama’s boy.

Sunglasses | Cover-up

Loving this off shoulder dress with straps.  It is cotton, has pockets and is so comfy!  I wore it for dinner one night over the weekend.

Dress | Necklaces

We have all spent lots of time cuddling with cousin Rutledge.

and cousin Maxton.

We celebrated my Dad’s birthday over the weekend.  So special we were all able to be together.

I wore my Mara Hoffman dress that is now on sale.

Dress also here | Necklaces

We always love the 4th of July in Figure Eight.  They do a fun parade and then have a party with jump castles, face painting, food and a band.  We were able to watch some of the parade from our front deck.

We left Rutledge at home with my parents and just took the older kids to the party.

Tee Shirt | Jean Shorts

The highlight for Sterling and Frances was the face painting station.

That night we grilled out and watched fireworks.  Wearing blue and white- just missing the red!

I am wearing a size one in this dress for reference.

Dress | Necklace

We couldn’t end the night without sparklers.

We love DD and Big Poppie.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jun 6, 2016

Thursday was our last official day of school so to celebrate we headed to the pool to meet my friend Ashley and her kids.  Sterling is finally learning how to swim on his own and I couldn’t be prouder!

A few Summer favorites that I have been using/wearing lately.  The kids are obsessed with the doughnut float (which took me forever to blow up).  I am wearing the cover-up I mentioned last week.  It is seriously so soft I sleep in it too sometimes, I am tempted to order another color!   Hayden Reis Beach Totes are the best because they have so many pockets to store things and they are super easy to wipe down and clean.  Sterling insisted we needed the skull and cross bone bag for this summer:)  I have to admit I kind of love it too.

Doughnut float + Cover-Up (also in long version) + Beach Tote + Sunglasses

I love this sweet picture of the kids.  Frances is always so enamoured with Sterling.

Saturday we had our first neighborhood parade and kid’s party. The older kid’s decorated their bikes and Sterling was so proud of his.

Frances was over all the heat at this point.  If you are looking for jean shorts I recently bought this Frame Denim pair I am wearing and I really like the fit and the fact that they are not quite as short as some other ones I have tried.

My Outfit:  Burnout Tee + Jean Shorts + Sunglasses

That afternoon we headed out with some good friends on their boat.   I made some finger sandwiches for the ride.  I always use the Peperidge Farms thin white bread for finger sandwiches.

BLT – Bibb Lettuce + Bacon + Tomato + Mayo + salt and pepper

Pimento Cheese – Pimento Cheese + Mayo

Cucumber– Mix 1 8oz softened cream cheese with 2-3 tablespoons chopped dill, juice from one lemon and salt and pepper + thinly sliced English cucumber

It was such a beautiful afternoon.  The kids helping to drive the boat ( well Frances was intent on eating her fruit roll up).

Two of my favorite girls, Lindsey and Erin.

Wine with a view.

Matt’s boufaunt was in full effect from all the wind.

Wearing: One Shoulder Suit  (also in white ) + Sunglasses

Sunday everyone slept in late post boat ride and I got up early and cooked banana pancakes and bacon to surprise the kids.  They always want pancakes! Sterling and Rodney were not so patiently waiting.

Sunday afternoon we stopped by the Spoletto event at Marion Square.  The kids of course wanted cotton candy.  It was bigger than their heads:0

There were so many cool art booths but we really fell in love with Mike Rocher’s Photographs.  Sterling really loved this one photo so we bought him a print of it for his bedroom that we are currently working on updating.

Ended the day with Shrimp + Succotash + Skillet Cobbler.

I did cherries and blueberries instead of peaches this time and it was delicious.  This is one of my favorite cobbler recipes because it is so easy and always tastes amazing.

I also wanted to share my tiered dress I showed Friday was just reduced and is now 40% off!!

Size down as it runs on the large side, I am wearing an XS. It also comes in hot pink, such a great versatile dress.

VC Dress

Here’s to a great week.

Scenes From Our Weekend

May 2, 2016

We had a fun filled weekend with my parents, sister and brother-in-law who came in town to visit.   My sister and brother in law were celebrating their anniversary so my parents came to help with the kids.  It is always chaos when the cousins get together but fun chaos!

Friday morning I stopped by Shop Buru’s pop-up shop at Leap Frog.  I always love when Morgan and her husband come to town!  It was a fun morning and I came home a new off shoulder blouse (yes, I have an addiction, the first step is admitting it right??)

What I wore:

My dress and earrings are on sale and if you use code TREAT you can save an additional 40% off both items.   This makes the dress only $14 and the earrings $23.

I am wearing a small in the dress for sizing reference.

Dress | Earrings | Sandals

That night we headed over to my parent’s condo to order pizza and have mojitos.  My brother in law makes the best mojitos- I posted his recipe HERE a few years ago.

Snuggling with my favorites.

My JCrew Off Shoulder Top arrived this week and that is what I wore Friday night.  I LOVE it, great fit.  Several of you asked about sizing and it runs TTS, I am wearing a size 4.

Blouse | Earrings | Jeans

Never a dull moment with these cuties.

Saturday my mom and I went shopping for some household things I needed.

I wore my blue stripe dress again, I wear it at least once a week.  Such a comfy dress.

Dress + Necklace + Purse

I fell in love with this coffee table at GDC Home.

Saturday night my sister and brother in law stayed downtown.  So the kids and I hung out with my parents and 2 nephews.  4 kids is no joke.  We were so busy and no time for any pictures!   We didn’t even eat dinner we were so tired trying to get everyone happy and ready for bed!

Sunday we ate breakfast with my parents and let the kids play.

I had to have one last snuggle with my sweet nephew Rutledge.

Then I ran errands.  This tank is the same style as the short sleeve gray tee I blogged about a few weeks ago.  I just love them.  I am wearing a size 1 for reference.

Oh and my jeans are currently 20% off!

Tee + Jeans + Flip Flops + Purse

For dinner we grilled out and I made another fabulous recipe from Gwennie’s cookbook.  The broccoli rabe and brussels sprouts salad.  It was so good,  kind of a spin on a Caesar salad.  I was unsure about the raw broccoli rabe but really loved it in this recipe.  Even Sterling loved it, which is always an added bonus!

Lastly, I want to share this necklace that is one of my most favorite gifts.  It is from my friend Karina’s shop Waffles and Honey.

You can customize your necklace with whatever initials or charms you choose.  It would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift- but order soon because May 4th is the shipping cut off for Mother’s Day.

Have a great start to your week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Apr 4, 2016

Happy first week of April!

This may be one of my favorite pictures of Frances I have taken. She looks so sweet and she takes that little dog with her everywhere!  I think we may have to get the kids a small dog one day, they love them.

Sushi from Sushi Guru while I am in Charlotte is always a must.  We had this to celebrate my sister’s birthday.  Our birthdays are exactly one week apart. I especially love their jalapeño roll.

This blouse was one of my favorite buys in Charlotte!

Tassel Blouse  | Purse | Ring | jeans

It also comes in a dress version that I am tempted to get!

Shark teeth hunting at the yacht club.

Sterling found quite a few.  He seriously has talent for finding sharks teeth.

Saturday we hit up the gym and grocery store since we had been gone all week.  I could not stop laughing about Frances getting down with the free samples.  She just wanted to lick all the cheese off.

Dress

Dreaming of vacation and hoping to pack a few of these for my trip to Dallas this weekend.

Bathing Suit (also here) | Earrings | Cover-Up | Hat | Fringe sandals | Tote

My sister gave me the cover-up pictured above for my Birthday and I love it.  It is so soft and under $100.  It comes in so many fun colors too.

Sunday we did brunch at The Variety Shop and then hit up Lowes for some plants to spruce up our patio. We love to stroll the marina after breakfast and look at the beautiful boats and scenery.  Sterling did have shoes he just kept taking them off- he is very hard headed:)

Outfit Details

I have been living in this stripe tank top and it has the cutest cross back.

Stripe Tank  (also in red stripe) | Jeans | Bracelets | Ring | Sandals | Tote

I was so excited because Lowes had some great cactus plants.  They are the one plant I can actually keep alive.  Plus I love the desert vibe.

Sunday night we grilled out and I made the most delicious salad.  I found the recipe in Chrissy Teigan’s cookbook Cravings and changed it slightly.   Adding the crispy prosciutto and arugula to a Caprese salad takes it to a whole new level!

Caprese Salad with Crispy Prosciutto

Sleep Stalking.  I am going to be sad when we move her to a big girl bed later this year- sniff, sniff.

Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Mar 14, 2016

I have such a love hate relationship with daylight savings time.  I love the extra hour at night but man I hate getting up while it is still dark out!  This weekend we were blessed with gorgeous weather again.  I have to say it makes me excited for Summer and the extra time outdoors.

Friday while the kids were in school, I hit up the outlets.  I never really find anything for myself there but I wanted to get the kids some pjs, underwear and socks.  Nothing too exciting.  Since I was already in North Charleston we decided to eat lunch at Basico.  I had only been here once before.  I ordered the Basico bowl with half chorizo half chicken and it was so delicious!

Friday night we did a sleepover with my friend Ashley and her girls.  We like to do this every few months.  Us ladies stay up and chat and the kids have so much fun!

I am wearing Rebecca Taylor Blouse,  it is sold out but this style is the same.

We enjoyed dirty martinis and ordered pizza and the kid’s watched Billy Madison.  Fun for everyone:)

Saturday morning we strolled the marina.  Sterling always loves looking at the boats.

and notice he and Effie insisted on trading shoes:)

Then we went to Park Cafe for breakfast. I dream about their avocado and creamy kale toast.

Wearing:  RT Blouse on sale (also here) | Jeans | Sunglasses | Flipflops

I love this picture of Sterling.  He can never have enough jelly.

Saturday afternoon the kids insisted they wanted to put on their bathing suits and get in the water.  There is a park near our house that has small beach area the kids love.  I put my feet in the water and it was COLD but it clearly didn’t phase them!

I am usually not one for matching outfits but I could not resist these leaf print swimsuits from The Beaufort Bonnet Company.

The kids said they wanted tacos for dinner that night so we switched things up from our usual and made fried flounder tacos with pineapple jalapeño relish. They were off the hook good.

Favorite outfit over the weekend.

The dress runs on the large side, I have an XS.

Joie Dress (on sale ) (also HERE on sale)| BR Sandals (use code BRCFIT for 40% off)| Holst and Lee Bracelets | RM Purse

Sunday on the way to church I snapped this picture of the kids.  Pretty much sums up their personalities.

I wore this gorgeous Hyla Dewitt Necklace to church. I have fun post coming next week featuring her jewelry and a discount code! The dress I am wearing is old but this one is very similar.

Sunday night we went to the Yacht Club for Happy Hour.  We were happy to have the extra hour of light!

Sterling was so excited about the dead fish bones he found and we promptly made him was his hands!  He did manage to find all these shark’s teeth which he was super pumped about.  and it slightly terrified me- haha!

Have an awesome week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Feb 8, 2016

We honestly didn’t do too much this weekend.  The weather was cold and rainy both Saturday and Sunday so we spent a lot of time indoors.

Friday night we had one of our neighbors over for happy hour.   I had forgotten how good Brad and Angelina’s wine Miraval was.  It is a little pricier than what I normally like to spend on a bottle but so good!

Friday morning I hit up TJmaxx and was thrilled when I found this Alexis Bittar ring on clearance for $20! I love when I find a good deal like that.

I also scored these baskets.  I had been looking for some large ones to store toys in.

Saturday I took the kids to get doughnuts before my gym class.  Calories don’t count on the weekend, right?  The kids were so excited about the Panther’s doughnuts.

I had to laugh because both Sterling and Frances wanted to wear workout clothes like mommy to the gym.  This is what they came up with.

Frances is bathing suit obsessed lately and wants to wear them on everyday.

This horse one is from the Gap, use code GAMEON for 40% off.

Saturday night Matt and I binge watched MadMen and cooked veggie hot dogs.  Several of you asked what brand veggie dogs we like.  We have tried two brands Smartdogs and Tofurkey Dogs and we much prefer the Smartdogs.  With veggie dogs you can’t grill them they fall apart, so you have to boil them. We actually really liked the Smartdogs and if you put enough toppings on you really don’t miss the meat.

Since Sunday was such a gross rainy day, I took the kids to see Kung Fu Panda 3.  I didn’t realize it was the 3D version til we got there.  Which was fine for Sterling but not Frances, she did not want to keep the glasses on.  Sterling is great at movies but Frances was a whole other story.  She was good and still for about 30 minutes and then she was all over the place.  Climbing stairs and chairs = not relaxing for Mom.  The movie however was really cute, I highly recommend it.

That night we went to a Super Bowl Party at our good friend’s house.  I made the Kettle Chip Crusted Poppers I mentioned last week.  They were really good.  I made a few changes to the recipe and left out cilantro , sometimes it is too powerful a taste for me and I used green onions instead of white.

Only picture we snapped. Matt is more excited than he looks and Frances clearly did not want us leaving.

Lastly Loft is offering 30% off all dresses, no code needed.   I love this stripe one I bought a few weeks ago.  The material is thicker which I like and not clingy at all.  I just ordered this one, love the colors.

Stripe Dress | T&T Necklace

Twine and Twig is also offering 25% off site wide with code BEMINE!

Have a fabulous Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jan 11, 2016

Hello second Monday of 2016!  We had a really nice low key weekend.  I have been on a mission to clean out and organize every corner of our house.  This past week and weekend I focused on our kitchen and dining room.  I filled up the entire back of my car with old pots and pans, dishes and silverware we never used and hauled it to Goodwill.  It was such a good feeling and now when I open our drawers and cabinets they are so organized and I love it!

Next up I am going to clean out everyone’s closets- I may do an instagram sale in the next week or two with clothes that I clean out.   My account there is @shopsnoopnattynat closet if you are interested in following.

I decided on some new silverware since our old silverware had been mysteriously disappearing. I am talking we were down to only 4 forks.  I have no idea what happened to it all.

I choose this gold set from Target and love it!! I honestly was surprised by the quality and it is so beautiful in person.  Such a great deal for the price.

I went for a run both days this weekend.  The cooler weather makes for such perfect running weather.

I thought this picture of the bridge covered in fog was so cool.

Snapped this picture of Sterling looking so grown up.  I love his style that is starting to emerge.

Frances Moon had her 2 year old check up this past week.  She is the size and height of a 3 year old.  Just like her Mama.  I was always big for my age:)

Speaking of Frances all she ever wants to sleep in and wear is her Paw Patrol night gown.  She is slightly obsessed.

Dreaming of warmer weather since it has been chilly here.  We are in the midst of booking our trip to the Caribbean again this Summer,  so resort wear is on my mind!

Lily Tunic | Mara One Piece | Tkees

A little sneak peak at our new couch that was delivered this week.  We are starting to re-do our den and the couch was the first step.  Stay tuned for a fun make-over.  We have a new rug on the way and hoping to replace the mirror with a large abstract painting.

Sunday we went to brunch at our favorite spot, The Variety shop.  I had the fried green tomato benedict and Matt had the shrimp hash browns.  They both were incredible.

The kids snuggled up with Daddy:)

I spent Sunday night on our new couch sipping rose watching the Golden Globes.  The tee shirt and leggings are my favorite lounge wear- Tomorrow I am planning a post featuring all my favorite loungewear! I am wearing a small in the leggings and tee shirt.

Oliver Tee | Spanx Leggings | Minnetonka Booties

Here is another view of the tee and leggings on.

Two things I am really loving this New Year are my Bon Appetit Food Lovers Cleanse Cookbook and my Emily Ley Planner.  The cookbook is filled with so many amazing healthy recipes and I love the layout of the planner!

I always love watching the red carpet more than the actual awards.   These 4 ladies were some of the best dressed in my opinion.  I think Jennifer Lawerence’s look was my favorite.

Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Nov 2, 2015

How is it November 2nd already??  I am already starting to get stressed out thinking about Thanksgiving which we host every year, Frances Moon’s Birthday, a fun get away we have planned and Christmas.  We have alot to pack into the next 2 months!

Friday I had a ladies lunch at Xao Bao Biscuit.  I can’t tell you how much I love their cabbage pancake.  I had a request to try and make it at home so in the next few weeks I will try it out and report back.

Friday night we went to a really fun Halloween party at the Yacht Club.

I tried to get get festive with black + white + rust.

This is the Loft Blouse I mentioned last week.  Mine arrived in the mail and I love it.  I am wearing size XS.

Dot Tunic | Jeans | Booties

It was so nice that Halloween fell on a Saturday this year.  We always go to our good friend’s house for a fun party and to trick or treat over there.  This will be our last year though because they are moving to our neighborhood- YAY!

Frances Moon was a cupcake. I had to basically bribe her to keep her costume on.

Sterling went as a great white shark.  He is shark and ocean obssessed these days.  That is his best friend Oliver as the dinosaur.

The crew minus Daddy who snapped the pics.

I love these pictures of Sterling and his friends.  They are sadly all at different schools this year but pick right back up when they get together!

I have to share these pictures of my nephews.   Finley went as James Bond and Maxton is a NC State Football player.  They both look so adorable!

Halloween Outfit Details

Blouse | Jeans | Candy Shop Necklace | My Gigi Tote I designed 🙂

I made one of my favorite and easiest dips for the party.

Loaded Potato Dip

Sunday I took the kids to church while Matt worked on staining our pergola. I always like to snap pictures after church because there are so many good locations downtown near our church.

We ended the weekend our favorite way with a golf card ride around the neighborhood.

and we made the best crab cakes!

Happy November and Happy Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Oct 5, 2015

I hope everyone is staying safe and dry.  I know Charleston and Columbia got hit hard by Joaquin.  Lots of flooding and power outages.  Praying for all those who experienced damage from the storm and I hope it clears up soon.

Thursday night I got out of the house just as all the rain started.  I attended the Artfully Inspired Dinner hosted by Bellacore and So Good.  The dinner featured 4 artists work : Teil Duncan, Dorothy Shain, Way Way Allen and Kate Long Stevenson.  Katie is one of my dearest friends so I was so happy to support her and see her gorgeous art.  I ended up sitting with Dorothy too who was such a doll and just so sweet.

The table setting was perfection and Dorothy actually designed the table cloth.

I would love to create something similar at home when we host Thanksgiving.

Each of the 4 courses were made to resemble the artist’s work. It was a really cool concept.

Katie’s gorgeous art.

You can see some of Dorothy’s work behind us.

I am wearing:

Mara Hoffman Dress | Vince Pumps (on sale)

Friday we spent most of the day indoors because the weather was so bad.

We did venture out for breakfast and Frances insisted on dressing herself.  She clearly loves leopard like her Mama.

The kids got stir crazy later on and Sterling wanted to dress up.  Gotta love that Frances is not scared at all.

Saturday the kids and I packed up and headed to Charlotte.

I found the funniest note from Sterling.  He clearly needs money:)

We had a birthday party Saturday night for a family friend and her son who turned one!

This blouse is my new obsession.  It is so soft and I love the length because you can wear it with jeans or leggings.

Wearing |  Free People Blouse (runs on the large side order down, I am in XS)

7 for Mankind Jeans | Harrow Booties

We couldn’t resist a cheesy pumpkin belly shot since my sister is pregnant.

All the kids.  Of course Frances insisted on showing off her belly. Sterling is holding James the birthday boy.

Sunday my mom and I took the kids to Disney on Ice.  They were in heaven and loved every minute especially the long Frozen part.

I wish Frances Moon’s outfit came in my size.

Several people asked about her mocs and they are from the ETSY site Stella and Mi.

I really like them because they have a hard sole on the bottom.

Wore this off Shoulder top out to dinner Sunday night.  It is such a steal at only $38!! It comes in 3 other colors but I always love this olive green color.

I am wearing size medium.

Be Kind.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Sep 14, 2015

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  The weather was amazing here this weekend.  Crisp and cool in the mornings and not too hot during the day.  It made me so excited for Fall.

Friday morning I witnessed the most beautiful scene.  Firefighters, police officers, and residents walking the bridge in honor of 9/11 victims.  It was so moving to see this 14 years later.  We will never forget that day.

Friday night we took it easy and grilled out.  We did Shrimp kabobs and I made Ina Garten’s Crispy Iceburg Salad.  The recipe is under my recipes tab.  The homemade dressing really makes the salad.  I love the crunch of the radishes and celery.  It is one of our favorite salads.

Saturday morning I headed out to the Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms with two girlfriends.  Sometimes when you are a local you forget about awesome spots in your own town.  I am trying to make more of an effort to explore local spots.

The interior of the resort was decorated perfectly.  I loved these lights.

The weather was overcast but we decided to eat lunch out at the Cabanas anyways.  It was not too hot and the Cabanas were covered so it was such a nice spot.  Living the good life lounging in our Cabana.

Rocking my new Jcrew Sunglasses

Sandals are 50% off in gold version

We ordered several different things from The Sea Island Grill to try off their menu and they all were awesome.  We had the lobster rolls, pimento cheese toasts and charcuterie board.  They were delicious and the presentation was gorgeous.

After lunch we all had massages.  The last time I had a massage was 2 years ago when I was hoping it would induce labor with Frances Moon.  Massages are such a treat.  It was the most relaxed I have been in forever.  I loved this cool rain wall in the spa.

Rows and rows of Oribe.  I love their products.

My favorites are the Texturizing Spray and Hair Masque

After our massages we headed back to our cabana for a glass of wine and afternoon snack.

Such a lovely time with these two!!

Saturday night I headed to Kiawah to spend the night with a few of my best friends.  I put my phone away and didn’t take one picture all night but we had a blast!  We ate at Jasmine Porch and had cocktails at the Sanctuary.  Such a dreamy spot.

Sunday I was so excited to see these cuties.

Breakfast at Bagel Nation has become a weekly thing for us.  We love that place.  Matt and I are hooked on the Denver Bagel.  Their homemade cream cheeses are all so good.  My favorites are the Veggie, Spanish Olive, and Jalapeno Cheddar.

I have to share this picture of Frances Moon with her baby doll.  She takes it everywhere, it is so sweet.

Have a great Monday!

Happy Monday.  I can’t believe this is our last week of Summer (insert sad face).  School starts a week from Monday.  I plan to enjoy lots of time with Sterling before he heads off to big boy school!

Friday night Matt and I went out for date night.  We ate at Cypress and it was so good.

Wearing Loft Dress + Stella and Dot Earrings

I had the encrusted tuna.  It is always my favorite dish to eat at Cypress.

This bottle of red wine was amazing.  Super smooth.

Saturday we did a family boat ride out to the Morris Island Lighthouse.  It Is just stunning out there.

Rodney had the best time on the boat and running around at the beach.  He was one happy dog.

I brought my new Hayden Reis Tote.  This tote is perfect for the beach or boat.  It is made out of sailcloth so it is super easy to clean.  Plus it is huge and has so many built-in compartments for storage.  There are several different pattern options but I loved the Palm Print.

Hayden Reis Palm Print Tote

The kids had a blast.

and this view, just spectacular.  I feel so lucky to be able to live in Charleston and that our kids will grow up with this amazing nature surrounding us.

Sunday we headed to church.Frances looks so big to me here, no longer a baby.

My artwork for the dining room arrived and I am so excited to hang it up after we get the walls painted.  I was so impressed with the quality and framing from Minted.

Fields Of Blue Art

Ended the weekend with some homemade Veggie Pizza.

Here’s to a great week.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jul 6, 2015

I am writing today’s post as I sit out on the deck and watch the ocean- pure bliss I tell you!  Friday we packed up and headed to Figure Eight.  We are here for a week on vacation with my family.

After a 4 hour drive (including a fender bender- someone backed into my car in the parking lot at Wendy’s) we were happy to arrive.  Last year we stayed on the sound side and this year we are ocean front which is so nice.  The view from our deck!

Frances was beyond excited.

She is all like AH YES, let vacation begin.

Frances Moon’s top

My outfit for the drive and first night.

T-Bags Blouse also in blue | Shorts | Gigi Tote (on sale)

We were lucky enough to see a rainbow our first night!  It was so beautiful.

Cousin Finley makes everyone happy.

The next day was 4th of July, the kids woke up super excited.

I stopped by the Dollar Store before our trip and loaded up on 4th of July accessories.

We watched a parade and then hit up a really fun party at the Figure Eight Yacht Club.

Then we hit up the beach!

Friday night we cooked out hamburgers and hot dogs.

Wearing: Soft Joie Dress | Necklaces from Empire State Finery

Obligatory 4th of July Family photo.

Fun with sparklers.

Sunday morning I went for the most beautiful run.  It is always nice to have a change of scenery.

Then we hit up the beach again.

If you need a beach tote you have to check out Barbara Cobb’s site.  This bag fits everything I need and it has pockets for your phone and sunscreen etc.  You design your own and can choose what fabrics you want and the monogram style.

Cover-up | Sunglasses | Tote | Flip-flops

The three amigos.

My sister had the genius idea to bring an inflatable pool.  That way we didn’t have to worry about the kids going too deep in the ocean plus it kept them occupied.  They loved it and so did the adults!

Wearing their Barbara Cobb hats🙂

Happy Hour Sunday. Of course Matt packed his “tuxedo”.  He wanted to dress up for my Dad’s birthday.

This dress + necklace have been on constant rotation.

Cousin Maxton arrived and my mom bought the kids the cutest matching tees.

Picture overload!  We are off to the beach again this morning.  Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jun 8, 2015

Dear Monday, you always sneak up way too fast.

Thank you for all the great book recommendations.  I just downloaded several of them and can’t wait to start reading them.  I love a good book.

We kicked off the weekend with Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, since Friday was national doughnut day.

Frances went to town with hers.

Followed by a some time at the park, to burn off the sugar high.

We met the nicest police officer who let Sterling get in his car and work his lights and sirens.

It made his day, he was so excited.

Chilling with Sterling.

Sunglasses

Friday night we headed out for date night.

Trying to talk Matt into a picture- as you may notice he does not like to be photographed.

Ended up with this cheeseball smile.

Wearing | Topshop Dress | TB Flats

We tried out Screen Door, a new restaurant on James Island.  The food was really good as was our server.  The delivery of the food was a bit slow and oddly spaced we got our meals before our appetizers, but they were so apologetic and comped our apps.  They apparently have two kitchens and are working on syncing them up.  As far as food we had the egg pizza, the pork pizza, cheeseburger, hanger steak, ricotta app and wings.  Everything was delicious.  I will 100% be back, plus the atmosphere was cool.

Below is the egg pizza which i ordered for my meal, I devoured the entire thing.  Don’t be scared off by the anchovies on it, they give it great flavor.

Saturday morning I got up bright and early to run.  I have almost reached my goal of 4 miles I made it 3.8 miles.

Threw on my favorite tee again.  The pink is my new jam.

Free People Tee | Necklace is Theodosia

Enjoyed the best Shrimp po boy from The Glass Onion for lunch.

One of my oldest and dearest friends stopped through town and we were able to catch up.  Nothing better than picking right up with old friends. Lauren and I lived together in college and I miss her so much now that she is in California.  We don’t get to see each other often so it is extra special when we do.

Sunday was low key.  We went to a family breakfast at Bagel Nation and grocery shopping.  Then we hit up the pool!

I had several request about my swim suit.  I bought this 4 years ago after I had Sterling and I still love it!  The fit is great, and I always love rouching for disguising belly flab.

Twist Front One Piece

also on sale in blue

Sunglasses

Frances loves the water, actually is scary because she has no fear and will just walk right in.

Looking adorable in her flamingo suit- I found this at the Gap Outlet.

Today the Gigi New York Friends and Family Sale starts! Use code Friends15 to get 15% off the site!

I own several Gigi Purses and love them all.  Fantastic quality and love their color selection too. A few of my favorites.

Scenes From Our Weekend

May 4, 2015

We had such a lovely weekend.

Friday I was able to chaperone a field trip with Sterling’s school.  It is always so special to have one on one time with him.  We took the kids to Jeremiah Goat Farm out on John’s Island and it was so cool. I think I may have enjoyed it more then Sterling.  We got to see their garden and taste all kinds of vegetables and herbs they grew.  We also got to see some goats and feed the baby ones.

Tee Shirt | Jeans similar | Purse

Came home to this sweet girl trying to eat toothpaste.

She wants to carry her toothbrush and toothpaste everywhere.

Several of you asked about the sandals Frances was wearing.  They are Salt Waters and such great sandals.  I put Sterling in them too when he was little.  They have a hard sole and are great for new walkers.

Salt Water Sandals

Friday night we had Happy with my sister and her husband who were in town for the weekend.

I am totally obsessed with watermelon radishes, they are so pretty and tasty too:)

 Busted out my new runner.

We took the kids to the Yacht Club to let them run around.  We didn’t last long because it was so windy.

Saturday we took the kids to the Farmers Market.  On the way we stopped at Glazed.  They have the best doughnuts in town.  The girl working there talked me into trying the beet stuffed doughnut.  I know it sounds weird but it was so good.  The maple bacon is always a favorite and Sterling loves the fresh raspberry one.

Best picture we could get at the Farmers Market.  It was such a gorgeous day out.

Sterling has to ride the pony every time we go!

Wore this outfit both days this weekend.  When I find something I love I live in it.  The blouse is now on sale.

Blouse | Shorts | Shoes

Saturday night we kept my nephew while my sister and husband stayed downtown for their anniversary.  The kids had so much fun together.  I love how close they are.  Taking care of three kids was hard though! No rest for the weary.

Had a fun brunch with the whole crew.

Wearing my new sunglasses, that I love!  Mine are the blush color but they also come in 2 other colors.

Frances was laughing so hard at Finley dancing.

Romper (white version on sale) | Shoes

Made one of my all time favorite side dishes for dinner Sunday.  Peas and Pancetta from my girl Ina.

Have a great Monday.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Apr 13, 2015

I can’t believe it is Monday already and almost halfway thru April!  This year seems to be flying by.

I started off the weekend Friday with a fun ladies lunch. We ate at Tavern and Table which is a new favorite restaurant of mine.  The interiors are gorgeous and it is right on the water.  We were able to get a table outside which was so nice.   If you go there you must try the kale salad.  It is amazing. I am still thinking about it and how to recreate it at home.

This past week and weekend were great because I could finally wear shorts.  Loving the warmer temps.  These white shorts are the same brand as the white jeans I wore last week.  They are a great fit if you are looking for white shorts.

Blouse | Shorts | Sandals

At lunch I could tell Frances just wasn’t acting like herself so afterwards I took her to the doctor and I am glad I did.  Sweet girl had an ear infection, hives, and pink eye.  Always best to trust your gut.  She had no fever or other symptoms but just didn’t seem like herself.  For all you moms the hives look very similar to bug bites, hard to tell the difference, except she seemed really uncomfortable.  She was still smiling even at the doctor:)

Friday we did our usual thing and ordered pizza and played games with Sterling.  We call it our game night.  I enjoyed some amazing Rose.  My next door neighbor works part time at wine store and introduced me to it.  It is a perfect rose, dry, smooth and not sweet.

Saturday morning I took Sterling to Hyams, it is my favorite garden store to browse.  He loves it too because of the fish pond at the back.  They have some gorgeous plants and everyone is so helpful there.

We planted our Earthboxes and some other flowers.  I will report back on the Earthboxes and how well the plants grow.  It seems like a cool system though.

My Micheal Kors embroderied shift arrived and I love it!  This dress would be great for church, wedding,  or party.  It is now 40% off.

MK Embellished Dress

Enjoyed the most delicious burger.  Matt cooks the most amazing burgers.  The key is good meat (80/20 is best) and simplicity no extra seasoning but salt and pepper.

Sunday we enjoyed another great meal, whole wheat banana panckes and bacon.  Miss Frances was all about the bacon.

I finally have got back into running.  I go through phases not working out but now I am back in the zone.  I ran three times this week and my goal is to get back to 4 runs a week.  It helps me so much mentally to get that workout in and have some alone time.

These are a few songs on my current playlist.  Sometimes I just listen to Sugar on repeat, Adam makes me want to run.

Sunday night we cooked Shrimp Nachos.  Can you tell this weekend was all about cooking good food at home??  It was nice to have a low key weekend with no plans.

Hope you have a great start to your week.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Mar 9, 2015

Did the time change mess everyone up yesterday??  I swear the day yesterday flew by!  But I have to admit I do love it staying light later.  This morning however was hard to get out of bed!

I tried  a new to me restaurant for lunch this week, The Americano in Mt Pleasant.  The exterior and interior designs are so cool.  The food was awesome. I had the fried oyster taco, ground beef taco and the chopped salad.  So good, I will be back!

My friend Krystine snapped this picture of me and Frances Moon outside the restaurant, the grass wall was so neat.  Perfect back drop for a picture!

Top (same style different color) | Sunglasses | Jeans | Leopard Flats | Purse

I took this picture Thursday night before the weather turned frigid Friday.  You can almost see the cold rolling in with the dark clouds.  Sterling loves to walk to the end of our street and watch the water.

We spent most of Friday indoors since it was so cold.  I worked on cleaning out and organizing closets.  I found this old dress of mine and had to try it on Frances.  I love that my mom saved so many of our things.

My dad made the most delicious martinis for happy hour Friday night.  It is vodka + Charred Grapefruit Bitters and a splash of soda.

Wearing my cheapie F21 Blouse.

Saturday morning I took the kids to Chick Fila and Barnes and Nobles to pick out some new books. It makes me so happy that my kids love books as much as I do:)

Saturday night we had a couples date night with 6 other couples.

Outfit Details:

Bucket Tote | Floral Blouse (on sale) | Jeans | Pumps | Spike Bracelet | Diamond Bracelet | Earrings

We went to a hibachi grill and I have to say it was the most fun.  I had not had hibachi probably since college.  We had a blast!

I did the veggies meal and it was actually delicious.

We definitely had a little too much fun!

Made some delicious juice Sunday morning.

Blood Oranges + Carrots + Ginger.

Sunday the weather was just gorgeous.  We took the kids on a long walk and enjoyed some much needed time in the sun.  Sterling actually took this picture of us, he is getting good with my phone!

Happy Monday!  Since yesterday was International Women’s Day I thought I would share this amazing quote.  Thankful for so many strong women in my life and hope Frances grows up the same way surrounded by confident and strong women.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Feb 23, 2015

Happy Monday Ya’ll!  Did everyone have a great weekend??  After having family in town last weekend and prepping for Sterling’s birthday party we decided to have a low key weekend this weekend.  Did some work around the house and finally enjoyed some warmer weather on Sunday!

Friday afternoon I had a doctors appointment in Mt Pleasant, afterwards I stopped in the Square Onion to grab lunch and could not resist this Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Brownie.  It was insane.  I will be back for more.

Friday night I went out with some girl friends.  We were going to try the wine bar in Avondale but it was packed so we hit up Roost and Oak Barrel instead.

Wore my Joie Blouse (on sale) paired with my new tassel necklace.  Ladies this necklace is only $22 and so cute in person!

Blouse | Necklace | Jeans

Had a blast with these girls drinking wine and eating sushi.

New favorite Breakfast ||

Whipped Cream Cheese layered on whole grain toast topped with avocado wrapped with prosciutto.  You bake the avocado and prosciutto first so it gets crispy then layer on the toast.  So amazing.

Saturday I worked around the house, styling and filling my new glass cabinet in the kitchen.  I also hung my new painting from Marquin Designs.  Such a talented artist, you can check out her whole Site HERE.  I just love my painting, the colors are even more gorgeous in person.

Matt had to work all day so I took the kids to the park.

Sterling was dying to go to McDonalds because the happy meals have Spongebob characters in them.

So we ht up McDonalds post park.

I can’t ever resist McDonalds fries even though I know how bad they are for me- I did resist a burger though and just stuck with my fries and coke.

My goodies I ordered from Old Navy arrived and I must say they were even better in person.

The bikini reminded me so much of Mara Hoffman and the shoes for Frances, no words- just adorable.

Bikini Top | Bikini Bottoms | Gladiator Shoes

Saturday night we made Crock Pot Chicken Cheesesteaks.  They were so easy and super delicious.  I found the recipe HERE

Sunday I went on a much needed run.  I have really only been running on the weekends lately so I look forward to that alone time plus the weather was amazing!

My favorite running shoes.

Frances Moon and I accidentally dressed alike in our blue and white outfits.  But seriously how cute is her dress??

Ended Sunday with the Oscars.

Two of my favorite best dressed were Marot Robbie (I think she is so gorgeous) and Naomi Watts.

I am so glad Julienne Moore won for Still Alice, I have yet to see the movie but the book really moved me and stuck with me.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jan 26, 2015

My sister came to visit this weekend, and we always have so much fun together. I so wish we lived in the same city.

I started off the weekend with a fun girls night out on Thursday.  We went out for Mexican and enjoyed lots of chips, margaritas and girl talk.  My girl nights help keep me sane!

I snapped this picture of Matt with the kids before I left, they were so happy to see their Daddy.

This week Frances finally started taking a few steps on her own.  More like a drunken wobble but still so proud of her walking on her own.

Always love having cousin Finley in town.  We did some bath time Mohawks for the kids.

Bathing three kids however was not relaxing!

Saturday we took the kids and went to Lunch at Lee Lee’s Hot Kitchen.  My sister had never been so I wanted her to try it!  The brussels sprouts there are so good and we of course had to have a fun cocktail.  We also had the ginger beef and pork noodles.

This blouse from Finicky Filly has become one of my favorites.

25% off with code MUSTHAVE here

Getting crazy with the kids.

I made pancakes both Saturday and Sunday. Sterling is pancake obsessed.  Little tip I buy a box of the whole wheat pancake mix and add in mashed bananas or blueberries.  It is so easy and so good.

Spent Sunday morning cuddled with the kids.  They both love to be held and cuddled in the morning and I just want to savor these moments.

Sunday we ate lunch at Rolling South, right near our house.  It was pretty darn tasty- I definitively overindulged in the food department this weekend, time for a fresh start today!

Nordstrom is running their special on Clinque, if you spend $32 you get a free gift.   I don’t use many Clinque products but I do love this Moisture Surge Cream.  I alternate between it and my La Mer.  It really hydrates your skin and feels so smooth.

Til tonight you can take 25% off at Piperlime.

Use code MUSTHAVE.

My top pick is these shoes and of course my size is gone. Someone else snag them with the dicsount!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Dec 8, 2014

I am starting to feel slightly stressed out that Christmas is right around the corner and I have yet to wrap one gift or finish my Christmas shopping.   I am kicking it into high gear this week.

We actually had a fairly busy weekend this weekend.

This year I have been trying to get more creative with Sparkles our Elf.  Now I am not nearly as creative as most people but I was proud of this scene I set up Friday night.  I found this adorable Melissa and Doug Nativity Set so after Sterling fell asleep I snuck in his room and set it up with Sparkles.  He woke and screamed Mommy The Elf brought me a baby Jesus set.  He was so excited and I thought it was a nice way to try and incorporate the real meaning of Christmas.  The nativity set is great because it is wooden, he and Frances played with it most of Saturday setting it up and rearranging the figures.

Saturday Matt worked most of the day so I decided to take the kids to see Santa at WonderWorks.

This was the face Frances made when I told her were going to see Santa- not a fan.

and can we discuss her outfit- it is all Old Navy!  They have had the cutest stuff lately!

Vest | Dress

I also snagged this poncho at Old Navy as well.  It is so stinking cute.

|| Poncho

As I expected Frances did not like Santa and I don’t blame her.  This Santa was kind of lame,  I really prefer the ones with the real beards.  Even Sterling kept asking him if he was the real Santa.  I do love a crying Santa picture though.

After our visit with Santa I got brave and took the kids to lunch solo.  We ate at LaTabella and it was delicious.  I shared the Bang Bang Shrimp with Sterling and had the chopped salad as well.

Then we hit up the park.

I came home to the loveliest package from L’Occitane.  I am obsessed with their hand and body creams.

Hand Cream | Body Cream

This box would make such a beautiful gift for someone.  It is filled with all the best selling L’Occitane items and is currently on sale!  A great way to try out some of their items if you have not before.

|| Best of L’Occitane

Saturday night I helped host the Pink Chicken Store Opening and did not take one photo!  But you must check out the store its awesome!  Then we met some friends for drinks at Coast and headed to Caycee’s 30th Birthday party.

Wearing: Clover Canyon Dress | Claire V Clutch

We had such a fun night dancing at Trio.

I love Amy photo bombing our picture!

Sunday was a struggle not gonna lie.  This Momma can not hang like I used too.  Thank goodness for real coke, it always helps.

I finally got around to hanging my Michelle Armas from One Kings Lane.

|| Dark and Stormy

Ended the weekend with some comfort food.  I made a homemade chicken pot pie and it was divine.  The recipe is under my recipes tab- this time I used pie crust instead of puff pastry.

Lastly one of my friends in Charlotte just published the cutest children’s book.  If you live in Charlotte and have kids this book is a must!  Such a fun tour of the city.  Would be a great Christmas Gift.  You can order your copy HERE and use code CRICKETSHIPPING for free shipping!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Nov 3, 2014

I can’t believe is November already.  I can feel myself starting to get stressed out thinking about planning Thanksgiving which we host every year, Frances Moon’s birthday party which is two days after Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping.  I have mucho to do in these next few weeks.

We had a fantastic weekend.  It was cold in Charleston, like really cold Saturday but I loved it!!

It was fun that Halloween fell on a Friday this year.  We always go over to our good friends house and trick or treat over there.  They close down the streets and have a big carnival.  Its such a fun tradition.  The kids had a blast.

While I was in Charlotte I bought a new piece of furniture for our dining room. I found the piece at a Consignment Store called Clearing House, if you live in Charlotte check it out they get some awesome pieces in.   I had so much fun styling it, although I think it still needs some tweaking.

I also found a new light for my dining room at Lowes of all places.  It was more the sputnik look I was going for.

This is so typical I buy something then find something I like better.  But I have a solution the West Elm light will go in Sterling’s room,  his light fixture is so old and dim so the light will look great in there.  Hoping to have them both installed this week with pictures to come.

I tried out two recipes out of the new Barefoot Contessa Cookbook, Make It Ahead.  The cookbook is a real winner, I highly recommend it.  Both recipes were amazing and easy, I will be making them again.

Parmesan Kale Chips | Peas With Pancetta

My Rag and Bone Hunter boots arrived and I have to say I love them.  I wore them Saturday,  they were perfect for the yucky weather.  They are still on sale with a few sizes left.

Hunter Rainboots  (also in Burgunday on sale)

Took some hilarious pics of the kids.

Our new gas station blankets came in handy this weekend with all the cold weather.  They washed and dried perfectly.

Basically wore the same outfit all weekend. Gotta love lululemon- cute even when you are not working out!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Oct 6, 2014

Let me start by saying we had the best weather this weekend.  It was sunny and the air was crisp- it was just perfect!!

Since October 1st marked the beginning of breast cancer awareness month,  I have been sure to wear my pink.

Did you know:

-In the U.S., 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

-Every 19 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with breast cancer.
-Every 15 minutes, a woman dies of breast cancer in the U.S.
-When breast cancer is detected early in the localized stage, the 5 year survival rate is over 95%.
-It
has been estimated that if every woman over the age of 50 had her
yearly mammogram, breast cancer deaths in this age group would drop by
25% or more.

Scary facts but we can all work together to fight this disease.  Tieks wants to join in the battle and help spread awareness.

I love the ballerina pink Tieks that they were kind enough to send me.  They are the perfect shade of pink and so comfortable.  Tieks are my go to flats, I always love their color selection.

|| Ballerina Pink Tieks

I enjoyed the most delicious grilled Cobb salad from Butcher and Bee.  I want to try and grill my lettuce now too.

I finally got around to organizing my photos and putting them in albums.  I had a stack of photos sitting out for a good month that needed to be put away.  I came across this picture of Sterling at 10 months around the same age as Frances now and it was crazy to me how much they look alike.  Little twins.

If you are size nine go to TJMaxx in Mt Pleasant and buy these Vince shoes.  I really wanted them but they just weren’t practical for me but I sure do love them.

Sterling had another soccer game on Saturday and had his pictures taken before.  I am dying over how cute these are.

I went and looked at fridges for our kitchen and I think I narrowed it
down to this Samsung one. I have never bought a Samsung appliance though
curious if anyone has?

I can’t wait to have a double door fridge with extra space.

Frances figured out where our snack drawer was and was so proud of herself.

I stopped by the 20th Birthday celebration at Celadon Home.  Champagne and home shopping is always fun.  I want to find a spot for that killer purple rug.

Enjoyed happy hour with my parents since they were in town visiting.

Whipped up a delicious spread paired with an excellent Hess wine my mom brought.

I got my latest wine club shipment on Saturday.  I love Wine Awesomness and highly recommend it.  I do the three bottle mixed pack each month but there is a 6 bottle option as well.  You can do all white, all red, or mixed.  I always love the wines and they are usually ones I have never tried before.  You can sign up Here to get 30% off your first order.

Found these two in bed together Sunday morning just giggling. It was the sweetest thing ever.

New snack obsession.

Lastly, I am teaming up with a wonderful group of ladies for a Fall giveaway. I don’t do giveaways often but this is an awesome one with $500 cash and some other great goodies (I love the plaid scarf)!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Sep 8, 2014

This weekend was one for the books.  Let’s start with how it ended on Sunday.

Our ceiling literally fell out.  So the weird thing is Matt and I were watching TV Saturday night and I said that’s weird, what is that line in the ceiling?  He said oh its been there no big deal.  We get up Sunday morning and Sterling goes Mom the ceiling is about to fall.  I walk in and it looks worse than the night before,  still had no idea it would bust through.  Matt got up and looks at and said we need to move the couch Stat and put a sheet down.  Literally 5 seconds after everyone gets off the couch and we move it the ceiling collapses.  You don’t understand how lucky we are that no one got hurt and was underneath when it collapsed.  God was watching over us and I am so thankful.  The stuff that fell out was disgusting, not fun to clean up.  We think the AC unit had maybe been leaking- something had been causing water to build up and the ceiling was just saturated.  So today I call Homeowners Insurance and pray they cover it!

Friday, I decided to invite a few friends to the Yacht Club for Happy Hour and let the kids play, it was a great idea.  We got to watch a beautiful storm roll in.

Sterling practiced his prom pose with a younger lady, if this isn’t foreshadowing I don’t know what is.

I adore this picture it is so cute.

Wore this gorgeous Mara Hoffman Dress from Mosaic Clothing twice since Wednesday.  Such a great maxi and so comfy- it would be a great maternity dress because it is so loose.  I will be wearing this thru fall, I can’t wait to pair it with my Vince Leather jacket once it cools off.

|| Mara Hoffman Snake Maxi

I made a big batch of Gwyneth Paltrow’s Carrot Ginger Dressing from her cookbook It’s All Good.  If you have her cookbook you must make this it was delicious.  I made up my own chopped salad to serve it with.  You can also find the dressing recipe Here

Saturday night we did a boat ride before bed and it was lovely.  We saw like 6 dolphins, Sterling was so excited.

We saw the most beautiful sunset.  It reminded me of how good God is.

Enjoyed some time in my new Plum Pretty Sugar Robe trying to tackle all my September magazines.  Why do they make the September issues so thick???  Either way I love reading for all the Fall inspiration.

|| Plum Pretty Sugar Robe

If you need a new robe, I just adore mine.  They are the softest most comfortable robes.  Also in a long version Here

Snapped this precious picture while Frances Moon was supposed to be napping was dancing instead.  She is such a doll.  I ordered the Blabla pillow over the Labor Day sale and we just love it.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Aug 4, 2014

I can not believe it is August already!!  Sterling doesn’t start school til after labor so we still have about 4 weeks of Summer left but, man this Summer flew by!!  I headed to Charlotte on Thursday to visit my parents and pick up Sterling who had been there since Sunday. I missed that sweet boy so much!

My mom took Sterling to do some back to school shopping and got him the camo pants he is wearing, they are so cute!  On sale with 40% off right now!

\ Crewcuts Camo Pants

My favorite thing to do while I am in Charlotte is to hit up Southpark Mall.  I think because Charleston doesn’t have a great mall, I love walking around Southpark and browsing.  Sterling loves to go to the fountain every time and throw pennies in and make a wish.

I am wearing:

Equipment Blouse Rag and Bone Shorts (on sale )

While I was home we pulled out some old pictures for kicks.  I have always thought Frances Moon looked more like Matt than me, but my parents said they thought she looked a lot like me. We compared these two pictures and I do see some similarities.

I always love happy hour at my parents because my Dad makes the best martini ever.  He makes homemade blue cheese stuffed olives.  They are insanely good!

Saturday morning my sister brought us all Krispy Kreme doughnuts.  We decided to give Frances Moon one and her face was priceless.  She loved the doughnut of course.  My girl loves to dominate some food.

I always love when Frances and Finley can hang out. It is so special to have cousins so close in age.  They are 9 months apart, I remember I found out I was pregnant right before she delivered Finley.

I wore my new JCrew blouse three days in a row.  Don’t judge just buy yourself one while they are such a good deal!  They come in two other colors too.  Use code DEPTOFSALE to get additional off.

\ JCrew PomPom Blouse

We hosted a baby shower for our dear family friend Lauren on Saturday.

My sister is wearing my Equipment Leopard Dress (on sale) and I am in BCBG Dress from Mosaic Clothing.

Lauren decided not to find out what they are having and I love this idea of filling plastic champagne glasses with pink and blue M&M’S topped with mini cupcakes.

All of the hosts plus the adorable Mom to be!

I worked a little more on our screen porch makeover and assembled our Ikea Shelves.  I could have sworn I bought the double shelves but either I was wrong or Ikea gave me the wrong the box.  I may head back next time I am in Charlotte and get another row to add on top.  The porch is coming together slowly, next up we need to hang our new fan, install a glass door, and find a rug.

Sunday we got back in town and we were so excited to see Matt. We decided to grill out.  Matt did filets and I did a wedge salad- recipe coming soon.

Here’s to a great week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jul 14, 2014

I feel like this Summer is flying by!!  I can not believe it is mid July already!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Friday morning I started off with a run.  I have really gotten into my early morning runs.  I relish the alone time and I get to see some gorgeous sunrises.  I love our neighborhood we are a block from the water and it is just so pretty.  I have started taking pictures of each sunrise they are so stunning.

I still have yet to lose my last 5lbs pounds of baby weight (le sigh) but I do feel like I am getting toned with my runs.

Friday afternoon I hosted playgroup at our house.  Normally we have a glass of wine but I decided to try out the mini Sofia champagne cans.  They were a hit, I will most definitely buy them again.  It was so fun to drink out of the can with a bendy straw.  I made two new dips- black bean hummus and a cucumber dip that were awesome, I will share the recipes soon.

We spent some time on our newly tiled porch while Matt grilled Friday night.  We are loving our Ikea chairs.

I have to admit I am not a big steak person.  I eat plenty of red meat I just don’t love or crave steaks.  Matt however changed my mind this weekend when he cooked the most ridiculously good filet.  It was amazing.

We took the kids to the pool Saturday.  I am loving my Mara Hoffman swimsuit.  It is the perfect one piece.

//Mara Hoffman One Piece (on sale)

This picture was from the day before but how hilarious is Frances Moon’s face?  I could not stop laughing.

I scored the cutest shoes from the Outlets for only $15!! I was surprised by the quality of the leather and the are comfortable.

Available here in gold.

Got the cutest dress for Frances Moon from Progeny Shop !! She clearly loves it:)

// Mexicana Dress

I spray painted my concrete fish I found on the side of the road.  I am getting addicted to spray painting things.

After the kids went to bed Saturday we went out to try and see the New Moon, it was so bright and big.

Sunday I did some organizing.  My jewelry drawer was getting out of control I could hardily open it.  I clearly have a jewelry hoarding problem but now I can at least see everything!

Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jun 16, 2014

Monday again?  The weekends just fly by don’t they??

A few happenings around here:

I found a new favorite breakfast.  Whole grain bread toasted with PB or Almond Butter and fresh strawberries, it is so good!

A few weeks ago I won a contest on Sara’s blog for the most precious dolls called Sophie and Lill.  They arrived Friday and are even more adorable in person.  The company was sweet enough to send Sterling a shark doll too, that is pretty awesome- it comes with tattoos and it was a huge hit!  Shop dolls Here.

The dolls are so cool because on one side they are a mermaid, angel, and princess but flip them and they are ready for bed.

Sterling of course insisted on sleeping with them all.  He likes a crew at bedtime.

Saturday I finally got back to the Farmers Market, I had not been since it opened this year.  Matt usually works on Saturdays so it is special tradition for me and Sterling and now Frances.  I had a delish green juice and egg taco from Ban Bahn Mi.

Saturday night we stayed out at Isle of Palms with some of our friends who have a house.  Things got a bit rowdy but we had the best time.  Sometimes a kid free night is just what you need.  We ate lots of fried seafood, played many card games, and had a dance party.

Sunday was Father’s day and I hate I didn’t get to spend it with my dad but I did get to spend it with Matt and my Father in law. We went to church and the sermon was just awesome about being a good parent and instilling the right values in your children.  It was an important reminder that I need to volunteer more and help others.  Since having children that aspect of my life has been on the back burner.  I used to volunteer every week.  It made me realize I need to start back and include Sterling because he is old enough now to gain so much from helping others.   I made a goal once a month to take him and help out somewhere.  Whether it is donating something or  just our time it doesn’t matter but I want him to see how important it is to help others.  This month we are going to do the Ronald McDonald house, any Charleston friends with ideas of where to volunteer would be so appreciated.

Matt got lots of love on Father’s Day.  We all sure do love him.  Once you have two kids you really need the other parents help and Matt has been amazing with both kids.

Later that day we went to a birthday party for one of Sterling’s friends. It was a pool party and Sterling had a blast.

I wore a one piece because when dealing with kids I just find it easier.  I have kind of been Mara Hoffman obsessed lately.  This one piece is on sale and has a killer back.  Love mine.  It also has a strap if you need more support and don’t want it strapless.

Back to reality back to Monday.

Scenes From Our Weekend

May 19, 2014

I can’t believe this is the last week of school for Sterling and then Summer starts! I am excited though, I love the Summer and having no real schedule.

This week I found the most gorgeous peonies at Harris Teeter.  I don’t buy fresh flowers often but I just adore peonies and they were on sale, so they came home with me.  They make me happy everytime I walk by them!

Friday night we took the kids to the Yacht Club to play while we enjoyed happy hour.  The views are just picture perfect there.

Sterling met a lady friend and they were being so sweet together.

We caught a beautiful sunset.

I am still taking pictures of Miss Frances while she sleeps for my book.  This is the latest one.

Gap Romper is old but similar here, here and here

Saturday night we had 3 of our favorite couples over for dinner.  We enjoyed tequila and our braised beef tacos.  I made a new salad recipe coming to blog Wednesday and if you have never tried Blue Head tequila you must!  It is our new favorite tequila, super smooth.

I wore Joie Divitri Blouse + Rag and Bone Jean Shorts + Theodosia Necklace

I am wearing a small in the blouse for those curious about sizing.

Of course I had to get a picture with the kids too.

and a view of my Joie Gladiator shoes– they are basically sold out but I love this style too.  They run on the small side so order up a half size.

The kids had a blast.

and us adults had a little too much fun!

I love how each morning Sterling climbs in the crib with Frances, it is so sweet.

Sunday we went to church and strolled around DT afterwards.  This picture makes me realize just how big Sterling is getting!

I wore my Equipment Leopard Dress (also in hot pink)  again, it is such a great versatile dress.

Have a happy Monday and a great start to your week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Apr 21, 2014

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Weekend.  The weather here was kind of crappy but we still had a nice weekend.  I am super ready for some warmer temps and sunny days!  I have a feeling we are going to have a really hot summer.

Friday night we got brave and took the kids to meet one of Matt’s old co workers for Happy Hour at Taco Boy.  Apparently we were not the only people with the idea to get there at 5:30, it was a zoo and the kids did not cooperate at all. Lesson learned to stick to happy hour at home.  This was us before we headed out.  Should have know by Sterling’s face he would be full of himself!

(I am wearing an Equipment Python Blouse on sale at Saks plus 25% off with code FRNFAM, in the button up version HERE.)

Saturday we had the most delicious breakfast, thanks to one of my blog readers.  She owns RoRo’s Baking Co and was sweet enough to send us some cinnamon rolls and when I say they are the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had I am for real.  They were amazing.  Filled to the brim with cinnamon and icing!  She said it is her grandmothers recipe.  They don’t carry them in stores here yet but hopefully soon!  You can order online here!

Saturday we mainly stayed inside since the weather was a bust- I walked in to this scene.  Sterling had created a pillow fort all around Frances.  It was pretty funny.

Saturday night we made Korean Beef Tacos that were truly amazing.  Matt and I devoured two pounds of beef.  I will share the recipe Wednesday!  I am still dreaming about them!

I am officially ready for Summer thanks to my cute new one piece from Social Dress Shop.  I can’t wait to wear it this Summer.

\ Zinke Starboard Bathing Suit

Sunday morning the Easter Bunny came.  It was special since it was Frances Moon’s first Easter- although Sterling basically claimed everything in her Easter Basket:)

Then we headed to early church.  All was well until I started smelling something.  I looked down and Frances had pooped everywhere- we are talking it was coming out of her tights and was all down the front of my dress.  Church was packed so we waited til the last hymn and tried to discretely leave without anyone noticing the poop everywhere!  It was an interesting Easter church experience for sure!  Afterwards we strolled the Battery.

That night we had a wonderful family dinner with Matt’s family, I love living near the water!

and these two made it the best Easter ever.  Blessed + Thankful.

Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Mar 10, 2014

Can I just say it is amazing what a weekend with good sunny weather does for the soul.  All the rain and cold here was putting me in a serious funk.  I feel rejuvenated!

We had such a great weekend.

My parents were down here for the food and wine festival so I got to spend some time with them which I always love.

Sterling loves his Big Poppie!

My mom brought a bottle of the most delish Chardonnay- I really recommend it!

Friday night we ordered pizza- we really do this every Friday.  This week we tried out a new pizza, The BLT Pizza.  It was sooo good!  Locals it was from Pasianos our favorite pizza place on James Island.

Frances and Sterling have been so sweet together lately.  Melts my heart.

Saturday the weather was so awesome I took the kids for a picnic at Normandy Farms.  Sterling is like,  really mom I am trying to eat put the camera down.

We got our new shipment of Honest Diapers and I m pretty sure these leopard ones are my favorite!

Saturday we had a couples dinner out to celebrate all the birthdays in March (including mine)!

I was pumped to fit back in my regular jeans!

My jeans are old but the current Rag and Bone version can be found HERE.

I have been obsessed with distressed denim lately!

Rag and Bone Skinny Jeans also here in lighter wash |Shirt is old Theory | Necklace Christina Jervey | Shoes

I also carried my favorite Gigi New York Clutch!

The Uber clutch is amazing, it is all I carry these days.  It is awesome because you can fit so much in it!

We had the best time with our friends.  A great way to celebrate my upcoming birthday!

Sunday I went on my first run in basically a year.  It is time to tighten this body up!  It was painful but also felt so good!

Then we went on a boat ride the weather was just amazing!  It was Frances Moons first boat ride and she loved and yes she has a life jacket we were docked this was right before we took off:)

It was a fantastic week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Feb 10, 2014

Happy Monday!  Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.   I spent our weekend finally addressing Frances Moon’s announcements.  They turned out fantastic can’t wait to show y’all later this week!

A nasty cold hit Matt and I this weekend but we powered thru and feel so much better.  I swear we both recuperated quickly thanks to Gwyneth’s Lemon Ginger Tea.  We drank this for two days straight.  We both actually loved it so much we decided we are going to drink it on our detox nights.  It is so easy to make all you do is fill a pot with water, add a sliced lemon, sliced fresh ginger, and bring to a boil.  Pour in mug and drizzle in honey.

My sister was in town for two short days we had a quick but fun visit.  I finally got to take her to my favorite lunch spot Xiao Bao Biscuit.  We are ladies who like to have cocktail while we lunch, so we sampled two of their specialty drinks.  Since I have been pregnant every time I have eaten there in the past I never got to try the cocktails and they were so good.   One was tequila and ginger beer and the other was vodka, pear and ginger beer.

We shared a few dishes.  The black bean encrusted chicken with the spicy papya salad is one of my favorites on the menu.  So of course we had to have it!

We attempted to get a picture of all three of the kids which was kind of hilarious.  Not the best idea to let a three year old hold both babies!

Sunday our nephew Drew was baptized. Such a special day- Frances is next weekend!  It was a miracle we all were dressed and out the door in time for early service!

And thanks to my father in law we were able to get a really good family picture that I am going to blow up for our hallway gallery wall.

My mom saved alot of our old baby clothes and I was able to dress Frances in my old dress.  How sweet is that??

The kids and I are off to Charlotte this week, we are planning Valentines, Sterling’s Party and Frances Moon’s Baptism.  Lots to be done with my moms help!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jan 20, 2014

Well that weekend flew by! Happy MLK Day. Sterling is out of school today so we are off to run some errands and I am going to attempt Target with two kids,  may be a bad idea!

Today Miss Frances Moon is two months old. I swear time is flying by, I feel like I was just in the hospital having her.  I have had so much fun dressing her up, girl clothes really are fun.  This weekend we decided to try out our Valentines outfit,  pretty adorable if I do say so.  Both the sweater and pants are on sale.

|| Heart Sweater | Striped Pants ||

Friday night we went out to dinner with two other couples, The Nixons and Hewitts for date night.  It was restaurant week so we were excited about a good meal for a great price.  We ate at 82 Queen and I have to say we were severely disappointed the food was totally mediocre and borderline bad.   I would not eat there again.   I am kind of over restaurant week, the meals are just never that good.   The company however was excellent and that is the most important thing right??

I wore my Equipment Owen Dress, such a great dress and Christina Jervey moon necklace.

I love this Equipment Dress so much, such an easy dress to dress up or down.  Runs true to size I am wearing a small.
||EQUIPMENT OWEN DRESS ||

I also love this floral print it comes in as well.

|| EQUIPMENT OWEN DRESS ||

Wore my Twine and Twig necklace again this weekend, such a great necklace!

Saturday we had a fairly lazy day.

I whipped up a batch of Energy Balls.  They are super easy to make: Mix 1 cup oats, 3/4 cups shredded coconut, 1/3 cup honey, 1/2 mini chocolate chips, 1 tsp vanilla. 1 tsp cinnamon.  Refrigerate for 30 mins then roll into balls.  Add flax seed or chia seeds if desired.

Sunday I scrubbed and cleaned out our
entire fridge and pantry.  Such a good feeling to open it and see it so clean.   We also enjoyed some beautiful weather at the park.

I also signed up for my first Nature Box.  Have anyone of you done this before?   I had a coupon for 50% off so it came to $10 for a box.  Apparently each month you get a shipment of 5 different healthy snacks.  I will report back and let you guys know if I like it.  I am always looking for healthy new snacks for Sterling and me.  If you want to try it and get $10 off your first order click HERE

Have a great Monday.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Nov 11, 2013

How was everyone’s weekends? Mine was busy and fun! I am trying to stay busy and forget about the fact that it is looming over my head I soon have to push a baby out.

My parents came in town for one last visit before baby girl comes.  I just love having them here.  I of course put my dad to work and mom and I did some Christmas shopping.

Friday night they took us out to eat at The Lot one of my favorite restaurants on James Island.

I snapped this picture right before dinner, look at the size of that belly!

Dinner at The Lot was amazing, two of our favorites,  the Market Plate and stuffed Pumpkin Blossoms.  We also had a kale soup that was incredible!

Saturday was project nursery day, we are finally done with everything.  My dad helped me install these awesome star decals from Urban Walls– more details coming soon.  My friend Brook is coming over today to snap nursery pictures so I hope to be able to show you guys the finished room very soon!

Shopping wise I finally snagged this 10 Crosby Derek Lam Dress I have been stalking forever on major sale.  Can’t wait to wear her post baby.

Available HERE, HERE

Took long walks both days trying to get this baby to come out.  I think she has dropped some my belly is lower.

Sunday night we made homemade Big Macs that were incredible.   They were super easy, happy to share our recipe if peeps are interested!

Have a great Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Oct 21, 2013

We had another jam packed weekend but it was so fun.   The weekends are flying by hard to believe its only 4 weekends til my due date.  I am getting so excited but also freaking out a bit.

Friday Night we had a couples date with three of our best friends at Xiao Bao Biscuit.  It was so fun and nice to get out and have adult time.  We don’t do couples date nights often enough.  We had incredible eats and such a lovely night.

I wore my Phillip Lim for Target Leopard print dress.  Ladies this dress is awesome if you are pregnant although I am sure it is cute not pregnant too.  It is still available online HERE and it is on clearance for $20,  grab it while you can!  At this point in my pregnancy there is really no hiding this massive bump so I figure I better flaunt it while I got it!  Kind of loving using the nursery for my new selfies.

If you ever go to Xiao Bao Biscuit, you must get the cabbage pancake- loaded with a fried egg, bacon, and pork candy.  It is so good I dream about it.

Saturday was my Sprinkle for baby girl! I have the most amazing friends who showed up to shower me and the baby with lots of love and precious gifts.  I feel so blessed.  I have to give Sarah at Social Dress Shop mad props, the original dress I picked out didn’t come in the mail in time for the shower so she drove a few dresses to my sisters house for her to drive down to me.  That is a good friend and good business owner.  If you are pregnant and need a dress for a special occasion, The Line and Dot dress I wore is perfection.  My sister tried it on too and it was cute not pregnant as well- plus its onsale right now:)  I highly recommend it, black and white is always such a classic combo.

I wore:

Line and Dot Dress Loren Hope Necklace | Tory Burch Emmy Flats | K Slademade Clutch

My mom let me borrow a few of her bracelets for the shower that I am now obsessed with.  I am thinking they would be a great push present:)  I love that you can layer them together or with other bracelets.  I am not a huge jewelry person but these are some of my favorite bracelets!

|| CHARRIOL NATUTICAL CABLE DIAMOND BRACELETS ||

My mom and sister came down for the weekend and I was so glad they could come to my sprinkle. My sister wore one of the the dresses Sarah sent me that sadly I could not squeeze my belly in.  It looked amazing on her, the perfect little shift dress.   On Taylor:

Amanda Uprichard Mod Shift Dress | Loren Hope Necklace

Here is a group shot from the shower, love my friends so much!

Sunday we hit up the Butcher and Bee for lunch and had the most amazing fries covered in blue cheese and arugula.

Then we hit up the Outlets.  Sterling and his cousin Finley are too precious together.  I love seeing them bond!

The nursery is finally almost done, my rocking chair is recovered and ready to be picked up this week and my light fixture is en route,  then I am done.  I can’t wait for the final reveal!  This weekend my knobs for our dresser finally came, they were back-ordered, but so worth the wait.  If you need brass pulls check out these from Anthropologie!  They really transformed the dresser (it had old wooden knobs before).
Streamline Brass Knob

That is all I have for today!  Happy Monday.  I am off to spend the morning with my mom and sister before they head out of town this afternoon!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Sep 16, 2013

Why do the weekends fly by so fast? I am starting to get a little weirded out that I only have 9 weekends or less before Baby girl makes her debut. I have alot left to do in the nursery not to mention cleaning out closets etc. A three bedroom house is gonna be a tight squeeze for 4 of us, but honestly it has been good to make me get rid of things we don’t need. We have way too much stuff.

Friday Night Matt and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary.  We went to dinner at the Mustard Seed one of our favorite restaurants.  It is pretty much our tradition to eat there on our anniversary.  The past three out of 4 years we have eaten there.  Once we tried to get all fancy and eat at Oak, well $200 later and we were both disappointed with our meals.  So now we have decided to stick with what works for us and has special meaning.

Wore my Zara Neoprene Dress, which is sadly about too small this pregnancy.  Will def rock it post baby though such a great dress.

I had a trout salad with fresh mozzarella, cucumbers, and heirloom tomatoes that was amazing.  Matt had the Filet with truffled potatoes and green beans.  Both of our meals were excellent.

Normally we don’t exchange gifts but this year Matt surprised me with two gorgeous necklaces from JCrew (thank you Melissa for helping him out).

Saturday morning Matt and his dad left bright and early to go flounder fishing so it was just me and Sterling.  We decided to hit up Krispy Kreme.  I have not been there once since I have been pregnant and decided it was time for this preggo to eat some hot and now doughnuts.  And yes Sterling and I finished this whole box.

We walked to the beach after that, had to burn off at least doughnut with my two mile stroll.  S loves the beach so much, we found a sharks tooth and he collected rocks.  Yep my son likes to collect rocks not shells from the beach go figure.

Had to get one shadow bump shot.

Wore these shoes pretty much all weekend.  I scored them on major sale at Shoes on King, they are no longer available there but found them online HERE for almost 50% off.  Elizabeth and James makes such great shoes and they are comfortable!

Lastly started trying out arrangements in the nursery.  Put the rug down and now just need to figure out furniture arrangement!  Rocking chair is getting picked up next week to be recovered!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Aug 5, 2013

We had such a productive weekend this weekend. It is a good feeling to get things accomplished.

First and foremost big thank you to my Dad who painted the nursery for us.  He really is a master painter.  He is so tall he can trim with no ladder and no tape and he paints fast!  I went with Pratt and Lambert’s Quartz Moon for our color but halved the strength of it.  It was my first instinct and my mom and sister both picked it in the blind test, so I had to trust my family.  The color went best with the rest of what I envision in the nursery.  I could not be more pleased it is the perfect purple gray.  Here is a peek this is the first coat.

Another big thank you to my in-laws who gave us a King size bed.  Our queen bed was always so cramped with the two of us and we both like our space sleeping.  This literally changed our lives this weekend, I will never go back to a Queen Bed again.  I still need a dust ruffle, duvet, and headboard but for now we are just happy we have a larger bed to accommodate our growing family.  Sterling is already smitten with it and wanted to nap in our room.

Lately I have been obsessed with Thai and Vietnamese food.  If you have any good recipes send them my way.  My mom is equally addicted and every time she is in town we always pick up Vietnamese Tacos from Ban Bah Mi.  If you have never been you must.  The best tacos ever.  Our favorites are the 5 spice pork and beef.

While mom was here we of course hit up an Estate Sale.  Mom is so good at scouring these sales for amazing finds.

We have trained Sterling well at these sales, this is him patiently waiting to enter.  He was not so patient inside especially when he found the toy room:)

I scored this abstract signed painting for practically nothing.  I mean prices at Estate Sales are so good!  It is hard to see but it is a cream and white abstract and we hung it in our bathroom.

Saturday was a pool and boat day.  I may have fallen asleep on the boat, I have been so tired lately!

We did manage to see another amazing rainbow.  We have had the best luck with rainbows this summer!  As usual once the camera comes out Sterling does not cooperate.

I realized I have entirely too many book on my night table.  Sad thing is I am reading them all.

Sunday I took Sterling to see Smurfs 2 while Matt went fishing with a buddy.  I can not go to the movies and not order buttered popcorn and coke.  It is so many calories but so worth it.

Lastly, I am 6 months along- although I still have a little less than 4 months til my due date. I forget you are really pregnant for almost 10 months and not 9.

I have been obsessed with the brand Riller and Fount for both my pregnancies.  The dress I am wearing is by them and so comfortable.  All their clothes are made out of the softest tee shirt material.

They have the a similar version on Piperlime in Black or Gray. The side rouching is key pregnant or not it hides all lumps and bumps:)

{Riller and Fount Christinia Tunic}

I also own this Kimono Dress by RF and love it.  The black and gray are on sale right now at Piperlime too.  I own the black and live in it!

{Riller and Fount Kimono Dress}

I leave you with this, my child has turned into a picky eater wanting peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for every meal.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jul 8, 2013

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. I decided to take a few days off from blogging to hang with the fam and relax. It was just what I needed!  My rents were in town too so I got to spend time with them as well.

I finally reached the halfway point in my pregnancy.  I feel like I have been pregnant a mighty long time but alas I am just halfway there.  Good news is I remember the second half with Sterling going by much faster.  Sorry if y’all are bored with the belly pics, I seriously took zero pictures while pregnant with Sterling so I have been trying to document this pregnancy a little better.  So you got 20 more weeks of pics to come:)  Wish I had more pics from when I was pregnant with Sterling so I could compare my belly size and shape- so curious what this baby is!

I have been living in the Tibi dress in the top picture.  I made it my goal this pregnancy to buy no maternity clothes (besides my one pair of maternity shorts).  They are so expensive to wear for only a short time, better to invest in something you can wear before and after baby.  The Tibi dress fit before I was pregnant and still does at 5 months pregnant.  It is a loose flattering fit and I get compliments everytime I wear it.

Lucky for you gals, the dress is on sale now, I highly recommend it.  I also recommend going down a size or two,  it runs on the large side. I got a 2 and I am normally a 4 in Tibi.

{Tibi Kaleidoscope Dress}

A few pics from our 4th of July- sad to say we didn’t even make it up for the fireworks:(  I am so tired these days and Sterling missed his nap so we were all in bed early but had fun at the Yacht Club earlier in the day.

We cooked up some amazing food this weekend.  I finally made the Greek Tortellini Pasta Salad that has been all over Pinterest and we also made some ridic Chicken Gyros and Greek Salad.  Can you tell this preggo is loving her Greek food?

I got Sterling the cutest shoes for the beach and boat.  They are called Native shoes and way cuter than crocs in my opinion.  They are plastic so they can get wet and dirty and are so easy to clean.  They carry them locally here at Sugar Snap Pea (where we got ours) but you can also order them from Nordstrom.  I love the bright neon yellow/green color Sterling picked out.  My man loves some neon.  They also come in blue and pink and purple, olive or black.  The olive was our second favorite.

{Native Shoes}

I picked up the most glorious veggies from the Farmers Market.  I had not been in two weeks so I stocked up.  We will be eating some fresh meals this week.

While Sterling stayed with my parents last week I finally painted our den and hallway, Benjamin Moore’s  Revere Pewter.  Let me tell you I underestimated what a task taping and painting such a big area by myself at 5 months pregnant would be.  Not fun, but I accomplished it in two days and it made such a big difference.  Plus I saved money by doing it myself!   Revere Pewter is the best neutral ever!  It really brightened up our family room and gave it such a fresh clean look.

Next up I need some curtains and small ottomans for the den.

Happy Monday- I know I am happy because Sterling has camp all this week at his school and he is so excited to see all his friends and play!  I need to take advantage of the few hours to myself and tackle some more house projects before bebe arrives.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jun 3, 2013

It has been awhile since I did a scenes from our weekend post because in all honesty our weekends have been kind of boring lately.  Lets be real, I am so tired most of the time and I can’t drink so I am not the funnest person to be around.  Most weekend nights we are in bed by 9 reading- so lame I know!  We finally made some plans this weekend and had friends over for dinner.  Here are a few snapshots from our weekend.

My weekend started off right when my Rag and Bone booties arrived.  Ladies, these are even better in person.  I am now convinced I need a black pair too.  Get em while they are still on sale.  My mom got a pair too and loves them- great for all ages:)

Rag and Bone Booties in Painted Leather

Friday night we hit up the Yacht Club to let our wild man run around.

Saturday morning, Sterling and I did our favorite activity and hit up the Farmers Market.  He played on the jump castles for like an hour.  I was slowly dying in the heat.  This is his tough face.

I did manage to snag these gorgeous flowers.   I have been trying not to buy fresh flowers lately to cut costs but these were too good of a deal and too pretty to pass up.

That night we had our friends over for dinner.  Here is what I wore.

[White tank top | Black Maxi Skirt (similar)]

We cooked up some amazing food.  We did our Kabobs with Hash Brown Casserole and then I tried out two new recipes- which one do ya’ll want for Recipe Wednesday??

Caprese Salad or BLT Dip.  Both were amazing.

We finally joined our neighborhood pool this year (thank you Mom and Dad) and hit it up for the first time this weekend.  The pool is nothing fancy no concession stand- but you can BYOB and it has some of the best views in town.  I think Sterling and I will be spending alot of time here this summer.

We spent alot of time walking around the block on Sterling’s scooter.  This thing was the best investment ever, Sterling loves it and I like to think it counts as physical activity for him.  For all you locals I got it at Wonder Works- it comes in pink too.  Sometimes he gets lazy and makes me pull him as seen in the pic below.

Lastly I spent alot of time in this Vince Dress.   It is the perfect dress to throw on for errands.  I am starting to become obsessed with the Vince brand.  They are such nice pieces that fit really well. They are great pregnant or not.

This particular pattern is sold out but the same style dress is available HERE and HERE.

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, now it is back to the grind.

Scenes From Our Weekend

May 6, 2013

Did everyone have a good weekend??  We sure did.  It was jam packed but so nice.

Lets start with Friday.  Friday I finally busted out my Forever 21 Leopard shorts that I bought a few months back.  They are my new favorite shorts.  So comfortable and cute.  Of course now I cant find them online but I did spy these cute leopard  shortsskirt and dress.  I have seen the dress in person and love it.

Friday while Sterling was in school I hit up Target and found the best stuff.  How amazing is this Mossimo Beach Tote?  It of course came home with me.

I also picked up these cute sandals.  I love the Aztec vibe.  Our store was pretty much sold out of them, they had like two pairs left,  a really small pair and one for my big ass feet, but they are still online.  I swear they look so expensive in person.

{Mossimo Sandals}

  i

Saturday morning we went to Breakfast at Okra Grill.  I had never been before but Matt kept raving about it and wanted to take us.  It did not disappoint.  I had the Sausage Egg Benedict with Pimento cheese grits, just incredible.

Saturday afternoon we went to Taylor’s first Birthday party, I of course did not snap one pic but you know Caycee had a photographer so I am sure there will be plenty of pics on her blog.  I did what I do best and made a mean cheese plate for her party.

Saturday night we babysat for my sister so she and her hubby could go out and celebrate their anniversary. I was in heaven snuggling with my nephew all night and Sterling could not get enough of him.

This was Sterling’s attempt to snap a picture of me and Finley.

I found the most gorgeous hydrangea at Lowes- I had never seen a tall one like this.  We put it on our front porch and are loving the pop of color.

I whipped up a few loaves of our favorite Strawberry bread.  This is the best bread ever- you can get the recipe Here.

Then of course we had to whip up something tasty for Cinco de Mayo.  We made our Shrimp Tacos with Pineapple Avocado Salsa + Mexican Corn.

Lastly, can we discuss Chris Martin’s hot body?  Who knew he was rocking a body like that?  Do you think he works out with Tracey Anderson too?

Happy Monday.  At least the sun is finally out here!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Mar 4, 2013

We had a fantastic weekend.  It was jam packed with good food, drinks, and fun!

I finally picked up my Cane Back Chair from the Upholster and I am thrilled with the results.  I ended up going with Navy Velvet and brass nailheads.  Very traditional, I feel like I can jazz it up with a fun pillow.

I think I am going to order one of these Kelly Wearstler pillows for the back of the chair.  Which pattern do ya’ll vote for Bengal Bazaar or Confetti?

Friday Night we were lucky enough to score tickets to one of the Food and Wine Festival Events at the Old JailHouse.  It was super fun minus the fact that it was unseasonably cold this weekend!  We were freezing our butts off outside,  but the delicious drinks helped to warm us up.

Chassity and I of course could not pass up a photo op with Captain Jack Sparrow.  He was pretty talented with the eyeliner.

The drinks at the party were so innovative and tasty.  They featured Rum and Tequila, of course the Tequila ones were my favorite!

Saturday we played some ball with our little man, he is pretty darn good with a baseball.  and yes it was like 40 degrees outside but he insisted on no jacket- so hard headed sometimes.

I had a fun girls dinner out at Cypress Saturday night and don’t judge but I wore the same dress I wore Friday night.  I switched out the jewelry and it was totally different people I was hanging with so I figured what the heck!  Please tell me some of you are repeat offenders too with your outfits!

The dress is the BB Dakota Noland Dress that I got from Social Dress Shop, it is sold out there but I found it online HERE.  It is such a great dress, I obviously love it since I wore it two days in a row!  It is a great price too!

{ BB Dakota Noland Dress}

I became addicted to mini Oreos this weekend.  Sterling and I polished off a bag in 24 hours.  These things are so good!  I won’t be buying them again anytime soon after I ate so many of them!  I have no self control around these tasty treats.

My painting from Jenny arrived and I am so smitten.  I can’t wait to get her framed and hang her in our house!

Love this quote, Happy Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Feb 4, 2013

Happy Monday Friends!  I have been in Charlotte since Wednesday visiting my family and it has lovely.   Time home soothes the soul.

When I am in town my mom and I always love to do some shopping and our favorite is hitting up consignment stores.  I scored these gorgeous vintage pink wine glasses and could not be more thrilled.  Every girl should have pink glasses.

Saturday night we attended a really fun engagement party for one of our friends, Lauren.  I rocked my red dress from Hampden Clothing with a fabulous Pave necklace that Baublebar was gracious enough to send me!  The necklace provides the perfect sparkle to any outfit, I even rocked it with a tee-shirt this weekend.
I managed to spill everything I ate down the front of my dress.  Why is it when I am in silk I inevitably spill things??

My mom treated me to a much needed manicure and I used Essie Power Clutch. I was so obsessed with it I bought a bottle at the nail salon.  Really the perfect grey color.

My sweet Dad, bless his heart,  told me he would take Sterling to get a haircut while mom and I got manis.  We got home and Sterling’s hair was butchered,  all of his sweet curls were chopped off.  Precisely why a man should never be in charge of haircuts.  Here is the before and after.  Makes me sad everytime I look at it.

The whole reason I came in town this week was for my sister’s baby shower on Sunday.  It was such a fun time, I am so happy for her and can’t wait to meet my sweet little nephew.

Big Thanks to Bon Vivant Style for creating the perfect invites for me.  I adore them.  I also had Liza make Sterling’s birthday invites- if you need invites she is the girl to contact!  Her work is flawless and so original.

I wore my Rory Becca Dress  from Social Dress Shop.  I was obviously getting in the spirit of Valentines Day with my pink and red dresses this weekend:)

{Rory Becca Dress, House of Harlow Necklace}

I made my favorite cucumber sandwiches for the party.  Always a hit!

If any of you girls are pregnant I highly recommend this baby bouncer.  It is freaking amazing.  We gave it to my sister as her shower gift.  It moves side to side and up and down instead of just back and forth.  It is so cool and sleek.   I wish I had this when Sterling was a baby.

{MamaRoo Bouncer Seat}

Thanks to my parents I have a new wine Obsession: Cakebread Chardonnay.  Get it you won’t be disappointed.

This quote really resonated with me after dealing with some draining people recently.  Surround yourself with positive people that make you feel good about yourself not bad!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jan 21, 2013

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  We sure did.  We made not one single plan.  After a few back to back weekends filled with plans we were happy to just sit at home and watch Homeland- finished the first season.  So good!!  Need to get my hands on season two ASAP.

Friday Sterling had no school- no idea why they needed to be out Friday and Monday for MLK but they were.  Days without school can be long so I hosted a playgroup with a few of his friends.  Us moms enjoyed mimosas while the kids played and ate lunch.

How adorable is this picture of the boys praying before lunch?  Melted my heart.  They all go to the same school and learn the prayer “God Our Father” and they sang it before lunch.  Seriously wish I had recorded this sweetness.

My blurb book came in the mail and I could not be more thrilled with
it.  I did only Instagram pictures since they are hard to print.  The
quality was fantastic.  I ended up doing a soft cover book because it
was cheaper and I am so glad I did.  Sterling is obsessed it- my child is totally vein, he loves looking at pictures of himself.  I highly recommend!  The site was easy to use and my book came in less than a week!

I tried my hand at mixing patterns this weekend.  I am normally not really one for mixing patterns.  I think it looks cute on others but not me.  But here is my look for Saturday errands.

(Joie Stripped Sweater (old), Missoni Scarf, Rag and Bone Jeans, BR Booties (old but similar here))

I went to two different drugstores and Walmart trying to find the Revlon Soft Nude lipstick.  Not one had it of course.  However at CVS for 75% I found the shade darker than Soft Nude called Rosy Nude for a whopping $2.  It is darker than I wanted but actually not a bad color.  And surprisingly the lipstick went on well and stayed on.

Excuse my nasty hair in this picture but this is how the lipstick looks on.  Subtle color and it lasts awhile this was after it had been on about 2 hours.  Totally worth $2.

Upon further researching I found out the elusive Revlon Soft Nude is now discontinued.  I managed to find an Ebay site however that sells them so I ordered one to test out.  You can’t beat the price.

I found some fab new pillows for our guest bedroom from HomeGoods.  Seriously how awesome do these pillows look?  It makes me happy everytime I walk by this room.  Its coming together slowly but surely.

When did my little baby turn into such a big boy?  He is almost too big for the baby swings.  Time flies.

I did manage to force him into a cute outfit this weekend, bribery always works.  Dressing him has become such a pain in the arse and a challenge.    He is so opinionated and all he wants to wear is his spider man shirt.  Every. single.day.

Case and point as soon as we got home from church this came back on. And he wants to wear shorts everyday no matter how cold it is.  So hard headed.

Boys will be boys.
Happy Monday.  No school again (ahhhhhh)!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Nov 26, 2012

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I know we certainly did.  Although I must say I ate and drank way too much all weekend.  Back to reality today and back to the gym for shizzle.

I have to brag for a minute because my husband cooks the most perfect beautiful turkey ever.  He is so good at it.  I don’t even love turkey but I love his.  He takes it very seriously and brines it for two days and then stuffs it full of veggies and herbs.  It is mouth wateringly good!

We tried to snap a family picture which is always difficult.  I think Sterling does this on purpose when the camera comes out so we can’t get a good picture.  He cried  the whole time.

I did think this one with our furbaby was pretty funny!

Here is my Thanksgiving Outfit:

{Theory Blouse, JBrand Bourbon Jeans, JCrew Necklace (old)}

I found the cutest pair of slippers for Sterling during Black Friday sales.  They came in several different options but he loved the alligator ones. They are the softest things ever!  They were supposed to be a Christmas gift but I am a sucker and gave them to him early.  He has worn them everyday since!

{Hatley Alligator Slippers}

We started decorating our house for Christmas.  I always start the day after Thanksgiving, I like to enjoy my decorations as long as I can!

This year is especially fun decorating because Sterling is so into it.  He has loved getting all the decorations out and helping me put them up!

Saturday I had a fun night with these pretty ladies at Pearlz in West Ashley.

I rocked a blouse my sister in law shared with me that came from Forever 21.  It was $19 ladies!! Doesn’t it look just like Milly?  I could not find it online but found mine in the store on King Street.

Thanks to Matt I discovered the most amazing ginger ale ever.  Now I normally don’t drink soft drinks but this ginger ale is freaking amazing.  I drank two this weekend.  Unheard of normally.  It is made with fresh ginger and not sweet at all.  Perfectly carbonated.  We found it in the chilled section at the Piggly Wiggly.  You must try it!!

I found a new iphone app I am obsessed with called “PocketBooth”.  It is like a photo booth on your iphone.  We used it last night and had so much fun with it!

Alright, that’s all I have today!  Off to the gym to work off all the crap I ate this week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Oct 1, 2012

Here is what went down.

Did a little Antique shopping with my mom and found the perfect Lucite bench for our bedroom.  Of course it was already sold.  I am still stewing about this.  I actually loved the fabric and it was in great condition.  Figures, right?

Although I missed out on the bench, I did score some sweet vintage jewelry at an Estate Sale we hit up that day.

I loved having my family in town.  This is me,  my mom,  and sister before our art walk we went on Friday night.

Saturday we hit up the Farmers Market and I was so flattered that one of my readers from Atlanta stopped me on the streets to say she loved my blog.  Made my day and made me feel like a quasi celebrity!  So thank you for stopping and saying hi!  Sterling loved the jump castle.

Saturday we did a booze cruise with my rents. I made Greek Salad Skewers- thank you pinterest.  All you do is skewer Feta, olives, cucumbe,r and cherry tomatoes.  Super easy and delish.  Both my dad and Matt commented on how much they liked them.   I figured the men wouldn’t like them but I was wrong!

Our boat ride rocked.   Sometimes I forget how lucky we are to have a boat and live near the water, it really soothes your soul.

My mom had the genius idea of bringing Sterling Big boy underwear this weekend (and no he is not potty trained yet, have yet to attempt it) .  He loved them and wanted to wear them right then of course.  My mom put them on him and told him to tell us before he needed to tee tee.  Two hours later I had honestly forgotten he was wearing them.  He says “Mommy I made a poo, I need you to change it.”  I looked down and there was pee all over our den rug and poo running down his legs.  Big Boy Underwear = Massive Fail.

This is right before the bath we had to take to clean everything up.  I dread potty training, for reals.

Ended Our Weekend with some delicious homemade Tomato Dill Soup and Truffled Grilled Cheese.  If you have never added truffle oil to your grilled cheese sandwich you are really missing out!  Recipes coming Wednesday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Sep 17, 2012

Monday is always here way too soon.  We had such a nice weekend.  Matt and I even got a solo night to ourselves because his parents kept Sterling over night Saturday and we got to sleep in til 8:30- such a treat I tell you!  I can’t remember the last time I laid in bed past 7!  After a kid its the little things!

Friday I was inspired by Cassie’s F21 post so I popped in there to browse.  Found this great blouse- the color is even better in person.  Such a steal at $19.00
{Sheer Smocked Tie-Neck Blouse}

Friday night we cooked out at my sister in law and brother in laws house.  They are staying in one of his family’s houses downtown on The Battery and it is fabulous.  I didn’t get any family pictures of course but I did snap a picture of this vintage wallpaper in one of the bathrooms.  How great is it for kids?

Saturday we started off our anniversary with a family bike ride to the park.

We then cooled off with some beers and pizza.  I am so not a beer drinker- like I probably have not had a beer in months but for some reason it sounded good yesterday and it was tasty as well!

I busted out my Parker Dress, from last year to wear for our Anniversary Date Night.  I love that the weather here is not quite so humid and it is cooler in the evening,  so I can wear some fall clothes!

Before our Anniversary Dinner we stopped by a party at our Yacht Club to celebrate our neighbor Pete, who was  being inducted to President.  It was the perfect evening to be out on the water!

We ate at one of our favorite restaurants for dinner.  I had Salmon over arugula with heirloom tomatoes and fresh goat cheese and Matt had Flounder- like literally a whole flounder!  They were both incredible!

We of course had to snap the obligatory self portraits!  Cheers to 5 years.

Sunday we relaxed.  Poor Sterling has a touch of a cold.  I took him on an afternoon jog with me and he passed out cold.  Look at that sweet face!   I have started calling him Mr.  Scrumptious because I just can’t get enough of him!  This is such a fun and loving age!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Aug 6, 2012

Happy Monday. I know you all are dying to know who won the giveaway but guess what I am going to keep it open for one more day!   So any new readers you have til Monday at midnight to enter the fabulous A-Thread Giveaway

My weekend got to a fab start on Thursday Night. You see I was in Charlotte all last week visiting my parents. Thursday my mom and sister and I decided to check out the new Wolfgang Puck Pizza Restaurant and it did not disappoint. All you Charlotte locals must check it out at Phillips Place.  Our favorite pizza we tried was the lamb sausage pizza. I’m drooling thinking about it.

Sterling loved some quality time with his Aunt Taylor (as did I).  Notice the funny face yet again, sigh.

And I truly enjoyed some time with my mom.  I miss her so much and wish we lived in the same city.

Before I left Charlotte, Mom took Sterling and I to do a little back to school,  tax free shopping.  Hey, even though I am not in school it is a great excuse for new clothes:)  I picked up this BB Dakota dress I blogged about awhile back.  It was super affordable and so cute on – although Matt insists I look like Peter Pan in it.  But what does he know about fashion?

{BB Dakota Ashton Dress}

We bought these bright green aPuma’s for Sterling.  They are a little trendier than what I normally dress him in but I love the look.  They are seriously adorable on- I highly recommend for any of you with boys.

{Puma Whirlwind V Kids}

Saturday Matt and I took the boat to meet his parents at Morgan Creek Grill for lunch. I had never been before but loved it.  Great views.  I had the crab cake sandwich and a glass of chardonnay = perfect lunch.

Sunday I enjoyed brunch at Husk with my favorite blogging friends!  It was so great to have Julia in town for a quick visit.  We really miss our Richmond friend.  Our brunch lingered on til 5- no joke we had alot of catching up to do.  And we were so loud and giggly an older woman asked me if we were celebrating a Bachelorette Party and I said no just a day without kids and husbands:)

(me, Caycee, Julia, and Chassity)

Guess what I wore?  My Peter Pan Dress:)  Haters gonna hate.

We leave for our family vacation on Saturday and I have some fun posts lined up for you guys.  This means I am in detox mode this week.  I am trying to make it til Thursday with no alcohol and only fruits and veggies and maybe fish.  Not sure I can do it but I am going to try because I know next week will be glutinous!  Wish me luck! xoxo

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jul 23, 2012

I just realized this is the last week of July! Where has the first half of this year gone?  I feel like the Holidays are going to be upon us before we know it! I started off Friday with a pool date with my favorite ladies and their kids.   Apparently I need to get Sterling a puddle jumper, he was the only kiddo sans a float!

I will say it again but I am obsessed with my Rag and Bone White Skinny Jeans.  They are the perfect white jean and I have tried on many.  This was my outfit from Friday:

{F21 Blouse (old) , Rag and Bone Jeans, JCrew Necklace via Ebay, Tory Burch Emmy Flats}

Friday night we enjoyed some time near the water.  It was so nice and refreshing.  Always the perfect end to a busy week.

Check out my glass of wine that I ordered Friday at our Yacht Club.  Now that’s what I call a healthy pour wine!

I have a new addiction and it is a smoothie every morning.  I usually do bananas and strawberries but I switched it up Saturday with fresh cherries and it was amazing.  I blend:  Approx 1/2 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt, 2 Bananas, 1/2 cup pitted and diced cherries and ice.  This makes enough for 3 smoothies for me, Matt and Sterling.

Sunday we cooked a down home kind of meal: BBQ Chicken, Butter beans, Okra, and Skillet Corn.

We don’t cook chicken often because I am super weird about chicken and the way it is cooked, but I was craving BBQ chicken last night.  I had no idea what kind of BBQ sauce to buy.  I browsed and browsed and 90 percent of all the store brand BBQ sauce’s first ingredient was Corn Starch- umm I don’t think so, not eating that processed shiz.  After reading labels for 20 mins (I am not kidding) I randomly picked this bottle.  The ingredients were fairly fresh plus I liked the guy on the label.  Well it turned out to be awesome!! Such great flavor we will most def use this sauce again!

I stayed up way too late last night watching the Bachelorette season finale and After The Final Rose.  Reality Steve was right on about her choosing Jef.  I did feel bad for Arie he seemed truly shocked.   I thought it was nice she let him go early,  unlike Ashley last season who let Ben get down on one knee and propose when she knew she wanted JP- so rude and humiliating.  Jef really grew on me this season and his hair finally got a little better towards the end.  He seems like a very respectable guy hard to believe he is only 25.  I hope they last but I am not counting on it.  Lastly, I have to admit I did not like Emily’s final dress at all- did y’all?

Neiman Marcus just started their Last Call Sale.  All sale items you get an additional 25% off.   That means almost 70% off regular prices!  There are some seriously good deals online so check it out!

Get to shopping and Happy Monday!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Jun 4, 2012

Lets dish.  We had a great weekend, did you?  My parents and sister were here plus my in-laws officially moved here this week so we had a crazy busy weekend!

Remember when I told you about my in-laws Estate sale? Well this rug is one of the pieces we were lucky enough to score.  We were originally planning to put it in our dining room but decided she was more Den worthy.  What do you think?  I am pretty smitten with her, pretty amazing how a rug can transform a room.

I had the best time with my sister. Seriously she is my best friend and I love hanging out her.  We definitely didn’t plan to both wear matching orange shirts.  Sisters Intuition I guess.

My parents brought Sterling one of my old CareBears and he is obsessed with it.  My mom saved everything from when we were kids which is kind of awesome.  The Vintage Toys are so much better. You can see the CareBear peeking out below.

Did a little shopping with my mom and scored these Dolce Vita Sandals at TJMaxx, yes I am serious.  $29.99. (Don’t judge my giant size 9.5 feet).

Mom also treated me to this perfect silk shirt from Banana Republic.  The back is so cute.  Sported it with my blush jeans this weekend.  And yes that is a giant stain at the bottom.  Silk shirts with a two year are a bad idea but I refuse to sacrifice my style now that I am a Mommy….
Luckily this is the type of silk that can be washed not drycleaned.

{BR Lauren Silk Flutter Top}

We caught another awesome sunset and Sterling saw his first Fireworks at The Yacht Club on Saturday.

I have a new favorite drink.  The good Old Greyhound.  Only it must be made with fresh squeezed, not bottled Grapefruit Juice.  It is so refreshing.

Cooked the New York Times Recipe for Spicy Quinoa, Cucumber, and Tomato Salad. and it was awesome!  Recipe HERE.

My little man is growing up so fast. How do I slow down the time???

Doesn’t he totally look like a fraternity boy in the first picture?  Just chilling with his crazy hair.

Have a great Monday.  Looks like its gonna be a rainy day here spent indoors!

Scenes From Our Weekend

May 7, 2012

Is it Monday already??  This weekend really flew by!

My House of Harlow Leather Station Necklace arrived and me likey. She is perfection.  I debated between the black and tan but ultimately chose the tan and I am glad I did.  I feel like it will go with everything.

I hit up the Farmers Market Saturday and got all sorts of great veggies.  I love the Farmers Market in a major way.  My main problem is narrowing down what I really want to buy.  I have to only bring a set amount of cash otherwise I would go crazy!

I came home and made and Avocado BLT with fresh tomatoes and spinach from the market!

I potted some flowers with my brown thumb. I am really trying to learn more about gardening and keep some plants alive longer than 1 month.  I also started working on my porch renovation.  One rocking chair is now high gloss white (it was black before).  Took a few more cans of spray paint than I thought, but I love the look.  Glossy white looks good on everything.

I saw these cushions at TJMaxx that I am considering for the rocking chairs.  I really wanted the Trina Turk cushions but at $300 a piece that is so not happening.   I want a pattern but I am thinking I want different colors than yellow and green.

I ordered the Tibi Ikat Shorts but I just can’t decide about them.  They are pretty pricey for shorts and I felt like I did not have that many shirts that looked cute with them.  A white tank tucked in looked best.   Plus I am not sure they are super flattering.  Most likely returning them.

Had a blast with my little man at the Yacht Club. He is quite obsessed with swings and slides these days.

Last night we cooked this Thai Shrimp Noodle Rice Bowl Recipe recommended by WayWay.  It was off the hook.  Seriously freaking amazing.  We will be making it many more times.

Hope your week is off to a good start!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Apr 2, 2012

This weekend was a whirlwind but amazing!
The Rag and Bone show was everything I hoped it would be! The clothes were incredible, the drinks were delicious, and the company was divine.
The show was held at WestBrook Brewery in Mt Pleasant. It was such a cool location and the perfect spot for a fashion show. I will most definitely be headed back here for a wine and beer tasting soon.

I snapped a few pics of the models. I had a major crush on the girl in the red pants she was stunning. The fashion show was filled such bright fun colors.

Chassity and I hanging out pre-show. Don’t you just love her outfit? My girl has major style!

I have to admit I had never tried on Rag and Bone jeans before but now I am hooked. They fit fabulous. They sit higher up on your waist, have the perfect amount of stretch and really suck you in. I am going to stock up on their jeans.
Rag and Bone Capri Zipper Jeans

My brother brought me a belated birthday gift, India Hicks An Eye For Design Coffee Table book. I have been wanting this book forever. The cover is so pretty and looks perfect on our table.

The next night we celebrated my sisters birthday. I stayed out til one and totally paid for it the next day!

On Sunday we headed to the beach, the weather has really perfect here lately!

I went on a run later (to sweat out all the booze I consumed) and found these amazing Vintage Bamboo pots on the side of the road. They are going to look perfect on our porch. Do ya’ll like them natural or would you paint them a fun color or a glossy white?

On Sunday night I enjoyed this Prosecco. Ladies this was seriously delicious. Go buy some asap.

We also cooked some Mexican Street Corn. We often eat this at Taco Boy and had always wanted to recreate it. It was so yummy! Get the Recipe Here. This will be made often in our house the flavors were incredible.

It was a perfect weekend, hope yours was too!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Mar 5, 2012

We had a lazy and relaxing weekend which was perfect since it rained cats and dogs here most of the weekend!
We snuck in a quick walk to the beach near our house Saturday morning before the rain. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing my two boys hanging out together.

We enjoyed some lemon martinis Saturday night. So delish that I swear I got tipsy off just one (I blame the hubs he makes a stiff drink)!

My little man has decided he has no need for diapers during nap time. I peaked in on him Friday and found him just letting it all hang out. Luckily no accidents were had!

Sterling and Matt grilled me some Hot Dogs for dinner Friday night- Thanks to my parents for the grill they gave Sterling for his birthday! He loves it so much.

I finally got to wear my JCrew floral dress to church on Sunday. Love it and so glad I snagged it on sale.

Align Center

Speaking of JCrew, I am obsessed with this maxi skirt in the new catalog. It looks like it has side pockets though which are a definite no go for me. Pockets on the hips can really ruin a outfit in my opinion. Makes me sad because it is a great color!

I found this awesome bracelet on Hautelook this weekend. It looks just like the Jennifer Zeuner Cross Bracelet I blogged about but for a fraction of the cost. Only $42, I am so excited about it.

Got back into my Chopped Greek Salads for lunch, see recipe Here. I took a break for awhile but now I am back on to this tasty lunch!

Hope you all had a great weekend too! xoxo

Scenes From Our Weekend

Feb 13, 2012

I picked up my first batch of Valentine’s candy. I had been trying to avoid it but I can’t resist a Reese’s Heart. So darn Good! I ate 5 right when I got home with the bag!

My sister and I made these Pimento Cheese Cookies from Southern Living. They are sweet and savory as they are filled with strawberry preserves. Kind of similar to a cheese straw. Delish, I highly recommend!

I also finally made this Quinoa Mac and Cheese I had been dying to make. It did not disappoint- recipe to come Wednesday.

Matt had a law seminar all weekend so I had alot of quality time with my little man. We enjoyed an afternoon at the beach near our house.

I watched two movies, Horrible Bosses and The Change-Up Plan. Really enjoyed them both but definitely liked the Change-Up Plan better. What’s not to love about Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman in the same movie, and it was hilarious! Both movies reminded of how much I love Jason Bateman.

My patience paid off, guess what I found on sale finally? My JCrew dress! Happy Early Birthday to me!

I always love when I see celebrities in non-designer dresses. Makes me appreciate them for shopping at regular stores. Love that Drew Barrymore wore my dress on the Jay Leno Show.

In case you can’t tell I am officially obsessed with the Instagram app! I swear I don’t even use my camera anymore. If you are on instagram you can follow me @snoopnattynat. Yep I know the name is cheesy- long story but it was a nickname from College!
Happy Monday Dolls!

Scenes From Our Weekend.

Jan 9, 2012

How is it Monday already? I feel like this weekend flew by. It was just what I needed though, we made no plans and it was lovely to relax after the whirlwind Holidays.

I have been on real health kick this week (yeah, yeah I know everybody is and mine probably won’t last long). But I have been really into juicing and making Green Smoothies. I found this great recipe for a Pineapple Kale Cucumber Smoothie and I highly recommend. All it consists of is kale, pineapple, cucumber and raspberries. So it is super healthy. Get Recipe HERE. Picture via.

I got organized in the kitchen. I found these containers at Walmart of all places, only $1.99. I used them to put all our sugar, grains, pasta, and dried beans in. Now I love opening my pantry.

We enjoyed some afternoon cocktails on my father-in-laws sailboat. Gotta love 70 degree days in January.

We ate brunch at an amazing new restaurant on James Island called HEART. Seriously all you locals must try this place. They have a great menu and so many delish specialty drinks. They hand squeeze all their juices and they make their own Bloody Mary mix as well. Everything was so fresh and delish.

Here as a peek at what we enjoyed: Sausage Egg and Cheese Sandwich, Cauliflower Hash with Eggs, and Broccoli, Roasted Red Pepper and Feta Frittata. The Frittata was mine and it was amazeballs. I can’t wait to dine here again!

I spent a little time browsing at Barnes and Nobles. Yep, I know I am a nerd but I love browsing at bookstores. I found this beauty on the clearance table- I mean why was this gem of a cookbook on clearance? I heart The Beekman Boys and this cookbook is filled with some mouthwatering recipes. I was happy to bring her home at 50% percent off and add her to my expanding cookbook collection!

I put my little man in jeans for the first time. I don’t know why but babies in jeans makes me a little sad. I love a baby boy dressed in rompers and bubbles. I feel like he will be wearing jeans the rest of his life so I like to dress him like a baby while he is a baby, but my little man is quickly turning into a toddler. These jeans are truly vintage, they were my brothers from the 80’s. Gotta love the Calvin Klein Jeans right? Pretty darn cute!

It was a good weekend, hope yours was too!
