I am back with a new round of Q&A. Thank you to everyone who sent me questions! I will try and do this once a month. I could not fit all of them in this post so I saved the others for the nest post!

Hardest thing about Divorce?

Honestly everything. I don’t try and sugarcoat it divorce is horrible and not to mention emotionally draining. I once read an article that said the hardest two things in life to live through are losing a loved and divorce and I would have to agree. Divorce is just plan awful. Time helps but is a journey.

When I sleep stalk the kids do I turn on a light to take pictures?

No, Frances Moon sleeps with a night light on that is why her room is brighter when I take pictures. I don’t use flash and usually edit the picture to brighten it even more before I post it.

Will I ever move back to Charlotte?

Probably not. I love my life here in Charleston and I also want the kids’ to be close to their Dad.

Am I doing Faster Way to Fat Loss and what were my thoughts on it?

I am not doing it right now. I do however still practice some parts of it like intermittent fasting some days and low carb days. It is a great program but I personally got tired of tracking macros and trying balancing everything I was eating.

Where did I go to college and what was my major?

I went to UNC- Chapel Hill (GO Tar Heels). I majored in Journalism. I had big dreams to move to New York and work for a fashion magazine but that never happened- haha. That is why I love blogging because it is like my own online magazine.

When I am coming out with a cookbook and how do I get my kid’s to eat so well?

So exciting news I have a cookbook in the works. It will hopefully be out sometime this Summer. We are starting with an E-Cookbook and then depending how well that goes we may venture into a hardcopy. I am so excited this is a dream I have had for a long time and don’t worry there will be a picture for each recipe:)

I think my kid’s are good eaters because I constantly introduce them to new foods and make them at least try a bite of something. I will say that gets easier as your kids get older. Sterling used to be very picky and now he will eat anything. In fact his favorite foods are oysters and sushi. The key is to keep cooking new things for them to try. Also I take mine grocery shopping with me often and the let them choose the veggies we will cook with dinner. That gets them involved. Oh and bribery works too- mine don’t get a bite of dessert if they don’t eat their dinner.

What time do I go to bed at night and wake up?

I usually get in bed around 9:30 but then I will read or watch a tv show so it is usually 10:30 when I turn the lights out. I get up at 6am every morning.

How Tall am I?

I am 5’9

What Eyeshadow palette/colors do I use?

I have two favorites- Tarte and Laura Mercier. I just got this Tarte palette and love it. Perfect day to night neutrals.

Laura Mercier– this palette has more colors and they all are so pretty. I use this one more for nighttime look and Tarte during the day.

Favorite White Tee Shirt?

I have so many white tees but I really love the Madewell tees and they are under $20. I have several colors and wear a size small.

Favorite Shows on Bravo?

I love the Housewives but only OC and Beverly Hills, I don’t really watch any of the other housewives because they annoy me.

Do I microblade my brows?

No, I have thought about it but it honestly scares me a little. I mentioned before I have been filling them in to make them look fuller and thicker. I swear by the Dior Eyebrow pencil– I use shade 01.

What Eye cream do I use?

I have two I use and love- Ole Henriksen Banana Bright eye cream and Colleen Rothschild eye cream. I also really like the Colleen Rothschild Retinol Eye Serum and all her products are 20% off right now.

How often do I wash my hair and what do I use in between?

I wash my hair probably 3 times a week. In between I swear by Living Proof Full Volume Dry Blast Spray. It really makes your hair look less greasy and gives it crazy volume and it smells amazing. I also love the Moroccan Oil Light Tones Dry Shampoo.

Best new boutique hotel in DT Charleston?

There are so many great new hotels opening in Charleston. I am actually staying at a new one this weekend called Hotel Bella Grace so I will report back on how I like it. The Vendue and The Dewberry are 2 other favorites of mine.

Are my ex and I friends like Gwyneth and Chris Martin?

This question made me laugh. I am not gonna lie and say we are best friends, we are exes for a reason but I think when you are divorced you want what is best for your children and for us that involves having a good relationship. We show our kids we are still friends so they don’t feel uncomfortable. Now would I take him on my honeymoon like GP did with Chris and Brad- that is probably a hard no:) I also have a good relationship with Matt’s new wife who I really like. If you can be adults and put your past behind you and be friends for the sake of the kids it makes a big difference.

Why are the kids with me so much?

Plain and simple because I want them to be. Matt has them every other weekend and Wednesday nights. This schedule works well for us.

If you could only buy on Gwyneth Paltrow Cookbook which would it be?

This is hard because I seriously love all her cookbooks. But I would I say I probably use the cookbook It’s All Easy the most.

Where do I keep the kids toys?

We live in a small Ranch house and have no playroom so the kids keep all their toys in their rooms. They can play with them in the den but I don’t allow them to leave them out. Frances Moon has a large toy box in her room we store them and honestly Sterling doesn’t have many toys he is over that. Just lots of legos.

What is the pinky-gloss shine I always have on my lips?

I have two glosses I always wear- Beautycounter Peony and Estee Lauder in Fuschia which sadly I think they no longer make!!

Best Purchase of 2019 so far?

hmmmm I have not purchased a ton this month but I would probably have to say my peasant blouses from Anthro because I wear them all the time. I am wearing an XS.

Favorite natural deodorant?

I am still using Native and love it. I love that they come out with seasonal scents. Right now I am loving the Powder and Cotton and Dozen roses scents.

I love the Tretorn ones and they are all under $100.
