Creating the Perfect Charcuterie + Veggie Boards

Oct 26, 2020

Dress | Wooden Board

If you have followed me for awhile you know I love creating charcuterie boards. I find it very therapeutic it is like an art form to me. This is a recent board I created and had lots of messages about it, so I wanted to break it down and show you what exactly I put on it and where to shop. I typically buy my meats and cheeses at Whole Foods, Earthfare or Trader Joes. My rule of thumb when assembling is I always try and alternate the meat and cheese and then add in fruits, nuts, and crackers in between. I did figs on this board because they are in season now but I also love to do sliced apples or grapes. Honey and whole grain mustard are always staples for me too.

I broke the board down into three sections: meats, cheeses, crackers + extra items and denoted where to purchase everything,

Uncured Salami- Trader Joes (I always stock up on this there)

Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella – Harris Teeter, Publix (I actually buy these for snacks for the kids and decided to cut them in half for my board)

Olli Genoa and Calabrase Salami- Earthfare (I like these because of the size, they are the perfect bite size salami)

All of these cheeses are from Earthfare

Aged Cheddar

Triple Cream Brie

Manchego

Danish Blue Cheese

Parano

2’s company Fig and Pecan Crackers – Earthfare

Root & Branches Black Pepper crackers – Earthfare

Pickled Okra – Harris Teeter

Tipsy Tapas Cheese Stuffed Sweet Peppers – Harris Teeter (in the pickle section)

Parmesan Crisps – Trader Joes

Toasted Baguette – Earthfare

Truffle Marcona Almonds- Trader Joes

Raw Honey- any store

Whole Grain Mustard- not pictured Harris Teeter

I also always love to do a veggie platter. Pick any veggies the more diverse colors the better. Then I usually do three dips. This board has homemade ranch, guacamole, and cauliflower hummus.

The veggies on here are : watermelon radish, red bell pepper, celery, squash, broccoli, radish, rainbow carrots, cucumbers.

Serve both boards with wine and enjoy!!
