Recent Reads | Book Recommendations

Oct 20, 2020

I had lots of requests to share recent books I have read. Since Covid I have really started reading more. I have always been a huge reader but now so even more.

I complied a master list of the all recommendations you all sent me on instagram and there were actually so many I had not heard of! This is going to be a great resource for me personally whenever I am looking for a new book! and if I missed one leave it on the comments! I linked all the books to Amazon so if you want to read more about the ones recommended you can click to read the summary.

Books I have read recently :

Untamed| Glennon Doyle – This book was inspiring on so many levels. Each chapter is a different story and life advice. I love Glennon and if you have not listened her podcast is great as well.

The Wife Stalker | Liv Constantine – This is written by the same author of The Last Mrs Parrish which I loved. This was a bit slow at times but had a great twist at the end. Super easy and quick read.

Big Summer | Jennifer Weiner – I always love Jennifer Weiner’s books. This was fun because it was about a plus sized influencer and a murder mystery.

The Lies that Bind | Emily Giffin– This was one of my favorite out of the group. Emily Giffin always tells such compelling stories and I always immediately relate to the characters. Trust me on this one, it’s a really great read about fate and how intertwined lives can be.

The Idea of You – I loved this book! Especially the fact that it is about a 40 year old divorced woman dating a 20 year rock star.

28 Summers | Elin Hilderbrand – The premise of this book is so sweet, about a girl and boy who want to be together, yet life prevents them from it. They make a pact to meet together once a year for a weekend every year no matter what. It is a sweet and different kind of love story.

Maybe You Should Talk to Someone – I read this last year and it still remains a favorite. About a therapist and her therapist- focusing on self love and growth.

One Day December| Josie Silver -This is another great love story. Girl locks eyes with boy and falls in love right as the train doors close. She searches for him and talks about him for months. Her best friend shows up with her new boyfriend and it is him! It is such a good story about romance, love and fate.

Open Book | Jessica Simpson- I loved this book so much. I felt like Jessica was so raw and real about her struggles especially when her life seemed so perfect on the outside. You never know what someone is battling behind closed doors. This book made me love her even more.
