Life Lately

Apr 29, 2021

My niece Augusta and parents came to visit a few weeks ago and it was so fun. We took her to do a little shopping and she loved it. She is my sister’s mini me.

Fresh blooms to brighten our den.

Finally tried Malagon a Spanish tapas spot I had been wanting to try! It was so delicious, perfect for sharing plates. We shared the cured tuna, white asparagus and prawns. All amazing.

A few recent buys from the Shopbop sale :

Cover Up Dress | This is my favorite cover up line, the material is so soft and breathable.

Dress – same line as above, love the colors!!

Ulla Johnson Dress | Ulla can do no wrong in my book and added bonus when you can find on sale. I sized up to a 6 on this.

I recently worked with Hellmann’s for their campaign “Make Taste, Not Waste” and made this yummy Chicken BLT Pasta Salad and had to share the recipe! Hellmann’s really wants to encourage everyone to combine extra ingredients left over in your fridge rather than letting them go bad in a fun, creative way that doesn’t limit you to a strict recipe.  This recipe was super easy using all ingredients I had on hand (see below for recipe).

CHICKEN BLT PASTA SALAD

12 oz cooked noodles any noodles work I used orecchiette

2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded

½ red onion diced

6 pieces bacon cooked and crumbled

1 cup cherry tomatoes halved

1 cup spinach shredded

1 cup Parmesan Cheese

DRESSING

¾ cup Hellmann’s Mayonnaise

½ cup sour cream

2 tablespoons olive oil

Juice of one lemon

½ teaspoon dried chives

½ teaspoon dried dill

½ teaspoon parsley

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

Whisk dressing together and pour over Pasta Salad ingredients.

I am in shock sweet Sterling is graduating elementary school in 6 weeks! He is growing up so fast.

I attended my first event in over a year, a fun shopping party with Poppy Caravan. Wearing Hunter Bell dress that is sold out | sandals are here.

A fun date night out at Leons. Also these Krewe sunglasses I bought in Nashville are my new favorites.

If you haven’t tried the fried oyster sandwich at Leon’s it is a must. I can’t believe we hadn’t tried it before.

So happy he still lets me hug on him.

Have a wonderful day!
