I have been on a roll reading and loving it. Ever since I was a little girl I have always loved books and reading. They recently built a new library near us and I have been enjoying taking the kids there to check out books. Below are the most recent books I have read.

The Perfect Marriage | I think I may have included this one on my last post because it was the last book I read then. It was an easy read. The main character’s husband is having an affair and they find his mistress murdered at their lake house. He is pegged as the prime suspect and his wife is an attorney who says she will defend him. Lots of twists and turns and the ending was so good!

The Push | This was a dark physiological thriller, not my typical read but it was really good. They story is about a woman who has a baby girl and just can’t seem to bond with her. She thinks there is something wrong with her and that she is evil. She then has a son who she immediately bonds with in a very different way from the daughter. This book will remain with you long after reading it.

That Summer | I was excited about this book but it kind of disappointed me. It took me awhile ro get into then finally picked up a little but was still just blah to me. The plot revolves around a #metoo type of story and focuses on two women’s lives who become intertwined.

Malibu Rising | This was a fun read. I really liked the characters. A story of 4 siblings with a Dad who left them to pursue his career and how their lives turned out.

The Wife Stalker | This was such a good and easy read. I think I read it in 2 days. If you liked the Last Mrs Parrish this is by the same author. This was a thriller up til the very end!

Golden Girl | This was my favorite book out of the bunch. I always love Elin’s books, she is such a talented author. This one really pulled on my heartstrings as a mother. It is about a famous author who gets hit by a car running and dies. She ascends to this place between her final destination of heaven and gets a window of time to watch down below and give 3 nudges to change the direction of life for her loved ones. I cried at the end of this one, just loved it so much.

The Hunting Wives | This book was dark and scandalous. I didn’t really love any of the characters and the beginning was slow yet still I found myself wanting to read more. It is about a group of wives in a small town in Texas and none of them are happy or fulfilled. They go shoot guns every Friday and get into some trouble. It has a major plot twist about halfway through and really picks. up. Overall I enjoyed this book!
