My New Skincare Routine

May 6, 2022

The above photos were taken over a three month span about 6 weeks apart each. That is how much my skin has improved with my new skincare regime. There is no filter and not a touch of make up, that is my natural face. I never thought I had really bad skin I just some had some issues mainly redness, dryness and dark eye circles. However looking back at these photos I realize my skin was really not in good shape 3 months ago! I am a self proclaimed beauty junkie and love trying new products. However my friend Claire @dabbleco said maybe I was mixing too many different products. My skin barrier had too much going on and needed to be healed.

Claire @dabbleco and I have known each other for years, and I decided to reach out to see if she’d be interested in helping me with some skincare to get my face in good shape. Her skin is flawless, she really knows her skincare and is so knowledge and HONEST. I knew I could trust her not to feed me BS. She is the co founder of a really cool company based in Charleston called The Skin Clique. They are the first national company that does concierge aesthetics – meaning they fully come to YOU! So Claire was able to do a virtual skincare consult for me, and then sent me a full run down in email (so I can go back and reference it) with a whole new routine!  She recommended products, told me what was priority, how to get started and literally exactly what to do.  I think my before and after speaks for itself and I am so thrilled with what she picked out for me (and she was able to prescribe me something as well! ).

I started using only what Claire recommended for me back in February and have done that exact routine every single day and have not deviated from it. I actually printed out her email and kept it with my skincare so as not to miss a step- I now have it memorized! I have thrown in my face masks and eye patches but my core skincare routine has been what she recommended for me and it really works.

After my consult, Claire was able to call in a prescription for me to help with redness, probably from rosacea! She gave me other things that will help but I probably won’t do-haha (like avoiding spicy foods and certain alcohols… ugh).  Here is a breakdown of all of the products I’m currently using.

Skin Clique’s Essential Cleanser ($29) or ZO Gentle Cleanser ($47)

ZO Oil Control Pads ($64) – which I didn’t even know I needed! These give me that tingly, clean feeling after I cleanse and help fight acne. Pro tip: cut them in half to make the jar last twice as long!

ZO Daily Power Defense ($160)  – a really great, light moisture and antioxidant serum

Vitamin C – I already have one that she said I can keep using, and when I run out she’ll recommend another!

*Metrogel – this is a prescription product to help with redness

SkinBetter’s SPF Compact ($65) – y’all.  This is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It’s makeup that’s actually really good SPF, and I love being able to app

ZO Rozatrol ($91) – This is the anti redness product that will help calm your Rosacea as well

SkinBetter AlphaRet ($130)– this is a really gentle retinoid that I can actually tolerate since I have sensitive skin

Neocutis Lumiere Firm Riche – Amazing eye cream that is helping with the skin under my eyes and dark circles. LOVE!

Best part I have a discount code use NATALIE10 for 10% off products or consults !

You can do a skincare consult with The Skin Clique by DM’ing them on Instagram @theskinclique, or shoot them an email info@theskinclique.com.

Check out @theskinclique on Instagram or their website a www.theskinclique.com – they’re not just in Charleston they’re actually in 30 states! The Skin Clique offers neuromodulators (I had no idea what that word meant) like Botox and Xeomin, as well as dermal filler, chemical peels, dermaplaning and Ultherapy.  I highly recommend reaching out for a consult and letting them choose the right skincare for you. I can’t tell you how pleased I am with my results and I will continue with the ZO line.
