I love to make Chex mix for road trips and the holidays. This recipe is one of my go-tos. I originally found this recipe via Half Baked Harvest (she is my favorite) and I have made several changes to suit our spicy taste! It is slightly spicy and zesty and so delicious. Beware it is addictive!! I have a hard time restraining myself with this mix. You can honestly do any ratio of the Chex Mix and crackers. We don’t like pretzels so I never add in pretzels but feel free to if you love them! I love the combo of cheez-its and goldfish. I use mixed nuts but again any nuts will work. These little containers are perfect to put the mix in as little neighbor gifts!
I used my Walmart+ membership for all these ingredients which made it super easy with unlimited free delivery! Walmart grocery is the BEST! 2 cups rice Chex mix
2 cups wheat Chex mix
1 cup Cheez-Its
1 cup Goldfish
1 cup Mixed Nuts
1 stick salted butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
2 tablespoons hot sauce (I use Texas Pete)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons dried chives
2 teaspoons dried dill
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 teaspoon cayenne
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Melt butter. Stir in hot sauce, worchestire, garlic salt, onion powder, garlic powder, chives, dill, parsley, cayenne, salt and pepper. Mix together well.
In a large bowl add Rice Chex Mix, Wheat Chex Mix, goldfish, Cheez-Its, and nuts. Stir well and then pour butter mixture over top. Mix together really well stir a solid 2 minutes to make sure it is all evenly distributed.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the mixture evenly on this baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees 45 minutes. Stir every 10-15 minuets as it cooks. Let cool and store in containers up to a week.
