Today I wanted to share some books I have read recently. I truly love reading, always have but finding the time to read now is hard. I usually do most of my reading at night when I get in bed. It helps me relax before I sleep but. sometimes it takes me awhile to finish a book because I am so tired at night-haha!
The Midnight Library | I loved this book, so thought provoking. My therapist recommended it and I think I read this in like 2 days. It is all about life’s regrets and how if our regrets came true how different our lives would look.
The Great Alone | When I read the description of this book it didn’t move me at all. However I loved this book so much. The writing is just beautiful and it is such a raw and moving story. I thought about this book for weeks after I finished it.
The Last Flight | This was an easy read. Suspenseful with a surprise twist at the end! Great book for the beach!
The Silent Patient | So many people raved about this book. It was slow and hard for me to get into. I liked it but didn’t love it.
The Perfect Marriage | I really liked this one, the ending was so good. A murder mystery about a married couple where the husband’s mistress winds up dead, he is being accused of murdering her and his wife is his attorney defending him! This was an easy read with a great twist at the end.
One Day You Will Thank Me | I love Cameron. She is just as sweet and down to earth in person as she is on TV. I read this book in like day. She is so honest and funny. She talks about all the motherhood crap no one else wants to! You feel like you are having a chat with her while you read this book.
Verity | I love anything Colleen Hoover writes. She sucks you right in from the beginning. This story was wild, I really enjoyed it.
Winter in Paradise, What Happens in Paradise, Troubles in Paradise | This is a 3 book series set in St John which of course I loved. This is the story of a women whose husband dies in a plane crash and after his death she realizes he has been living two lives with many secrets. I love Elin Hilderbrand, her books are always an easy read with relatable characters.
love the book recommendation!
I couldn’t get into the Silent Patient either….so certainly didn’t waste my time finishing it. Time is too precious to waste on reading something I am not enjoying. In my younger years I would ALWAYS make myself finish a book. Not so any more. I am older than you but at your age I would finish a book. The years fly by so don’t waste your time on these type of books. I will check out the other ones you recommended. Thanks.
The Four Winds is wonderful by Kristin Hannah.
