I am so excited to finally share Sterling’s room make over with you guys!! We teamed up with Maxtrix Kids Furniture and Wonder Works Toys to re do his room and could not be more thrilled with the results. Don’t worry I will show a few before pictures at the bottom of the post but I wanted to show the gorgeous after pictures first!
As many of you know we live in an older ranch brick house. I love our house but the rooms are not the biggest. That was one of the main reasons Maxtrix Kids Furniture appealed to me because their beds really optimize space. They will basically custom build you whatever works best for your space. If you live locally in Charleston they have a store front shop in Mt Pleasant. I found it super helpful to go there first to look at examples of their beds. They ship everywhere though and have a great online site as well.
Maxtrix does single beds, double bunk beds, triple bunk beds, desks, bookshelves, the possibilities are really endless. Sterling immediately knew he wanted the triple bunk beds – because what young boy doesn’t want triple bunk beds for sleepovers?? and let me tell you our house has been a hot spot for sleepovers this Summer!! Wonder Works was sweet enough to give Sterling a gift card that he used for lots of stufiies (the cute giant stuffed animals in the pictures below)
As far as the design process it could not have been easier. Once we decided what bed we wanted we sent in measurements of Sterling’s room. Then the Maxtrix team designed a plan best to fit his room. The bed arrived a few weeks after we ordered it and that day they sent an employee who assembled everything. All we had to do was have his old furniture moved out. Super easy. They will also come reconfigure beds if you decided you want a different set up later on down the line.
I can’t not even put into words how much we love his bed. It makes his room feel so much bigger. It opens up so much more space down on he floor having two beds up top. I also love having the desk! Sterling is really into writing and art so he will just sit there and doodle, not to mention it will be the perfect spot for homework once school starts back. I also want to mention under the bottom bunk there are 2 huge drawers for storage. We keep most of his clothes in those drawers eliminating the need for a dresser! Another a major space saver!
Be Sure to check out my instagram page this morning (@snoopnattynat) because we are doing an amazing giveaway with Maxtrix (@maxtrixkidsfurniture) and Wonder Works (@wonderworkstoys) One lucky winner will get a free desk and $150 to Wonder Works!!
Now get ready for picture overload!
And now for a few before shots! As you can see his room was so dark and this new design makes it feel so much larger!!

Loved this! I have a five year old son entering kindergarten in just a few weeks and I need to get his room together. We moved in three years ago, and used furniture that we had (suited for adults; functionality, height wise, etc), but now he needs a desk and bookshelves that are suited for him. Sterling’s room is awesome! I picked up that globe! Tempted to get more than one!
