2 Charleston Spots to Try | Park & Grove + Jackrabbit Filly

Apr 6, 2022

Food is my love language simple as that. I love cooking and creating food but I also love dining out and trying new places around town. I wanted to share two Charleston spots we tried recently and loved!

P A R K + G R O V E

Park & Grove was formerly Park Cafe located on Rutledge. They completely redid the interiors and the menu. I have been for lunch and dinner and enjoyed both! It is such a cute date night spot! They are a seasonal eatery meaning the menu changes seasonal!

I am still dreaming about the Farro Salad and Ricotta toast with seasonal veggies we had for lunch. I love that Park & Grove always incorporates seasonal produce in their menu!

The brisket sandwich is delicious if you want something heartier and with meat.

For dinner we shared a few dishes. This is a great spot for sharing dishes.

The chopped kale salad was dressed with the most delicious cashew vinaigrette! I loved the addition of pickled onions and spiced sesame seeds.

Tuna Crudo – light fresh and tasty!

The Grits Bowl was a fun spin spin on grits topped with seasonal veggies.

Of course Evans had to get the Rib Eye! It was massive!

This is a spot we had been wanting to try but it is located in North Charleston, so just not the most convenient for us. We finally drove up there one afternoon and I am so glad we did. We ended up stopping last week for a second time on our way to Charlotte. It is a great place to stop in on the way out of or into town. It is an eclectic menu of new Chinese American food and literally everything is superb.

The 5 spice French fries are the best fries I have had. A bold statement but true. Just make sure to ask for extra dipping sauce you will want it!

Last week we had the sandwich special which was smoked fish made into a patty and topped with chowchow. The flavor was so incredible.

The Crispy Brussels Rice Bowl is perfection! It is soft egg, scallion, KOrean BBQ sauce, short grain rice.

The OG Rice Bowl is market sashimi, masago, pickles, spicy mayo, ponzu, furikake, short grain rice

Sichuan Hot Karaage Rice Bowl is Japanese style fried chicken, soft egg, Filly sauce, ponzu, spicy chili oil, short grain rice.

Both are pictured below and both are incredible! I can’t even put into words the flavors in these dishes.

If you feel like a cocktail we really enjoyed the spicy tequila one!

If you try these spots let me know what you think!
