Confessions

Jul 8, 2011

In the words of Usher “These are my Confessions.” I thought it might be fun this Friday to share a few confessions.

I get Redbook in the mail (still have no idea how or why I got a subscription to this magazine) and kind of love it. I am not gonna lie I just read the Brooke Burke issue and it kept me entertained. I always thought of it as an old lady magazine but it totally is not. It had decent fashion, beauty, and recipe stuff in it.

I watch an obscene amount of Reality TV. I mean like really any reality TV show on Bravo I watch it. Thank you Andy Cohen for making me a reality TV whore.

I eat the same thing for lunch everyday unless I am going out to lunch. I make a chopped Greek salad with homemade dressing and crumbled pita chips. I am even known to order a Greek salad when out to lunch too.

My current job obsession is wanting to be a wine rep. I mean what a fabulous job to get to sample wines all day. You all know I love my wine.

I have a thing for blouses. I wear them daily. In the summer with jean shorts, in the fall with skinny jeans. Matt calls it my daily uniform. My blouse collection is out of control but also quite impressive I must say:) A peek of all the blouses in my closet and one of my daily uniform’s this week. Anna Sui Blouse and Jbrand shorts.

I go to the grocery store everyday. Seriously, the people that work at Harris Teeter and the Piggly Wiggly here all know me and Sterling. I am such a bad meal planner, I wish I planned my meals out for the week. Instead I decide what I want for that day and hit up the grocery store.

When I was pregnant, I really wanted a girl. I am so girly I didn’t know how I would handle all the boy stuff. Now I absolutely love all the boy stuff. I hope I have another boy because now I can’t imagine having a girl! I love this little nugget so much and want him to have a brother. I never thought I would say I want two boys but it is true!

So, what are your confessions? I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Ha, speaking of wine, Cameron and I went on a little boat ride last night and I drank wine rather than beer..was so close to taking a pic and sending to you. So jealous of your blouse collection! That one in the middle with the different color chevron stipes is hottttt!

  2. You are hilarious Natalie! Ok – first off, I am so impressed that your closet is as organized and all the hangers are the same. Thumbs up! And I love your confessions. πŸ™‚ I definitely feel you on the little boy things. I would love Henry to have a brother to pal around with – little boys are just so cute, not to mention it's adorable to see them with their dads. Have a great weekend!!

  4. I love love your blouse collections! Greek salad is one of my faves, I eat it wayyy too often for lunch as well!

  5. Love Redbook too. Lilly and I go to the grocery all the time (Publix, Piggly, Harris). xoxo, love the peak at your closet! Funny, I've noticed that you have an impressive blouse collection. Lot of fun patterns.

  6. I absolutely love this post! Your blouse collection is amazing, love it. I am right there with you!

  7. Lisa Fergus says:

LOVE this post! and Ummm, can I come raid your closet! πŸ˜‰ Amazing "uniforms"!
When I got pregnant with my second, I really wanted a boy too! the thought of knowing what to do and already having all the stuff made sense, but then I found out I was having a girl. I never knew I could be so excited about something I thought I didn't want! And then I bought tutus and hair pretties up the wazoo before she was even born! lol
Are you pregnant? did I miss something during my surgery week?

  8. Becca says:

Great confessions! I love your 'uniform' and I'll admit it as well, I'm horrible at meal planning. All I know is that I'll have oatmeal for breakfast EVERY morning.

  9. OH I love your confessions!!! πŸ™‚ You need to share more of your salad recipe…I eat salads every day, but they are getting boring! This one looks so good! Also think being a wine rep would be a FAB job! And LOVE your blouses! I need more tunic ones for the summer and fall. πŸ™‚

  10. J'adore. You and your confessions…I'm pretty sure my big confession (and it would be a total surprise to the husband) is how much bloody time I spend blogging!!! I will just say, it's A LOT. And I *need* your blouse collection…I better get started if I'm ever going to catch up! I'm willing to take on the challenge (c:

  11. Lili says:

ok, i spot tons of cute blouses there! have a great wknd!

  12. Ms. Bright says:

this made me laugh out loud…I actually had to buy that issue of Redbook last weekend bc a friend's children are featured as models (Page 158)! I felt so weird buying it, I think it was the first time I'd ever flipped through one, outside of a year-old issue at the dentist's office!! I have a thing for blouses, too. Great collection!

    xo

  13. About Us says:

Confession: sometimes I eat 300 calories of chocolate instead of a real meal. Another confession? I want your wardrobe!!

  14. I need to find more blouses that are easy to breastfeed in! haha. Um, I wanted a girl too and now I want all boys. I love my litte Ford so much and he is just smiling…3 months must be a great age. I'm nervous for walking/toddler years but right now I'm so in love. Having a girl makes me nervous!

  15. Love this post! Love all these things except I had a girl second and I will admit that I am head over heels loving every minute of her and all her girliness! πŸ˜‰ My son is also amazing. He loves he his boy things like Star Wars and playing sports but he also loves going on "date nights" with me and even shopping with me! For me, it's the best of both worlds!

  16. Cute post!! I too love reality tv (aaah!) and after having 2 boys, I can't imagine what it would be like to have a girl. Have a great weekend!

  17. I recently started receiving Redbook too and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it! I think it is a really well rounded mag. I am also so addicted to anything on BRAVO. What did we do before that channel existed?

  18. Hello, I tell you I'm looking for my blog followers.
I will begin to publish a novel of suspense.

    I invite you.

  20. LOVE your blouse collection and a peek at your closet πŸ™‚

Wine rep = dream job. I managed to take a few wine classes in college…best. class. ever.

Check out thisweekfordinner.com for great meal plans or just some inspiration!

  21. I go to the grocery store all the time too because you never know what new stuff they brought in this deserted island! Oh!! and I felt the same while pregnant, I really wanted a girl, but now, if I ever have a second child I would really really love a boy, I converted!

  22. Oh gosh — I too get Redbook…and Better Homes & Gardens?!?!? But I love them both. You look super cute in your shorts.

And I had a boy first too, it's just as sweet when they are a big brother to a little sister. You'll love either way!!

  23. Casey says:

I like your comment about wanting to have a girl. I was the exact same way but now that I have boys I can't even imagine having a little girl!! I don't think I would know what to do! Plus, every boy needs a brother! πŸ™‚ AND I go to the grocery store just about every day too, it's like my second home!

  24. Val says:

This post made me giggle….I'm a Bravo addict!! It's pretty much the only network I watch….Greek salads are my weakness and white wine is my sanity in a glass…ha.

  25. I love all your funky blouses–if you ever need someone to take a few off your hands, I'm your girl! And I'm the same way..I always thought I'd want a girl until I started babysitting for a lot of boys and now I want two boys and a baby girl!

  26. Caitlin C. says:

Your blog is adorable! πŸ™‚ I love all of your blouses… I have an obsession with them, too. And my mom gets Redbook but I love to read it, too… it does have some great articles and recipes!

  27. BRAVO = best reality TV! I agree – I can watch any reality show on Bravo and Andy Cohen has grown on me and now I love his aftershow. Your blouse collection is impressive and so colorful! Thanks for the peek!

  28. Bud and Leo says:

Ok now I have U-S-H-E-R in my head! Love this post- we could quite possibly be the same person! I have actually never read Redbook because I too look at it like a Reader's Digest for older women! And blouses are my uniform too! I love love love the look and think I have wayyyyy too many DVF's. I also go to the grocery a few times a week and Andy Cohen is my BFF- CANT WAIT FOR RACHEL ZOE TO START!!!!!
