Scenes From Our Weekend

Dec 12, 2016

Hello Monday.  Can you believe Christmas is 13 days away??  I have lots of shopping and wrapping left to do.  Hoping to knock it out this week!

Thursday was a long day after my girl’s Christmas party.  Taco Bell was needed.  I know Taco Bell can be so gross but I secretly love it, especially a Mexican Pizza.

Later that night we met up with my parents for dinner.

I had several questions about sizing for this sweater and it runs TTS, I am wearing a small.

Off Shoulder Top | Earrings (30% off with code LOVE30) | Jeans | Booties (40% off in a lighter shade)

For the next 2 days Baublebar is offering 30% off the site with code LOVE30.  This is a great time to buy gifts. These Crispin drops are my favorite.  They are light weight and come in so many great colors.  I am wearing the royal blue above.

Multi-colored Drops | Blue + Hot Pink | Stripe

The Pinata tassels are another favorite of mine.  I wear my pink and ivory ones often but all the colors are gorgeous.

Tassel Earrings

Friday morning it was so cold here!  I loved how adorable Sterling looked in his cold weather get up.

My mom and I did a little Christmas shopping and stopped in Antiques of Windemere.  Frances was really trying to convince me she needed this leopard chaise.  It was pj day at school that day hence her Christmas jammies.

Friday night we had our next door neighbors over for happy hour.

My blouse has the cutest split back, I own the white version too.  They are great basic blouses to dress up or down.

What I wore:

Blouse | Jeans | Necklace | Booties

I made sugar cookies for the kids to decorate and they had a blast!

My neighbor Rick (he does amazing photography) entertaining the kids.

Saturday’s outfit.  I ran a few errands and tackled laundry.

My sweater is now 40% off and only $23!

Sweater | Leggings | OTK Boots | Purse

I whipped up a chopped salad for dinner.  This is my favorite chopped salad I make it frequently for lunch.

I use a combo of kale/romaine then add toppings:  chickpeas + cucumber + cherry tomatoes + hearts of palm + yellow bell pepper + red onion + kalamata olives + pepperoncinis.

I usually just mix olive oil and red wine vinegar for the dressing.

Sunday I took the kids to see the Nutcracker with a few of their friends.  I had grand visions of a fun afternoon but the kids weren’t feeling it.  They told me they were bored a million times and kept asking when they could leave.  Then Frances started making farting noises and Sterling was asking why the boy’s pants were see through. It was then I decided we should leave:)  I thought Sterling would be old enough to enjoy it but I knew Frances would be a wild card.  I will say at the Gaillard before the show they had cookies, ornament decorating and pictures with Santa that the kids really enjoyed.

Frances Moon’s dress is available HERE.  If you love smocked clothes Smockingbirds has a great selection and great prices too!!  I just love her Christmas dress.

Frances Moon and her best friend Anna Louis.

Sterling and his best friend Oliver.

We didn’t want to spend a ton on tickets since we didn’t know how the kids would do so we were pretty high up.  I still really enjoyed the performance.  My friend Sarah and I joked that next year we would leave the kids and come alone!

This face cracks me up.

What I wore:

Dress | Booties

Have a great start to your week!

Scenes From Our Weekend

Happy Monday Friends.  Poor Sterling ran a fever all night so I have a sick boy home with me today.

Luckily he got to enjoy our weekend before he got sick.

Thursday I took Frances to the pumpkin patch at her school.  She was so excited to see all the pumpkins.

Since Matt had friends in town, Friday we decided to head to my parents condo and have a sleep over with some of Sterling’s friends.

I had not made a cheese platter in forever so I whipped this up for me, Caycee and Ashley.

This Pinot Grigio is a new favorite.

On the platter : Raisin crisps, grapes, truffled mustard, Brie, 365 crackers, pepperoni, salami,  prosciutto, peppered goat cheese, and white cheddar.

All the kids before bed.

Me, and Caycee, and Ashley.  We had way too much fun after we put the kids to bed playing on Snapchat and Dubsmash.  The kids snapped this picture hence why I am half cut out:)

We saw the most amazing sunset. It truly was breath taking.  Lately Charleston has had the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.  They almost remind me of what the Northern Lights might be like.

Saturday  comfort was key as we had a rainy day again.

I have been living in this tee shirt lately.  I love that it is long enough to wear with leggings.

The leggings are the Spanx leggings I mentioned last week.  They seriously suck you in- they are especially great post baby.  I bought mine right after I had Frances to suck it all in.

Tee Shirt | Leggings | Booties

We ended up keeping Ashley’s daughter Wheeler for the day and another sleepover.  I took the kids out to lunch and loved that they wanted to share a drink.

After lunch we looked at boats and watched the storm roll in.

Sunday was low key.

I stayed in my lounge clothes most of the morning.  This is BR fringe sweater and JCrew sweatpants I mentioned in Saturday’s post, both are on sale.

Sweater (50% off with code BRSAVE)| Sweatpants

I caught these two sneaking in a nap.

We have become quite addicted to Quick Foxes a food delivery service in Charleston (they also have one in Charlotte too).  Lately we have been loving Tasty Thai.  This Tom ga Kai Soup is amazing.  I always get it Thai hot.

Have a great start to your week.

Happy Monday Dolls! Several of you asked what Marshalls I shop at when I am in Charlotte, it’s the one at Cotswold. We always go to that one because it gets in pretty good brands (ie. Vince, See by Chloe, Paige, J Brand, Marc Jacobs, Prada- just a few they have right now). You still have to dig but you can find some great stuff there.

We had a good weekend, but they sure do go by fast! Here’s what went down:

I ended up staying in Charlotte til Saturday. I decided to stay and meet one of my oldest friends for a drink Friday night. Here is what I wore:

Tory Burch Cardigan, Micheal Stars Tank Top, Seven “The Skinny” Jeans, Halston Flats.

Got new lamps for our dining room buffet and a new Lucite chair for our desk. Thank you Mom for the lamps and thank you TJMaxx for the amazing Lucite chair.

We took Sterling on his first bike ride and he absolutely loved it!! Anyone know where we can find a cute kids Helmet? We just took him for a slow spin around the block because we couldn’t find a Helmet.

My mother-in-law gave me the most gorgeous Oscar De La Renta Coffee table book. I love it so much!

The tulips the hubs gave me for Valentines that we planted finally bloomed this week- look how pretty!

Tried the best flatbread ever from Trader Joes, Wild Mushroom and Black Truffle. This will be eaten on a regular basis around here (although I did add more cheese to ours, I love ALOT of cheese).

We cooked one of my all time favorite side dishes to go with our Burgers, Confetti Corn. See Recipe Here. I added fresh Swiss Chard from our garden and it was the perfect addition!

Lastly I am guesting posting over at Sam’s gorgeous blog “The Peak of Tres Chic” about my Monday Inspirations!

Check out my post HERE! Sam’s blog is a must read if you havn’t visited it before!
