Scenes From Our Weekend

Jul 27, 2015

Lots of fun stuff this weekend.

First of all I finally found two matching tufted cane back chairs for our den.  I had been searching for a pair for awhile.  These are in execellent condition and the fabric actually matches our rug!  I was beyond excited.  Thanks to Rust Charleston (they have a booth at the Mount Pleasant Mall).  Liz gets in the best vintage stuff, check her out if you are local.

Friday night we went to party at the yacht club, but enjoyed a glass of wine outside before we left.

Wearing Topshop Dress

We got to watch the storm roll in.  It was beautiful.  Then we had to high tail it home since we were on our golf cart.

Sterling always has the best time there with his friends.

Saturday the kids and hit up the Farmers Market while Matt fished in a fishing tournament.

I had the best breakfast | Green Garden Juice + Soba noodles with pork and a fried egg.

I got the most beautiful bouqet of flowers along with some delicious produce.

Saturday afternoon we met up with some friends and headed back to the Yacht to see how Matt and is friend Andy did in the fishing tournament.

Wearing Off Shoulder Vince Camuto Blouse (40% off) + shorts.

The weather was not the best for fishing, it was super windy and really rough so sadly Matt did not win.  We had a fun evening anyways.

We could not stop laughing about our photo bomber in the back.  We had no idea who he was or that he was in our picture until we looked at them.

Sterling and his lady love, Julia.

Sunday morning was brunch at Hot Little Biscuit.

The grits are amazing.  It was my first time trying them.  I added pimento cheese, roasted tomatoes, and green onions- so good!

One out of two kids looking at the camera is a win.

Romper is old ASOS

Ended the weekend with homemade Smores Ice Cream sandwiches.  The recipe is the new Real Simple Magazine.

I can’t believe Summer is over in 3 weeks.  Savoring time with these little ones.

Have a great Monday!

Did everyone have a great weekend?  We certainly did!  It was pretty busy but with fun plans!

We started the weekend off early on Thursday with happy hour at the Yacht Club.  Caught a gorgeous sunset.  Sterling has been all about wearing his witch hat everywhere!!

I hit up Old  Navy on Friday and found the most adorable stuff for Frances Moon and all on sale!

Stripe Sweater | Bow Leggings | Leopard Sweater | Fox Shoes

Friday night I whipped up some awesome Barbacoa Beef Tacos in the Crock Pot- recipe coming this week!  I love using my Crock Pot in the Fall.

Saturday morning we had Sterling’s last soccer game.  I am sad the season is over, I loved his team and his coach was so awesome.  He got his first trophy and was so proud.

Wearing: Equipment Blouse | JeansSunglasses

Saturday afternoon we headed to Sterling’s friend Andrew’s birthday.

Frances Moon had quite the time with the corn hole table.

We turned our leftover beef into the most delicious nachos ever for dinner that night.

My jacket I ordered from Banana Republic about two months ago came and I love it!!  Such a great jacket for the price- stay tuned for a fun outfit post tomorrow, little sneak peek below.

|| BR Wool Jacket

We found a cool area with graffiti to take some pictures.  Such a true art!

Sunday we cooked a feast for breakfast.  I will be eating clean today after all I indulged in this weekend!

I felt like such an adult because I bought I some major appliances this week- a new washer and dryer and fridge and they both were delivered Friday.  Words can’t explain how excited I am about this fridge and all the space it has.  The snack drawer sold me for the kids.  and please note it is already covered in fingerprints after just being delivered, the kids were all over it.  Next up I am having some built ins done around the fridge hopefully before Thanksgiving!

Happy Monday.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Monday again. We have our third hearing doctor appointment this morning. Apparently one of Frances’ ears is still clogged with ear wax and fluids from birth, they are hoping it will clear on its own but it doesn’t seem to be. Has anyone had this happen before?  Her one ear passed the test fine but we are waiting for this one to clear out in order to re-test.  Wish us luck. The mom in me worries but I am hopeful it will all be ok.

This weekend was pretty low key.

Friday night we stayed in and did abslutely nothing.  We were going to order pizza but then got lazy and just cooked a frozen one.  But it was nice just hanging with the kids.

We spent some time outdoors even though it is still cold here- with a chance of snow Tuesday and Wednesday!  I swear this has been the coldest month I have lived in Charleston!

I love this picture that Sterling took of me and Matt.  He did a pretty good job minus cutting off our heads:)

Several of you asked about my leggings on Instagram when I posted this pic they are almost identical to these Zella Live In Eclipse Dye Leggings.

They also come in this capri version for Spring.

Saturday morning we had brunch at The Glass Onion which is one of our favorite spots here.  I had a pimento cheese omelet with their garden salad.  I dream about their garden salad it is good  It is Bibb lettuce with homemade vinaigrette, fresh blue cheese, and pickled veggies.  Divine I tell you.

We also had the share the fries with Hollandaise.  Pure gluttony on a plate!

Saturday night we went to Carson’s Birthday at Chuckie Cheese.  The kids had a blast but let me tell you it was my worst nightmare,  it was so crowded and that gives me major anxiety with the kids.  Thank goodness they wisely serve booze.  I had a beer and I am not even a beer drinker but the wine scared me – you know Chuckie Cheese doesn’t have good wine.  Poor Frances was not impressed with Chuckie Cheese.

I did a little home styling this weekend.  I have been in the mood to refresh things up and switch things around, I will show more pictures soon when I do a post on my house list for 2014.

Love watching these two together.  How funny is the stank eye Frances is giving Sterling.  She clearly did not like me letting him hold her.

Have a great start to your week!

  4. Minus the chuckie cheese experience it looks like a wonderful weekend! You were brave to head outdoors Saturday (it was freezing in Charlotte). I hope Frances' ear clears. My youngest had tubes at a little over a year but it was from six months of infections and fluids.

  5. I would need a beer for Chuckie Cheese on a weekend night as well. Looks like a nice weekend. She's learning already how to give the stink eye 🙂
