Favorite Easy Holiday Recipes

Dec 18, 2019

Today I wanted to share a few favorite recipes I make around the holidays. These are all super easy and most contain less than 5 ingredients! Entertaining made easy!

These brownies are the stuff dreams are made of and so so easy.  I shared them several years ago but wanted to share again for new readers.

You will need one box of brownie mix and I highly recommend the Duncan Hines Fudgy Brownie Mix.  You will also need the ingredients the brownie mix calls for which is water, eggs, and oil and one package of the Double Stuff Oreos.  Mix the brownies per the directions on the back.  Grease a glass baking dish ( I swear these cook better in glass dishes) and spread half the brownie mix.  Take the tops off the oreos and lay cookie side down across the pan.  Cover with the other half of brownie mix.  Bake at 350 about 20-25 minutes.  Do not over bake these are better gooey.  Let them cool before you cut them.

Tortellini Skewers– layer tomato, basil, fresh mozzarella and drizzle with pesto.

Feta Cheese Bites– Cut Feta into cubes, roll in honey and then roll in chopped pistachios.

Baked Brie Bites. There are so many different ways to make these.  For these I used Mini Phyllo Shells + cubed pieces of Brie then I topped with Apricot Jalapeno Jam.  Fig jam is also really good on these or honey and brown sugar.  Then on top crumbled candied walnuts. Bake at 350 about 10 minutes.

Asparagus + Cream Cheese + Prosciutto.  Drizzle with olive oil and bake 350 degrees about 10-15 mins.

Avocado Dip with Veggies

My next door neighbor Rick gave me this recipe and it is so easy and delicious!

To make this you just puree 1 and 1/2 avocados + 8 oz cream cheese + 1/2 white onion finely diced + juice from 1/2  lemon + 2 minced garlic cloves + salt to taste.
