Kid Snack Ideas

Apr 22, 2021

I mentioned at the beginning of the year one of my goals was to get my kids to eat some healthier snacks. I have been trying to get creative and make some fun and healthy snacks for them and they have really enjoyed helping me make the snacks too! My Walmart + membership makes it easy to create these snacks on a whim! I order online and just have the groceries delivered, Walmart + makes it so easy and convenient. None of these snacks are complicated or take much time to make.

Below are 3 new favorite healthy snacks we all have been loving and enjoying on repeat. At the beginning of the year I tossed out all my old pans bought this new set and these muffin trays from Walmart, they work great for these snacks.

For this bark you don’t need much just a half baking sheet, parchment paper, Greek Yogurt, and any fruit! We used strawberries, blueberries, mango, and kiwi for fun colors! Line the Parchment paper on the baking sheets and then layer the yogurt. You want a fairly thick layer of yogurt. Then scatter the chopped fruit on top. I let each kid have their own pan and then scatter their fruit how they want it. Once the fruit is scattered place in the freezer for 3 hours. Then remove and break into pieces. We store the extra bark in freezer bags in the freezer.

This snack is only 3 ingredients Bananas, peanut butter and Rice Krispies. Peel the bananas and spread peanut butter all over them. Then roll in Rice Krispies to coat them. Place on a plate and refrigerate about 30 minutes, then slices into pieces.

This is another fun spin on my kid’s snack board but in a muffin tin! I make these whenever Frances has friend’s over and they just love it. It gives them so many fun options to choose from. I used Frances Moon’s favorites on this tray- Ritz Crackers, baby pepperonis, apples, goldfish, cheese, cucumbers and blueberries. A few other healthy snacks from Walmart we order and love to have on hand are : Beef Sticks, Cheddar Whisps, Mixed Dried Fruit, and Pistachios.

I find that having all the choices and fun colors really excites the kids. It gives them lots of healthy options to choose from! Can you make yogurt bark with regular Cannon yogurt? I’m not a fan of Greek yogurt!
