The Little Bird Cocktail

Feb 18, 2022

Last night Evans and I did a fun IG live with East Bay Wine and Spirits. They do this series weekly called the Sip Club with different locals and we get to mix up one of our favorite cocktails. We were going to do a dirty martini because it is one of all time favorite cocktails but our friends Erin and Jason made that the week before so we pivoted. We decided to make a Little Bird cocktail. The Little Bird is a drink speciality at Leons here in Charleston. We order one every time we go there! It is crisp, refreshing and not too sweet, all things I look for in a cocktail. I can’t stand sweet cocktails. I wanted to share the recipe with you guys today because we love it so much.

A few tips, always use fresh lime juice it makes a difference. The recipe does call for rosewater which is a random ingredient and hard to find. We ordered this one off Amazon. I truly think the drink would be ok with rosewater if you don’t have and don’t want to order but we just like to make it just like Leons. Too much rosewater will make the drink taste like roses so literally only do 1-2 drops.

I hope ya’ll enjoy it as much as we do! C H E E R S !

1.5 OZ Blanco Tequila (a light reposado will work as well that is what we used)

.75 oz Pamplemousse aka Grapefruit Liquor

.75 ox Fresh Lime Juice

1-2 drops Rose Water

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice and then add in all ingredients. Shake well and pour in a glass of your choice. We like to enjoy this in a coupe glass!
