Today I wanted to share my night time routine. I often get questions about what products I use and love. I will do a separate post on daily beauty and make-up favorites but just want to focus on night time skincare here. My mom always taught me the importance of taking good care of your skin. I remember from a young age always moisturizing. I also always wash my face and never sleep with make up on. I am a bit of beauty junkie and love to try new products but these are my current tried and true favorites.
N I G H T T I M E
Dermalogica Pre Cleanse– I use this before I wash my face to partially remove my make-up. This is a super gentle cleansing oil that not only removes make-up but also moisturizes your skin. I use this facial cotton to remove make-up. You will never use cotton balls again after this facial cotton it is so much softer and more gentle on your skin.
Face Wash – I alternate between two face washes and I love them both.
Elemis Resurfacing Face Wash– I have been using this one for 2 years now.
Indie Lee Brightening Face Wash– this is a newer one I am trying out and love. It smells so fresh and this is a clean beauty line.
Make-up Remover– After I wash my face if I still have some eye make-up residue I use a coconut oil with a q tip to remove the rest. I love the Kopari coconut oil.
M-61 Powerglow Peel Pads– after I wash my face I use these powerglow peel pads. I would say I use these every other night. This is a 1 minute one step exfoliating peel. These help to resurface and clarify your skin as well as minimizing pores and fine lines. I swear by these, trust me you will love them.
Skin Medica Retinol– after that I apply my retinol. My dermatologist really recommended this and I have been using it for 2 years now. I use this 4-5 times a week.
Serum– after the retinol I usually apply a serum. I have 3 I currently love.
Colleen Rothschild Age Renewl Serum– this fights the six signs of aging: texture, dehydration, elasticity, fine lines, radiance, and tone.
Glo Skin Power C Serum– my dermatologist said vitamin C is one of the best things for your skin. This serum helps strengthen and brighten the skin
Herbivore Prism Serum– I love the entire herbivore line. This is a fruit acid serum.
Moisturizer– I follow it all up with a moisturizer. I have several I love and use but these two are my current favorites. I like a thicker moisturizer because I have fairly dry skin.
Drunk Elephant Whipped Cream – this a clean beauty line I just love. This moisturizer is so good. It feels like butter on your skin.
Colleen Rothschild Extreme Recovery Cream– this one is so good for dry skin, super hydrating. They are running a promo right now where if you spend $95 you get a free Green Tea Matcha Toner (which I also love).
Face Masks – I do face masks a few times a week. I apply my face mask after I clean my skin and then follow the other steps. I will freely admit I am a face mask addict. I love them and have so many but these are a few current favorites.
Fresh Rose Face Mask – this is a good lightweight mask made with rosewater, cucumber and aloe vera.
Avocado Sleeping Mask– this is a fairly new mask but I love it. It is super easy because you sleep in it. It smells amazing and makes your skin feel baby soft!
Drunk Elephant Babyfacial– This may be my favorite mask because I feel like it really works. I can really tell a difference in my skin tone and texture after using this. This gently exfoliates and resurfaces your skin.
Farmacy Bright on Face Mask– this is a color changing Vitamin C clay face mask that detoxifies, removes impurities and brightens the skin.
Banana Bright Eye Cream– I asked for an eye cream rec several months ago and this was the most recommended eye cream. I use it morning and night and really like it. It is a brightening eye cream with vitamin C. I am not going to tell you it makes dark circles disappear but it does help.
EradiKate– I use this for spot treatment. I don’t get zits often but when I do they are bad. This stuff works wonders. I had a horrible zit over Christmas and this made it disappear in basically a day. The entire staff at Sephora highly recommended this. It contains the highest level of sulfur that really helps to dry out the zit.
LOVE this post! Great recommendations! Wish I could afford them all!! Didn’t you sell BeautyCounter at one point? Do you not use their products anymore? Also, would love to know if you use any drug store brands, or if everything is high end. Your skin looks great, btw!
Love seeing all your recs! I know awhile back you posted about facial oils – where in your nightly routine do you use one?
I actually have been doing my facial oils more in the morning! I will share more about that on my daily /make-up post!
If you are doing an overnight mask, do you skip your other products? Or do you put the moisturizer and retinol/serum on either under or over the mask?? I always wonder what i should do!!
If I am doing an overnight mask I wash my face, do the m-61 pads and then apply the mask. I usually skip moisturizer because most of the overnight masks are super moisturizing:)
