Our Kiawah Trip

Dec 7, 2022

Last weekend we did a couple’s trip to Kiawah. It is funny we live only 30 minutes from Kiawah yet never go. I had forgotten just how gorgeous and peaceful it is out there, we will be making it a point to return more frequently. We stayed the the Andell Inn which is awesome because it is walking distance to Freshfields Village. Freshfields has some fun shopping and restaurants. Andell Inn also has a pool and the rooms have a full kitchen which is so nice if you are traveling with kids! The hotel lobby is just stunning and they have a cute bar area as well. One of my favorite parts about the Andell Inn is all the amazing artwork. Such a great little boutique hotel in a wonderful location.

DINING AT KIAWAH

Cantina 76 | Great Mexican spot with tasty food and margaritas. Try the dirty queso for sure! The tacos are great as was the salad.

48 WINE BAR | We loved this place and went both days. I loved that you can sample the wines before you buy a glass. They had great charcuterie where you can build your own board! It is also a retail store where you can shop bottles of wine and little gifts.

HEDGES | Cute spot for lunch or dinner. The French Onion soup here was incredible as was the lobster pasta.

Cafe Eugenia | This spot just opened last month and we loved it. So many yummy salads and sandwiches. Perfect if you want something to go but they also have dining as well. You order at the counter. They have a full coffee bar and serve wines by the bottle and beer as well.

SHOPPING |

Bluemercury, Lululemon, Imagine Home Store, Luminery and East Coast Sports are a few of our favorite.

OTHER |

The Ocean Course – I highly recommend stopping by here for drinks or a meal as the property is stunning right on the golf course. You will need a pass to get in here though. It is also about a 15-20 minute drive from The Andell Inn. I highly recommend the She Crab Soup here.

The Sanctuary | I would love to stay here at some point as it really is so gorgeous. It is another great spot for a cocktail. The bar is fun and also a fun spot to just walk around and check out the hotel. Beautifully decorated this time of the year! I heard Jasmine Porch located inside The Sanctuary has a really great brunch we want to try next time.
