The older I get the harder I find it to find jeans that I truly love. The styles are forever changing and I want to stay hip and with the times but man if I don’t still love my skinny jeans. I do think different body types work better for different jeans, not everyone is made to look fabulous in the slouchy boyfriend fit jeans. But I am a firm believer in wearing what makes you feel good. That is why I still rock my skinny jeans even though many people would sigh and say they are out of style. 

I took one for the team and tried on several different style of jeans. I don’t know why but I dread trying on jeans like I dread trying on bathing suits. Maybe because those 2 items are hard to find a perfect fit. I was actually pleasantly surprised that I liked many of the styles that were out of my comfort zone! There really was not pair in this bunch that I hated. My sister tried them all on as well and agreed. 

So let’s get into the try on session. For sizing questions I am 5’9 and my typical jean size is 28. 

Veronica Beard Crosby Jean– This pair was one of my favorites. High rise with the perfect about of stretch. For us taller gals they are really long, if you are shorter you would probably have to hem them! I originally ordered a 28 but exchanged for a 27 and prefer that fit because of the stretch. 

Rag and Bone Sofie High Rise Ankle Jeans – These were a close tie for the widest pair of jeans I ordered. These have stretch and run on the large side so size down I did a 27. As far as wide leg jeans go I felt like these fit really well. 

Mother The Outsider Flood Fray Jeans– these jeans are probably closest to my normal style. This were a rigid fit barely stretch so def do your nomad size or size up. I did the 28. I loved this wash and the fit. These also have a frayed bottom. I could see myself dressing these up or down! 

Ask NYC Soft Twill Jean– These are a great option for people who work in an office because they are a twill material and so soft! They also come in olive green. My sister ordered a pair because she is in an offie everyday and they are a little dressier than jeans. I am in the 27 in these. 

Askk NYC Jeans– This is the same style as the twill pants above but in a jean material. I really loved the fit of these and the style with the front pockets. I did a 28 in the jeans, they do have some stretch. 

Veronica Beard Taylor Wide Leg Jeans– This was the second widest pair jeans but I actually really liked this style. I did my normal size 28. 

AG Cropped Brown Jeans- I love this shade for Fall so fabulous! Wearing size 28. I think you could totally dress these up or down!
