Turkey Sub Bowls

Jan 24, 2022

I love getting the Jersey Mikes Sub in Tub. Sometimes I just don’t want all the bread and this is a great way to enjoy all my favorite sandwich fillings as a salad! I always get my turkey sliced as thinly as possible at the deli counter, I swear this makes a difference! I love heat and pickles so I piled on pickles, banana peppers and pickled jalapeños- but add whatever toppings you normally get on your sub! This salad is packed with flavor and filling. Enjoy!

Thinly sliced turkey

Provolone cheese

Lettuce (I prefer Romaine or Bibb for this but any kind will work)- shredded

Tomato- diced

White Onion- thinly sliced

Mini Bell Peppers- thinly slices

Pickles- sliced into strips

Pickled Jalapeños

Banana Peppers

D R E S S I N G

1/4 cup olive oil

4 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon dried chives

salt and pepper to taste

Mix all together in a dressing shaker or whisk in a bowl

In a bowl arrange the shredded lettuce. Top with tomatoes, onion, bell peppers, pickles, pickled jalapeños, banana peppers. Take 2 slices of provolone cheese and slightly overlap them. Place thinly sliced turkey in the middle and roll into a log. Slice into about 1/2 inch slices and then place turkey/cheese slices on top of salad.

Whisk dressing and then drizzle over the bowl!
