Hard to believe Christmas is next weekend!  

Friday morning we headed to Frances Moon’s Christmas program.  The 2 year old class did a re enactment of the nativity. I about cried when I saw her walk out as Mary.  It was the sweetest thing ever.  Now she keeps telling me Jesus is her baby:)

I did a gold glitter nail for the holidays and I am loving it.  Several of you asked the color and I don’t know the name it was a gel color!

We made these Grinch Santa hats for Sterling’s school party.  They turned out so cute.

Friday’s outfit.  This sweater coat has been on repeat lately and it is now reduced.

Saturday I headed out to Kiawah for our annual girl’s Christmas dinner!  Our first stop is always the wine shop at Freshfields. We love to taste the wine and enjoy a cheese platter!

Then we had dinner at Jasmine Porch.  I gotta say as much as I love the Sanctuary the food was not awesome here.

Love these girls so much.  They mean the world to me.

Sunday we wrapped gifts and watched Christmas movies!

Wrapping paper is from Target, they had some really cute rolls this year.

Then we baked Oreo brownies.  I make these every year around Christmas and they are so good!  I usually make two batches one with double stuffed Oreos and the other with the red Oreos.

First of all I want to say THANK YOU!! To everyone who commented on my parenting post Friday on my blog, instagram or email, thank you.   Sometimes I feel vulnerable when I write more personal posts and I so appreciate how supportive everyone was!!  Motherhood is hard we gotta stick together and be honest and support each other!!

I have recently started a new class at my gym called Red Zone. I alternate between it and Barre class. It is a killer workout,  almost like a cardio circuit class where you alternate between bikes, treadmill, the row machine and weights.  I of course had to snag my favorite high waisted work out pants in this new color.

I snapped this picture of Sterling before his fun run fundraiser at school this week.  How adorable is he??

He was so excited, he ran 32 laps and raised $400, we are so proud of him!

Friday after school we met some friends for a playdate at Vintage Coffee Shop.  That place is the best,  not only do they have tasty food but you can enjoy a glass of wine outside while the kids play.  The kids love playing on the truck there.

Brueggar’s veggie bagel is my new jam.  I get a sun-dried tomato bagel with veggie cream cheese, sun-dried tomato paste, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, bell pepper and cucumber.  It is so good!

Saturday morning Frances did a photo shoot for the Spring 2017 Pixie Lily line.  They did the photos at Miss Whaley’s garden downtown and it was so gorgeous.  A few out takes I snapped.

They were pretty excited about the balloons afterwards.

Saturday night I went to The Lumineers concert with a few girlfriends.  The show was amazing.  Live music is always so invigorating! 

What I wore. As always I can’t get enough Mara.  This runs TTS, I am in a size small.  I was so excited this one didn’t have pockets, she usually puts pockets on the hips and I don’t like that.

Sunday we went to the pool and then I did some prep work for the week.  I usually try and make my lunches ahead of time.  This week was Mediterranean Lentil Salad.

Since I was prepping food Sterling really wanted to bake too so I let him bake his own cake.  He did it all on his own and was really proud of himself.

Sunday night happy hour.  I found these napkins this weekend at Mac and Murphy and knew I needed them:)  Those are fresh figs from our tree!  We have had our tree three years now and it finally fruited!

Dinner was Veggie Ranch Pizza.  We ate this all the time growing up and it is still a favorite.

I hope everyone is refreshed from the weekend and ready to get back in the swing of things.  Monday morning always comes way too fast around here!

Thursday night I headed to diner with some girlfriends.  We ate at The Screen Door on James Island.  The fried Brussels sprouts were amazing but I have to say the rest of the food was just ok.

I wore my dress I ordered during the Shopbop sale.  I felt like it was a touch short on me as dress but made a great tunic.  I also plan to wear it with black leggings. I am wearing size small.

I always love the tacos at Bon Bahn Mi but lately I have been all about their salad.  I get mine with the lemongrass chicken.  The ginger dressing is amazing. It is a great lunch on the go.

Friday after school we made some spooky treats since my nephew Finley was coming in town.  Rodney clearly wanted to dig in too.  The spider gummies are actually the octopus ones because I could not find spider ones.  I just cut their heads and reattached them to look like spiders:)

I finally found a mirror for our Dining Room and the rest of our chairs were delivered.  Just a few more finihsing touches and the room will be done.  I am so thriled with how its turning out.

Friday night we had happy hour with my parents and sister and brother in law.

Saturday we kept my nehew Finley overnight.  Holy wow it made me realize how hard twins would be.  Major props to you moms of multiples. 

Sunday we awoke to cooler temps and it was delightful.  Fall is hands down my favorite season.

Our favorite way to the end the weekend is usually a golf cart ride to the Yacht Club it was chilly but the kids had a blast playing.

This weekend Sterling and I headed to Charlotte for an engagemant party and to pick up a few things for Baby Girl’s nursery. Matt stayed behind to have a solo weekend and do some fishing.   He’s lucky right??  What’s a solo weekend when you are a mom?  He deserves it though he has been working so hard at his new law firm.

 Before I left town I made a big batch of Seafood Lasagna. It is one of Matt’s favorite meals and I figured that way he would leftovers for the weekend while we were gone.  I posted this recipe a long time ago when I started my blog, you can check it out HERE. It is so good and a different spin on lasagna which is always nice.  It is creamy goodness filled with crab and shrimp!

For the engagement party I wore my new favorite Rag and Bone Dress.  I am telling you I wear this dress all the time and I think I will love it just as much not pregnant.  It is such a great staple dress for your closet.  The navy version I am wearing is 60% off HERE and Shopbop has the gray version on sale for 50% off HERE.  Both only have mediums and larges left.  If you need a small SAKS has it HERE also on sale.  I got a small because it has quite a bit of stretch to it.

The party was a blast.  The bride to be Lauren is between my sister and I.  To the left of me is my sister in law, Katie.  My sister is wearing my ASOS Floral Dress that I love.

We had to snap a picture of us with my mom. So glad we are adding another girl to mix.  We are all so incredibly close it makes me so excited to have a daughter (heres to hoping she won’t hate me).

There was so much incredible food at the party but my favorite was these Goat Cheese Balls with Crispy Apples on top.  I must learn to recreate these for parties.

I love coming to Charlotte because they have a Crewcuts store.  Why did the Charleston JCrew ditch the crewcuts section?? I miss it so much,  it is my favorite place to shop for Sterling.  My parents love treating him to back to school clothes and we picked these up- all sale items are additional 30% off with code SHOP30.   We got the Chinos in the bright yellow, green, and royal blue.  They are my favorite shorts for Sterling.

Sterling is pretty obsessed with the Bulls Eye Tee and wants to rock it all the time.    He put together this outfit himself, and was pretty proud of it.

Sterling has been so sweet lately kissing my belly and talking to his baby sister or “my baby” as he refers to her:)  Matt wasn’t home but I had to capture this sweet moment of him kissing my belly and telling her he loved her.

I am off to run some errands with my mom and that includes picking up some Fall Nail Polish.  Have I mentioned I am ready for fall?  I am searching for these two Essie Colors:  Don’t Sweater it and Bopping for Baubles.

Here is what went down!
On Friday I went to the Spring event at Novel here in Charleston and got the cutest hand painted bags by WayWay ( Blue Chickadee). Inside each bag there was a notebook and pen, the perfect little gift in my opinion. WayWay does some many cool hand painted things- you can check out more on her blog here. I scarfed up a few of these bag sets to save for gifts. For all you locals you should totally stop in Novel sometime, in addition to WayWay’s painted items, they had the most gorgeous stationary by Bon Vivant and I am still dreaming about the Jewelry by Jane Pope. A girl could do some damage in there!

We enjoyed St Patty’s at the beach near our house. The weather was perfect all weekend.

My local wine store recommended this great Chardonnay blend. I love shopping for wine at local wine stores vs the grocery store because you can find such great wines at a great price because the mark up is not as high. This wine was delish and retailed for $9.00. I find on a whole wine stores have a much better selection and the owners are always super knowledgeable.


We made the most amazing Shrimp Nachos. Recipe to come Wednesday and trust me you don’t want to miss this one! Matt and I both agreed these were one of our best creations yet!


Enjoyed my Sunday morning (a wee bit hungover) outside reading Vogue, sipping coffee, and watching my little man run around. The perfect morning.

Have a great Monday! Its the start of my Birthday week and I believe in celebrating for a full week! I have decided I really want a pair of colored jeans for my birthday. I don’t own any colored jeans, so I want to know who makes the most perfect fitting colored jeans? I am leaning towards these two colors, either coral or mint green. I would prefer not to spend a fortune on the jeans but I am willing to pay more for a great fitting pair. So tell me ladies where should I shop to find the best colored jeans?
