Our Harbour Island Bahamas Trip
It has taken me awhile to get this post up because I took so many photos! We traveled to Harbour Island Bahamas back in July and just had the best time. It is such a magical little island! Crystal clear water, the nicest people ever and delicious food. We can’t wait to visit again. This post is lengthy but I wanted to include all the details from where we stayed to food to what to do!
I had a few questions and getting there. We flew Charleston to Miami to Eleuthera. Then from the airport at Eleuthera you take a 5 taxi minute ride to the Harbor. There are plenty of taxis waiting once you get off the plane. Once you get to the Harbor there are usually one or two water taxis waiting to take you to Harbour Island. Bring cash because you will need it for the taxi and the boat ride! After you arrive by water taxi you can taxi to where you are staying, walk or rent a golf cart. The island is only 3 miles long so perfect for golf carting. We rented a golf cart and were happy to have it!
WHERE WE STAYED – CORAL HOUSE
We rented my friend Chassity’s house, Coral House. It is the cutest house and we would absolutely stay there again. The house is 4 bedrooms and 4 baths and it was the perfect size for us. Greta for a family or group of friends traveling together. The decor is just perfection, I loved every single room in the house. I even had a mirror that became my favorite selfie mirror- haha. It has a gorgeous pool and they had the nicest house manager who came everyday and washed our towels and cleaned up for us. It was walking distance to so many great spots as well.

WHERE WE DINED
I loved staying at Coral house since we had a full fridge and kitchen. We stocked it with waters, drinks and snacks for the kids. We went to the grocery store the day after we arrived and bought drinks, snack food, some frozen pizzas, and Mac cheese for easy dinners if needed. That way we didn’t need to dine out for every meal although we ate many meals out because I am a foodie and love to experience food when I travel. Honestly every place we ate at had really incredible food! We made a few reservations and winged the rest.
DA VINE SUSHI
Sterling and Frances love sushi so I knew this spot was a must and it ended up being one of our favorites. Here they really recommend reservations as it is pretty small so definitely book ahead of time. The sushi and drinks were incredible. We kept ordering more and more rolls because they were all so delicious.
THE DUNMORE
We actually came here twice we loved it so much. Amazing views and the interiors are just so cute! The Veggie board was a must for me and we also shared the tuna nachos. We never had reservations here we just stopped in.
COCOA COFFEE HOUSE
We grabbed coffees and matchas here most mornings. They had a berry smoothie and rainbow bread that Frances loved. I had the veggie wrap and it was so fresh and delicious. It is a small space with limited seating so we usually took our coffees and snacks to go.
CORAL SANDS
Super cute spot on the water. Cool vibes and interiors. I had the turkey salad sandwich and it was a winner! The service was a little slow here would be my only complaint but it’s island time!
THE LANDING
We ate breakfast here twice and dinner once. Loved the staff and atmosphere here. Also the food is amazing! I didn’t snap a picture but both kids had the banana pancakes and they are out of this world good. I am not a huge pancake person and loved them.
ROCK HOUSE
We didn’t dine here but Evans and I stopped by for cocktails. Stunning property on top of a rock, you literally walk up a bunch of steps to get to the stop.
SWEET SPOT CAFE
Cute little breakfast or lunch spot. I believe it was Vegan if my memory serves me. Really tiny inside so more to go. They had some awesome fresh squeezed juices and cocktails. The Asian Wrap was also really good!
ROOSTER TAIL BAR
This is located at Valentine’s Marina a short walk from our house. We dined here 2-3 times. Great casual environment. We all loved their quesadillas.
BLUE BAR & KITCHEN
We used the beach access right beside here so strolled up one day after the beach. We sat on the deck and ate in our bathing suits. Delicious margaritas and the kids loved the poke bowl. Buffalo Cauliflower was also really good. This is located at the Pink Sands Resort.
SHOPPING
Hands down my favorite shop was the Blue Rooster. Really cute and unique clothing and accessories.
Also definitely take a stop by A&A Hidden Treasures. They usually monogram bags which is what I wanted but the lady was out of town while we were there. They had a great shell collection that they had lacquered and preserved. Both kids brought one to bring home.
SIGHT SEEING
TYMAN’S BOAT CHARTER
We charted a boat for 4 hours and it was the highlight of our trip. I had seen several people post photos from this boat charter and they were incredible. We saw turtles, starfish, stingrays and swam with the fish and they captured it all with underwater cameras. Such amazing memories to treasure. Our captain and photographer Breanna were so nice, laid back and knowledgeable.
THE LONE TREE
The lone tree is a large piece of driftwood that almost looks like a piece of art. We golf carted here and then walked out to the tree. Pretty cool sight.
BEACH ACCESS
There are several beach access points around the island. We used the Pink Sands access point the most. We would just golf cart to the access park and walk down to the beach. Really easy.
If you get the chance to visit Harbor Island it really is so beautiful and such a special place. We loved our time there and can’t wait to visit again.
