Holiday Party Details + Appetizer Suggestions

Dec 15, 2017

Happy Friday!  On Wednesday night I hosted my annual Dirty Santa Christmas Party.  I will leave to your imaginations what the gifts were, all I can say we laugh alot.   I wanted to share a few pictures of the food I made plus share of the recipes I didn’t make that you guys suggested.  Ya’ll sent so many amazing recipes my way and I can’t wait to try some of these.  Bacon Wrapped Dates was one of the most suggested recipes so I made that for my party.  If you scroll to the bottom of this post I linked up some other recipe suggestions!

Champagne is always a must for a Christmas party.  I loved this idea of adding rosemary and cranberries to the ice bucket for a fancy look.

I always like to arrange my glasses on a tray.  If you like Pinot Noir I really recommend this one from Tuli.  They sell it at Total Wine.

A cheese platter is always a must when I entertain.  You can shop my exact cheeseboard HERE and it is on sale.  It is the perfect size for entertaining. I like to usually do 3 cheeses and 2 meats and then fill in with crackers, nuts, olives, and dried fruit.

Asparagus + Cream Cheese + Prosciutto.  Drizzle with olive oil and bake 350 degrees about 10-15 mins.

Baked Brie Bites. There are so many different ways to make these.  For these I used Mini Phyllo Shells + cubed pieces of Brie then I topped with Apricot Jalapeno Jam.  Fig jam is also really good on these or honey and brown sugar.  Then on top crumbled candied walnuts. Bake at 350 about 10 minutes.

I love using veggie chips when I entertain because the colors are so pretty.  These are the Terra Chips with 2 dips I made.

Knorr Spinach Dip + Black Bean Hummus

Bacon Wrapped Dates stuffed with Gruyere.  These are also great stuffed with goat cheese or blue cheese.

I always like to serve just a small sweet nibble.  I usually order cupcakes from Sugar a local bakery.  They do such a great job.

I never took a picture of the table fully set but here is a picture in progress.  My appetizer plates are from Target a few years ago but you can shop a similar set HERE and HERE.

What I wore:

Red Blouse (50% off)  | Earrings (30% off) | Leggings

Love these ladies so much.  They have been such good friends to me this past year.

I wanted to share links to some of the appetizers you guys suggested.  So many great ones.
