I have been getting some messages about my current skincare routine so I thought I would share my morning skin care line up. I am not a beauty expert by any means but I have tried lots of products and these are ones I really love and I think keep my skin looking young and fresh. I am listing in order of how I use them.
ONE |Exfoliate | If I shower in the morning I like to exfoliate my skin. I do this a few times a week. Right now I alternate between Colleen Rothschild Micromineral Scrub and M-61 Perfect Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub. I think exfoliating your skin really helps to get rid of dead skin to create a smoother and clearer complexion. I keep these in the shower and use them then.
TWO| C E Ferulic Oil | I always apply this first thing to my clean skin. I have been using it for years now. I was using the Skinceuticals CE Ferulic which is my OG and I love it but for the past 6 weeks I have been trying out Dr Lara Devigan’s Vitamin C + B + E Ferulic Serum. I kept hearing so many people rave about it (like Molly Sims and Lo Bosworth) and then when I went to order it, it was sold out which made me want it even more (haha). It came back In stock and I promptly bought it and truly love it. This serum helps with wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Vitamin C is one of the best anti-aging things you can do for your skin. I find overall this makes my skin clear and even toned.
THREE | Colleen Rothschild Sheer Renewal Face Cream + Omorovicza Miracle Face Oil | Next Step is to moisturize + face oil. I mix these two together and apply on my face and neck. I do a squeeze of the lotion on my palm and then a drop or two of oil and mix together. I have been using the Colleen Rothchild Sheer Renewal Face Cream for years and I love it, it is lightweight yet still very hydrating! The Omorovicza Miracle Face Oil was in my Swan Beauty Box a few months ago and I have been hooked ever since. It is called the Miracle Face Oil for a reason. It replenishes and nourishes your skin like a rich cream yet absorbs instantly like a serum. The combo of the two together leaves my skin hydrated and primed for the day.
THREE| Dr. Barbara Sturm Glo Drops | I apply the glo drops next. These are a complexion boosting, wrinkle preventing serum. I find they help revitalize your skin and help promote a healthy glow.
FOUR| Sunscreen | Next is sunscreen, currently I am using the Colleen Rothschild Triple Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 40. I like a light weight non greasy sunscreen for under my make-up. This one protects against UVA/UVB rays, pollution and blue light.
FIVE |Indie Lee I-Waken Eye Serum | Lastly before I apply my make up I apply an eye cream or serum. My current go to is the Indie Lee I-Waken Eye Serum. It is all natural and uses horse chestnut, mountain ash bud and witch hazel to address dark circles and puffiness. I find it really helps to awaken my under eye area before I apply make up. I have always had bad under eye circles and I find this one helps brighten them.
