Our Folly Beach Staycation
Sometimes it is such a treat to do a little staycation in your own town. We live not even 20 minutes from Folly beach yet we rarely go. Last Friday we hopped in the car and did a short weekend down at Folly Beach and had a blast.
We stayed at The Branley House which was the most gorgeous house. It is right across the street from the beach and nestled in a quiet little cul de sac. We would absolutely stay here again. It had 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. It was so spacious and decorated beautifully. We loved enjoying our coffee and wine on the screen porch. The backyard was nice and secluded and had a fire pit as well.
You can check out the dates the house is available HERE. I will say I much prefer the beach in the off season. Less crowded and not as hot! A few photos of the house below!
Where to Eat
There are a few cute spots down at Folly Beach We love to eat at.
RITA’S
This is owned by the same company that owns Halls. It is always a hit and my kids love it too. The cheeseburger, spicy chicken sandwich and blackened grouper sandwich are our favorites. The hummus appetizer is also great along with the chopped salad (it’s the same chopped salad Hall’s serves).
JACK’S CUP OF SALOON
This is a cute eclectic spot with a killer menu. I wanted to order so many different things to try. We shared the Cabbage and Kale Salad, Red Curry Mac and Cheese and French Onion Bucatini. Highly recommend them all.
Other spots we love down at Folly Beach:
Lost Dog Cafe
Great breakfast spot that is pet friendly! The breakfast burrito is so good.
LowDown Bar
My parents introduced me to this spot and we love it. Great cocktails and food! The cheeseburger, avocado toast are some favorites.
Center Street Coffee
Great little coffee shop that also serves wine!
Burt’s
Great spot to grab a sandwich to go or snacks.
Woody’s Pizza
Little dive spot with great pizza!
Almost all the shops at Folly beach are pretty touristy and cheesy outside of Mc Kevelin’s Surf Shop. That being said my kids love going in the cheesy stores.
