I hope you all moms had a special day yesterday. Kids can be tough and trying but it truly is such a blessing to be a mom. One of the highlights of my weekend (besides having my family in town) was finally finding peonies. They are my favorite flower and have been so hard to find this season.
Friday night my sister and I snuck out for a kid free dinner at The Grocery, one of my favorite restaurants. My sister had never been so I was excited for her to try it. The dirty green martini is a fun spin on a dirty martini but made with pickled tomato juice instead of olive juice.
I always like to order several dishes to share. We had the shaved zucchini salad, broccoli, pasta, lamb meatballs and crispy pimento cheese.
The crispy pimento cheese was seriously one of the most amazing things I have ever tasted. It was basically fried pimento cheese. A must try if you go to The Grocery.
What I wore:
Saturday my sister and I did a little shopping for my mom. Always love to stop in Candy Shop Vintage.
What I wore. This shift dress is the best. It is made of thicker material and such a great fit and under $100.
Frances Moon and Finely. They are only 9 months apart and sometimes people ask if they are twins:)
My sweet nephew Rutledge.
Saturday night he had happy hour with my parents and a few of my brother in laws friends.

Sunday I hosted a brunch for my mom. We figured taking 4 kids to a restaurant might be a disaster and I always love an excuse to cook! A few of you asked about my table runner and it was from Furbish Studio last year but I found an identical one on Etsy HERE.
I cooked Sausage + Brie casserole ( I used this recipe but didn’t use bread and added in sauteed spinach and onion), Jalapeno cheddar grits, and Asparagus Gruyere tart.
So thankful for my Mom. She is such an inspiration and such an amazing mom. It was the best Mother’s day spent with her and my sister.
Especially lucky to be the mom of these two.

That afternoon after my family headed back to Charlotte the kids and I headed to the beach.
I have to share the sweet card Sterling made me and Frances Moon’s hilarious answer on her card.
I have been laughing about this all weekend. I have no idea what cuddling the horse means:)
Happy Monday!
It looks like you had a great mother’s day. Your recipes, as always, look delicious! I got the same card and my daughter said I was really good at eating. : )
Hi Natalie,
Thank you. Your post are always helpful. I really like the 9 Things to give up!
Where is your dining room chandelier from? Love it and looking for a new one 🙂
Thanks!
Hey Abby! It is from Lowes.
