Scenes From Our Weekend

Nov 21, 2016

Happy Thanksgiving Week!!

On Thursday we celebrated Frances Moon’s birthday early with a few of her playgroup friends. Her birthday is hard since it’s right near Thanksgiving so friends are usually out of town.  We typically celebrate early or late.

Of course we had to pick up cupcakes from Sugar Bakeshop .  They are the best.

We did a joint celebration with our friend Effie, aka Sterling’s girlfriend:)

Frances always likes to be dressed up.  Ashley brought the girl’s the cutest crowns and boas.

I can’t believe she is almost 3!!

What I wore:

Sweater | Jeans | Earrings | Purse | Booties | Sunglasses | Ring

Friday I headed to Dolly Parton with a few girlfriends.  It was seriously one of the best shows I have ever seen.  She was amazing.  She played several different instruments and told funny stories between songs.  It made me love her even more!

My blouse runs on the large side so definitely size down, I am wearing an XS.

What I wore:

Blouse (on sale) | Earrings | Purse | Jeans | Pumps

Saturday was pretty low key.  We ran some errands and worked around the house.

This nightgown is so soft!!

Saturday night we had dinner with my parents! Frances loves her Big Poppie so much.

My mom made 7 layer dip, my all time favorite.

This turtleneck is the best.  I love the slightly oversized boxy fit.  It also comes in a gray stripe.  I am wearing a size XS.

What I wore:

Turtleneck | Metallic Beads | Horn Necklace | Jeans | Booties

Sunday we had brunch and then met to try and snap some photos for Christmas cards! Fingers crossed we have a good picture!

Loving this leopard infinity scarf and its only $25.  Would make a great Christmas gift!

Scarf | Ring | Sweater (on sale)

I made the most delicious quinoa veggie chili + jalapeno cheddar cornbread for dinner!  Recipe coming soon!

I wanted to share Baublebar is offering 30% off all Holiday styles. I really love their jewelry.  It is inexpensive but the quality is good.  I talk about these tassel earrings often because I love them so much and you can get them on sale now!  These sets are basically like getting a pair free with the discount. You could always separate them too and use for individual gifts.  They would be great stocking stuffers.  Use code HOLIDAY30.

Sunday’s best.  This turtleneck dress is so soft it feels like a tee shirt dress.  It is under $60.  It also looks cute with knee high boots.  I am wearing a size small.  It comes in 3 other colors: black, olive green, and burgundy.

My booties are my new jam.  I bought them last week and wore them all weekend.  They go with everything and are so comfy!

Have a wonderful start to your week.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Mar 21, 2016

Today officially starts my birthday week!  I like to celebrate for a week much to Matt’s dismay:)

Here is what happened in our lives over the weekend.

Friday after school I took the kids to Jenni’s ice cream for a snack.  I was secretly craving it, it had been almost a year since we had been.  I had the salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks and it was amazing.  The kids both chose sherbet and it was the best sherbet I have tasted.

It was quite fitting Frances was wearing her Pink Chicken for Target ice cream dress:)

Saturday morning I took the kids and we stopped by The Progeny Pop-Up Shoppe.  I always love when Lauren brings her goodies into town!

Frances was trying to make off with the balloons as we left.

After the Pop Up Shoppe the kids and I stopped in Collective Coffee.  I had heard such great things about it but had never been!  I loved the interior, so bright and fresh.

I had the cobb salad and avocado toast and both were so good!

I ended up wearing this dress I bought at Old Navy Saturday night.  I love the style and fit!

I am wearing a small for those curious about sizing.  It is on sale right now for $25!

Old Navy Dress | Twine and Twig Necklace | BR Shoes

We were sitting outside playing and the kids heard the ice cream truck and freaked out!  They both picked snow cones and then both promptly spilled them.

I have to show a close up of Frances Moon’s shoes because they are so cute!  Right now all shoes at Target are buy one get one 50% off!

Sunday we hit up our favorite, Bagel Nation for breakfast.  I am addicted their bagels and homemade cream cheese.

That afternoon we dyed Easter Eggs.  Sterling actually did a really great job trying to tie dye his eggs.

I am wearing Yosi Samra flats, also in a sandal version.

Picked up this blouse at Loft over the weekend.  I love the cut out detail.  Runs on the large side, I am wearing an XS.  It is on sale today for 30% off, no code needed!

Caught the most amazing sunrise this morning.

Here’s to a fabulous and productive Monday!

  1. Ha! I thought our family was the only one that celebrated "birthday week!" My (really big) birthday was in February. The plan is to celebrate ALL year–50 weeks plus two bonus weeks:). Happy Birthday week!

That Old Navy dress! I'm going to have to pick one up! It's so non-Old-Navy-looking. šŸ™‚ I stopped by Target over the weekend to try to grab some cheap summer shoes for Georgia and someone had CLEANED HOUSE. There was absolutely nothing left except things like Frozen sneakers. No little girl sandals at all. šŸ™
