I made these wontons for our New Years Day Brunch and had lots of requests to share the recipe. They are crazy easy to make and always a crowd pleaser. You can’t go wrong with these. The combo of the sausage, ranch and cheese in a crispy shell is amazing. The pickled jalapenos give these some extra flavor and just a touch heat. These would be perfect for any upcoming Super Bowl parties. If you want to make these ahead of time I would partially cook them and then just reheat before you serve them. Enjoy!
T E X M E X W O N T O N S
1 package hot sausage
1 cup ranch dressing (I used Brianna’s brand)
1 small can sliced black olives
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup monterary jack cheese
3 tablespoons diced pickled jalapenos
1 package wonton shells (found in the refrigerated section near the lettuce)
Cook sausage until browned and then drain on a paper towel. In a large bowl mix the sausage, ranch dressing, olives, cheeses, and jalapenos.
In a mini muffin press each individual wonton in a cup until it forms an open cup. Fill each cup with a spoonful or two of the sausage mix. Bake at 350 degrees 10-15 minutes.
I wanted to share a few Kitchen Gadgets that I use often!
This is perfect for when you don’t want to use your big food processor. I used this to chop the GG Crackers from my post yesterday. I also use it for herbs, nuts, and salsa.
This is your best friend for making soups. This one is a great deal because it comes with so many accessories. On sale for $30 off now.
If you don’t have one of these you need one. I use mine every single day. I use it for making dressings and my hot lemon water. It really helps to get all the juice out of the lemon without the seeds.
I have tried several different garlic pressers and this one is the best. I use my garlic press almost everyday when I am cooking. You can toss this in the dishwasher too which is nice.
Everyone needs a good pair of kitchen shears. I use mine for cutting meat and they work great for trimming flowers too. This pair was $50 and now only $12! I just ordered it to have a back up pair while they are on sale.
I’m not a Huge fan of Olives….do you think I could add black beans?
absolutely you could easily sub black beans for the olives! Great idea!
Good morning! I’d love to pin this and several other recipies you have posted lately. Is there any way to pin directly from your posts? Alternatively, if any of your upcoming recipies can be found on your Pinterest page could you consider alerting us as to where we can find them?
Thanks!
Love that juicer! When I was at crate and barrel, a guy in the checkout line told us to get out and go buy it immediately and he was right! I want that grinder that you have – love that it’s tiny.
